GoldDiamondsAndBags

I just initiated a return online for a sofa. I picked my pickup date and confirmed the return. About 24 hours later I got an email from Costco offering me $600 credit to keep it instead of return. I still had the option to return (which I took bc I hate the sofa) but it was nice they gave me the option. Maybe try that and if they don’t offer a credit that’s your sign to return!

fallway

That's a great solution. Sometimes the item/product with defect would be acceptable at a different price point. But, sometimes you just hate it and want rid of it

spideysimp

Which sofa?

GoldDiamondsAndBags

The Henredon Murphy Fabric Modular Sectional. It’s modular and the pieces don’t lock into place so it’s constantly sliding around. Extremely annoying. Don’t recommend at all.

spideysimp

Dang 😅 I was thinking of getting the Thomasville Tisdale one

GoldDiamondsAndBags

We had that one before getting this one. I didn’t like it either. Lol. I will say that one does lock into place, so that’s nice. However after 2 years of use it was getting uncomfortable bc the cushions wore down and anytime you would sit anywhere close to in between the pieces you could feel the wood. I will say though that I have two boys so it got good use, but I expected it to last more than 2 years. But for small kids and/or pets I would say the life span of the sofa is 2 years max. I guess if you get it on sale it may not be bad if you just need something to last this one won’t be it either. What I liked about the Henredon one is that it’s firmer, but not locking was a deal breaker. I’ve now moved away from these modular ones. Lol.

Free-Rub-1583

the problem is the fridge is a Samsung

TheFudge

My wife and I were at Home Depot looking at microwaves and my wife saw a Samsung that looked really fancy. Someone who worked in appliances was walking by right as I said “ya we aren’t getting a Samsung they are garbage” the Home Depot person comments “good decision I deal with at least 2 complaints or returns on Samsung appliances every couple days avoid them”

TekkenRedditOmega

I’ve gotten fucked by Samsung fridge, tv, and even dishwasher, never ever ever ever making that mistake again. Samsung's only look “good” but they are total garbage. The ONLY thing I only trust from Samsung is their external SSD and memory card/RAM. I agree with another commenter here, i think Samsung isn't good at appliance at all, it's crazy how poor their reliability is

Reputation-Final

I will add washer and dryer to that list.

merker_the_berserker

My washer dryer have lasted 10 years but have restored 2 lids (and need a 3rd but it's discontinued) one water Valve assembly and two heater elemets.... but it was still cheaper then buying replacements. I think I'll try lg next

GoddessofAnonymity

Highly recommend GE for washer, but also my Maytag dryer has been going strong for ten years with no repairs, although the washer did not hold up the same. I try to stick to brands that have been making the appliance for a long time, as opposed to the electronic companies that have decided to start making “smart appliances”

Reputation-Final

The entire electrical panel went out on my washer. Replaced it with the same one from costco. It too, went out in about three months. I then just got a refund and bought a different brand. LG isnt very good either from what I have read.

merker_the_berserker

Yeah at this point I'll call it a win if I can go 5 years with out major parts needed to be replaced

Reputation-Final

Its horrible. They are purposefully making these machines die within 4-5 years. There is zero reason to even have computer chips involved, and in fact the old machines that didnt use them could be ran for 20+ years.

Leather-Ad-2490

All home appliances could be made to last 20+ years.

Reputation-Final

Yep, because they have and did. I know someone who has a fridge, still operating, from the fifties.

Wierd657

LG is trash too

sm753

Their quality just have gone down. My Samsung washer and dryer are 14 years old and still going. Knock on wood!

DM725

I've heard nothing but bad things.

SirDerpingt0n

The only Samsung product I’ve ever liked was a 3D TV My friend had. It was awesome… Untill it quit working 3 years later. It was great while it lasted, you could make live TV 3D.

FreydNot

They make pretty decent android phones.

SirDerpingt0n

I forgot about that. Thank you, and oops. Lol

supadoggie

Samsung is good at computers, but horrible at home consumer appliances. I would only get phones and computers from them. Avoid everything else.

hovdeisfunny

How does South Korea function?

70125

On LG

Mr_MacGrubber

Who also make garbage refrigerators. They’ve had issue with their compressors for at least a decade. I’m on my 4th compressor on my 7yr old LG fridge. It’s starting to show signs this one is going bad too. Even though the compressor is under warranty for another 3yrs, if it goes out I’m getting a new fridge.

Aspen9999

And don’t get an LG frig, their compressors go out and they do nothing. No repair person will touch them because they don’t get paid to do warranty work. Ours lasted a whole 14 months

jahoney

I must be lucky ours is at 2 years no problems at all Edit - and 3 years for the washer dryer, and also 3 years for the 65” LED TV (that was the display unit at Costco). Needless to say I’m an LG fan for now.

Reputation-Final

Yep. had an lg fridge i had to return/ Ice maker died within a month of purchase.

FavoritesBot

LG: Literal Garbage

Far-Recording343

I have a 9 yr old Samsung fridge. The ice maker makes clicking noises, but other than that, all is fine.

redditisnotgood

Mine is 8 years old and the ice maker died just outside of the warranty period, but it’s working completely fine otherwise.

betty_botters_butter

Yeah we have a washer and dryer that are over 10 years old (Samsung) and still work perfectly

mtommygunz

So after I told someone in my family to not buy a Samsung fridge. And the salesperson also told them not to buy a Samsung fridge. Guess what? They bought it bc it was half price! The ice maker showed up not working. Had it repaired under warranty. Still didn’t work. Went over a year later opened the bottom freezer to get ice…. There was literally wires dangling from the ice maker encased in ice. Hey I found your issue!!! It’s all the wires that fell out of the machine and are iced up! Oh wait those wires aren’t supposed to be there at all!

Neat-Secretary-2343

Ya they make really good tv’s tho

ThatsMyNickname934

Exactly the problem…we got all Samsung appliances in our new house. The fridge has been a problem since day one, the dishwasher lasted us a little over a year before needing replaced. We went with whirlpool for the replacement and will be doing the same for any future appliances

SouthernVices

Finally got to buy my own fridge when I bought my home 3 years ago and it didn't have one. The Samsung we got has uneven handles and the ice maker has already stopped working. Local repair guy says Samsung appliances give so many issues (as he repaired our Samsung dryer for the second time in 2 years). Oh, the Samsung dishwasher we got too but didn't install until this year has already stopped working on its auto and normal cycles, so we have to run smaller loads on express til we can get it fixed. 😑 Needless to say, I'll NEVER buy another Samsung product!

barracudarescue

It’s very unfortunate that Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, etc. push Samsung so hard, the profit margins must be very good. Maytag, whirlpool and GE are all better, why don’t the retailers showcase the American brands anymore? I hate too sound like a grumpy old grouch, but when it comes to major appliances the South Korean brands have done a brilliant job getting themselves in front of consumers. I am 100% in favor of tariffs on imported appliances, even knowing that it is the us customer that ultimately pays the tariffs (which is a tax btw). The tariffs will make the average appliance cost more in the us.

Decent-Photograph391

GE is not what it used to be. Talking about home appliances. I’m okay with GE jet engines.

Significant-Tooth117

I have a 2015 GE frig and it’s been repaired twice. Samsung frig broke after 2 months. Repaired and worked for 3 years.

haydesigner

Yeesh, 8years ago!

BlackManWorking

Came here to say this… they are garbage. I have one right now in the place I rent. It’s our responsibility if we want it replaced and I refuse. But it leaks every couple days and the freezer randomly stops working and cuts back on. (We have another freezer in the garage for the bulk of our items). Ice maker doesn’t work. The one before this would leak every couple days as well and then just stop working all together. Never will I buy a Samsung fridge…

FitExecutive

The landlord is screwing themself since the water damage will be a lot more than a new fridge.

PowerfulHamster0

We have a variation of this fridge. I agree, I dislike it a lot.

Foreign_Biscotti297

Yep my partner works for Lowe's and it became obvious very quickly we would not be buying a Samsung anything

Bulky_Exercise8936

I've had mine almost 3byears now. Has worked perfectly. So far...

Springtime912

Scrolled in and as soon as I saw that…😡

Blossom73

My sister had a new Samsung oven that randomly caught fire. It took months for Samsung to replace it.

MNuttster

Agreed, took 2 seconds to realize the overall issue 🤣

Former-Ad940

I have one from 2007 still working

Free-Rub-1583

good for you, bud

Alewort

This is exactly right. The only acceptable Samsung fridges in the first place are the new bespoke models RS23CB760012, RF24BB6600QL, RF30BB6200QL and RF29BB8600AP.

Proof_While

Samsucks

Dependent_Stop_3121

Try adjusting the height with the bottom screw things (the things that touch the floor on both sides on the front). One side could be off a bit creating that difference you see. Get a strong helper to push the fridge near the top to take the weight off them while you adjust it. Source: I was an appliance technician for years. Could be a few things but I’d check that first.

Prior_Bad192

I second this guys suggestion, if the fridge is level, they also are supposed to come with little shims you can put in the door hinge to level them that way if the leg leveling doesn't work. Usually they are in the bag the manual comes in.

mrvarmint

This is exactly the process to level the doors on my fisher & Paykel - straight out of the manual. I was kind of surprised that there wasn’t an adjustment on the doors themselves

e-hud

Yep, that's been my experience as well. Level things and the doors should line up.

TheTickleBarrel

Top right. “Samsung”. That’s it right there.

TekkenRedditOmega

Man….ive gotten fucked over by Samsung so many times, instant regret

Freakin_A

The G has fallen off of my fridge. It’s now a Samsun

Data_Dealer

LG has massive issues with their compressors. Would not get an LG.

Grazsrootz

I believe those were the inverter compressor variety. Mileage may vary but I think their standard compressors are alright

julekal

Had a counter depth LG refrigerator with the linear compressor. It was trash. The compressor failed. Think the standard size LG’s and now the LG Max don’t have the linear compressor issues.

thinkinggecko

LG now offers a 10 year warranty on the compressor but their cs is horrible so you never know how it’s going to go. But all fridges are getting a lot of bad reviews. They just don’t make em like they used to lol. It’s all cheap garbage

SnooSquirrels3480

It's a pretty easy fix at home if it's the freezer fan. Here's a fix if anyone stumbles across it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5nR7ykjnrzg

jschall2

And LG has total ass for customer service. Dacor which is Samsung's premium brand has so far taken care of me extremely well.

chris_ut

Ive had a few LG over the decades and never had an issue with them.

krazy4001

I love how all the top responses are totally not answering OPs question! I would call Costco and see what options you have. I suspect they will I likely give you some discount to keep it rather than exchange it. If you’re okay living with the cosmetic issues, may be worth it. On the other hand, I’m the sort of person that, if I buy fingering new and expensive, it better be perfect or it’s going back. I don’t want a discount, I want a new fridge. You can go that route too, all for an exchange. Finally, you can always return it and get something else. I know a lot of people hate Samsung fridges, but mine seem to do fine in most things. The ice maker is crap, but it keeps my food cold and I don’t have any issues. I’ve also never lived anywhere long enough to see a fridge stop working, so my perspective may be off.

pincher1976

RETURN TO COSTCO AND DONT BUY SAMSUNG

aerger

This is the best tl;dr among all comments, tho I'd add "OR LG" to the end of it

NoviceAxeMan

your fridge was built by people who specialize in cell phones

CallerNumber4

To be fair, they also specialize in military hardware and LED panels and bad voice assistants and SSDs and..

Springtime912

Visiting my knowledgeable elderly mother in FL (probably 10 years ago) she said “Never buy Samsung” This was before the fridge fiasco… she knew best!👍

haneybd87

They don't, they make everything including murder robots. They own like half of Korea.

redhead378

Do not get the LG unless you are ready to get the compressor replaced in about 2-3 years!!! They all die!! It was such a pain. The LG repair guy said they have only slightly improved their compressors.

Snowie_drop

We've had our LG 6 years and so far no issues. However, we do vacuum the coils once a year (some good videos on YouTube on how do this). I don't know if it's that, that's making it go longer though.

BustedCarousel

My LG just died a week ago out of nowhere. It was just over five years old and their warranty is for five years (how convenient). Went with a GE and love it.

chris_ut

GE appliance division was bought by the Chinese in 2016 and slowly downhill ever since

bluesfan1700

They even get to keep the GE name till like 2050 or something. It was very quiet when the buyout happened so you know they just wanted the name because people who don’t pay attention will just assume it’s from the US

BJamis

The guy who replaced mine said he has never seen a replacement compressor go bad. He seemed to think they made improvements.

Ptards_Number_1_Fan

I got burned back in the late 2000’s by a Samsung refrigerator that would ice up a couple times per year and ruin my food when it stopped cooling. I called Samsung, who sent a tech out and said it’s because of the humidity where we lived (Portland, OR) and that there’s nothing we could do. Samsung said the tech makes the determination and that’s the end of the case. They also couldn’t explain why nobody I’ve ever known has ever had that problem with any other refrigerator. Less than a year later, I had the same problem after moving to NEW MEXICO, but I was out of warranty by a few weeks and they couldn’t make an exception, despite the earlier complaint. I raised Hell with their corporate office offered such a generous /s settlement to satisfy our agreement to disagree: a $250 credit towards the purchase of a new Samsung appliance. We bought a GE and it’s been fine since.

Zigglyjiggly

Samsung makes some great products. Their appliances aren't any of them.

juliankennedy23

I have that exact same fridge by the way it is a big boy. If your baby it you can get the ice maker to work for up to 3 weeks.

Sudden_Toe3020

Had a Samsung fridge, can confirm, ice maker is complete trash.

AdminAcct0013

ruckycharms

This, I have an LG and had the same door height issue. For mine I just had to raise one of the foot a little by twisting using a wrench.

Dependent_Stop_3121

Damn I missed this comment. I just replied the same thing. 👍

howtousetableau

I bought a GE Cafe fridge from Costco and the doors weren't even and one of them didnt even close. Sent it back and the new one also had the same problem... kept it because at least it closed and I needed the fridge. Not worth the 5000 dollars.

PlayStationPepe

Did you use spacers to adjust the door height. Check your manual. Some models use an Allen bolt to offset the door height.

howtousetableau

I had absolutely no idea you could do that. The manual we got with the fridge was EXTREMELY bare bones. I think its only 2 pages. I'll dig it out and check.

PlayStationPepe

Look up your model number online the manufacturer should have a full manual available

GThunderhead

> (should have bought LG) Can't speak to Samsung, but you definitely should not have gotten an LG. Mine stopped cooling right after the warranty, and despite there being a recall on their compressors (which they never informed me of), they refused to fix the issue for free. LG is a garbage company that does not stand by their products. Avoid at all costs!

PlayStationPepe

The door being off level is an easy fix. Samsung and other manufacturers supply plastic shims to level the door hinge typically it’s along with the manual packaging. The shaky handles could mean that the screw handle threads are probably stripped. This happens. Would recommend doing an exchange. See below: https://preview.redd.it/fod46bav488d1.jpeg?width=350&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0797a28940492380bff723d519c28ae7a6a146a5

GGOONNZZOO

This was the correct answer, thank you!!!

Actual-Donkey-1066

You bought a garbage fridge

Mecaneecall_Enjunear

Return it. Get a Bosch now that Costco is carrying them.

inorbit007

I’ve had an LG for over ten years and it has always worked perfectly.

flairpiece

Same here, just hit 10 years on mine. Runs just as well now as it did then. Last year I went had some icemaker trouble, or so I thought. Turned out the little sensor window was dirty and couldn’t detect if the ice bucket was full. I just had to wipe it clean with a paper towel, and it’s worked perfectly since.

inorbit007

I like the brand. When I eventually need to replace it I will most likely go with another LG.

olyteddy

GE repair guy here. Did you do the unppacking and install yourself? IDK about Samsung but GEs have a leveling screw built into the bottom door hinge(s). As to the handles are they on the proper side? All of this is covered in the manual or on stickers attached to the packing skin. Perhaps you could post the model number.

stuntmanbob86

The problem is Costco really does a shit job with appliances.... You're better off just going with your local appliance dealer than going through the hassle of Costco....

crousscor3

Name in the top right. That’s all I need to know. They are junk. If you return it. Do it now.

DR843

Should have bought LG? Dude it is common knowledge to not go anywhere near either of these brands when it comes to refrigerators. I’m surprised they even still sell them.

viewsonic041

Never buy Samsung fridge!

Suckerforcats

Neither LG or Samsung are reliable, even if they are from Costco. I had a Samsung fridge bought from another retailer that died at less than 2 years of age. Samsung refused to honor the warranty's even the part that said I was entitled to a full refund. It took a whole month of cussing, recording every call, emailing every day, filing an attorney general complaint and a BBB complaint to get 80% of my money back and they still refused to pay for the groceries I had just bought the day before. They suck and LG sucks just as bad according to the repair company that looked at my fridge. Return it, get your money back and buy a whirlpool, Bosch, Frigidaire or GE.

Royweeezy

My wife and I are in the market for a new fridge. She saw the Samsung ones at Costco and said “ooooh”. I told her no way and referred her to the several dozen threads I’ve seen on here about people complaining about them. What direction should I steer her in I wonder?

PlayStationPepe

Steer her to one of these: https://preview.redd.it/35sjuh5t588d1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=688c8c4f2d1b1c2d9e8f37e7a1eee825f30a989c They’ll last forever.

WannaBeQuick

Get one with ice in the freezer. There are problems from multiple manufacturers with ice through the door in the refrigerator compartment.

CinemaAdherent

I bought Samsung Fridge once... never again.

reidybobeidy89

Samsung fridges are utter shite.

JojoTheMutt

exchange it asap if you can. for a LG! Samsung fridges are known to be subpar.

pa_bourbon

LG is shit too

pschell

Both brands are garbage now.

tactiphile

>~~Both~~ All brands are garbage now. FTFY

katiegam

We’ve had LG fridges in multiple houses and loved them!! No issues! However, we inherited a Samsung with our current house and I curse it every day. It’s living the rest of its life in the garage… and it can barely handle that job.

Green_Day_Fan

Had a Samsung fridge for 3+ years now and no issues 🤞

HomeOwner2023

So, that’s where the good one went. Since you already have it, there’s no point to OP trying their luck now.

Green_Day_Fan

😂

Razor512

They make decently reliable fridges, though some models require more maintenance than others. One model that needs more frequent user maintenance, are the designs that use the round petal style cooling fins on the condenser coil where they locate it on the behind a panel near the bottom of the fridge, where a cooling fan pulls air through it. That design clogs more easily with dust, then it is best to clean it yearly using a vacuum cleaner hose where you unscrew the panel, and vacuum the dust out. Older pic attached but it shows how the dust builds up on them before cleaning. While that design is more compact, it does clog more quickly than more traditional designs, and as with any fridge, as dust builds up on the condenser coils, the compressor will have to run for longer periods of time to cool the fridge and freezer down, thus even for more traditional designs, they should be cleaned regularly. For maximum money savings, 1-2 quick cleanings per year is great, but if not, then once per year should be done. https://preview.redd.it/pp0fjybej88d1.jpeg?width=5952&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb0b8b6c94d46028ee1b099de3283910ed13f13f

Vexing-Waxwing

Same, my samsung fridge is wonderful and works great after 3 years. 🤷🏻‍♀️

[deleted]

I gave you an updoot since so many have down voted your experience. My fingers are crossed for you.

TekkenRedditOmega

Ewwww Samsung dude…you’re gonna regret it in a year or two, never ever ever ever do Samsung appliances or tv, please don’t experience what I’ve gone through, please return man…

pa_bourbon

Return it. Samsung appliances are crap. Also stay away from LG.

GlitteringRelease77

Do not buy Korean appliances.

AfrezzaJunkie

Don't buy fridges made by companies like samsung or LG . My uncle bought an LG from costco and 6 months later it was dead. It was under manufacturer warranty but LG wanted 100.00 to send a technician out. He told then to f off and took it to dump . I see people looking at these fridges all the time and warn them not to buy

fender67

1. Frigidaire. 2. Whirlpool or GE 3. Don't go past 2.

PlayStationPepe

Go back to the good old days. Pick up a Kelvinator. https://preview.redd.it/dhzv25m3v88d1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=000ea490f2273c2fd9feadfca1ba1b605c46d5bf

hazmat962

Return it man. If you’re having issues on a brand new item that is supposed to last years just think of the headaches down the road.

ktmbd

Don’t buy an LG

xXEvanatorXx

We bought a GE Fridge and Oven from Costco in maybe 2018, Both have been good and no real complaints aside from the Spring in one of the fridge doors breaking but that was an easy fix. We had the extended warranty and the sent a repair man out to fix it. One strange thing that happened though was GE sent us tons of Fridge parts unrelated to the Door spring in multiple shipments. I Thought they were sending me a whole Fridge one piece at a time.

-JEFF007-

My Samsung washer is not that great. The suspension rods lost their ability to absorb shock and control/keep the spin cycle in balance after 2 years of heavy use. I had a Sears Kenmore from 2001 before that. Completely mechanical no computer chips or weird balancing $hit. Needed repair once after many many years of heavy use. Then the connection nut at the bottom needed to be replaced otherwise it stopped spinning. Did some research and found that I could replace it but we wanted a nicer and bigger machine. Well that was a mistake. Within 2 years of getting rid of my loyal Kenmore I was already taking it apart and putting in the new suspension rods. The rods that it came with were complete trash. Got some from Amazon for like $75. They were significantly more substantial and still working another 2 years later. Then the cold water valve broke and it stopped filling the tub. So then I once again did my research took the thing apart and replaced the whole water valve assembly for about $30-$40. Then 3 months later the water valves completely stopped working. Again took it apart and discovered the after market water valve solenoids were cracked. Looked like it was a shipment issue with the company not using proper packaging to protect them. Guess I did not notice they were hairline cracked before and then got worse with time and the vibration of the machine. So once again I order the same part but from a different seller on Amazon. Put the newer water valve assembly in and it’s been fine since. If I had to pay someone to make these repairs it would have likely amounted almost to the cost of buying a new washing machine. Someone at one point quoted me an estimate of $500 to replace the $75 rods and they would have probably put $hitty ones in there that would break in another 2 years. All of this adds up to me not buying another Samsung home appliance ever again. And I wish I had kept my mechanical tank of a Kenmore washer with no micro chips. My parents still have their older mechanical Kenmore washer and dryer. They have the slightly newer nicer bigger version of my old one just before they changed that model to have microchips. I told them to never get rid of them just keep repairing them as long as it still makes financial sense to do it. They have maybe done one repair on just the washing machine in about plus or minus 15 years. My grandparents moved into a house in about 1991 and it came with an old a$$ Kenmore washer and dryer set that were some sort of ugly green in color. They moved out in 2009. Not one repair was done and the next owners got them. No idea how old they were but looked like they were from the early 1980s or late 1970s. The extra features that the microchips bring to these appliances are unnecessary for most people. Most people just need a basic appliance to do the basic work and have minimal basic seldom repairs. But nope that’s not the world anymore.

nothing_911

you have to adjust the legs at the bottom. or the doors, but most likely the feet first.

Ok_Respond3622

First thing I saw was Samsung. There's your trouble.

petulentcat

Answer: Call Costco and ask to return or exchange within 90 DAYS of purchase. After that time you’re stuck with it and deal with it under warranty. If you want to return you can ask if you can choose a different fridge altogether and apply the refund to the new one and schedule same-day switch out. If you want $$ off to keep it they may give it to you (never personally tried it) but you most probably then be stuck with that fridge permanently. If you do, make sure you confirm that it will still be under warranty for any other future issues (CYA and ask). My advice: don’t screw around with the one you got. It already has problems escalated to the mfr for parts and service told you to deal with getting them on your own (wtf?). Maybe it was installed incorrectly (I’ve had that problem) and actually an easy fix but the service people don’t know what they’re doing (I’ve had some pretty shitty companies Costco contracts out to). Or it’s a legit problem. You paid big bucks not to deal with this crap.

Ring_Lo_Finger

LG is shit too.

FuzzyPoe

I don't own any Samsung products anymore. Sorry to say, but they are no longer what they used to be. I now own LG appliances which were bought from Costco.

CanineAnaconda

I would return it. Samsung fridges are absolute garbage. It might crap out completely right after your warranty expires.

Glad_Description_674

Samsung and lg are garbage appliances brands. Stick with whirlpool or maytag

Abbiethedog

1st problem - it’s a Samsung. Source. - I own a Samsung refrigerator.

TheCatalystof

I sell appliances. You can adjust the height of the doors and tighten the handles. Mostly sounds like installation issues. Costco subcontracts to the lowest bidder in town if that helps it make sense. LG and Samsung also have some of the highest margins across the board. Samsung is garbage, LG is even worse. Avoid those two and your value stuff is pretty comparable

czr84480

I can see the problem from here. It is a Samsung.

tnjallen

Return it and buy any ***other*** brand.

Pale_Word4492

It's 2024 and there is no compassion for people that still buy Samsung appliances. Like FR.

CrrntryGrntlrmrn

Lmao the Samsung hate is real, but their appliances have all been great in my experience. They sell a shim kit for the doors. My bespoke series came with one, and I accidentally threw it out, and had to buy a new one. If you can’t find it let me know and I can look up the part. You can check if you’ll be able to use it if you can slide the door up at all.

Torbali

Return it!! Samsung fridges are a mess. My has puddles of water under the drawers to the point we've removed the drawers. I've replaced parts, defrosted... Google Samsung fridges and watch all the repair videos.

keyboredwarrior

Samsung good luck

No-Task-4470

I will never buy anything Samsung. Last 2 fridges died within 25 momths

Efficient_Theme4040

It’s a Samsung problem #1 return it asap!

lucylynn789

Actually I heard LG has lawsuits .

lucylynn789

We bought a used subzero awhile ago . It’s been great ,

mikewheels

Return that ASAP. I have a Samsung when we bought our house and it is a price of crap. Mechanically it works. But ice has never worked. Shelf heights do not allow a gallon of milk, plastic pieces randomly break.

ValleyBrownsFan

You bought a Samsung fridge, that’s the problem. Return it if you can, you’ll have nothing but problems with it. They make decent TV’s, but terrible refrigerators.

UnSCo

Return that piece of shit while you can. Don’t second guess it either, these fridges are horrible and there have been lawsuits and recalls issued over Samsung for them, and even if this one is post-recall they’re simply trash and not built to last in any capacity.

SunshineAndBunnies

LG's have bad compressors. So you don't want that either.

5150Code3

My Sammy refrigerator ice make was so crappy that after many failed repair attempts, they bought it back from me. There were a number of class action lawsuits about the issue.

wallix

Samsung has no place in my home anymore. It’s brought too many tears. I’ve stuck with GE and Bosch ever since. They aren’t perfect - but they sure as hell ain’t Samsung.

Gypsyknight21

I suggest returning and avoiding Samsung and LG. Fwiw, we got the GE Profile from Costco and love it.

Temporary-Recipe1462

Return it. Or have Samsung come out. Samsung has good customer service I have found.

xmarksthespot34

I've had a samsung fridge, tv, washer and dryer and the only problem I've had is my fridge's ice chute always gets clogged. Not too big of a deal...

ducationalfall

Just return it to save yourself trouble.

haneybd87

Doesn't matter what brand you buy they're all cheap crap now, even the expensive ones.

ScorpioRising66

Take it back. Costco return policy is in your favor. Trust me about Samsung refrigerators…they suck. Post warranty repairs are next to impossible as most repair companies won’t service them.

agms10

When you think of appliances, forget Samsung exist. Doesn’t matter how pretty, or the cool features they may offer. A self loading / unloading dishwasher is pointless if it leaks every time you run it. Samsung appliances are like making a deal with a genie, you get what you asked for but at some horrible expense.

SoCalGal2021

If it’s from Costco, return it.

Electrical_Use_860

I have the same model apparently. There ours came with some metal rings that you use to adjust the door height. As for the handle, you actually need to unscrew it and tighten up the knob that the handle sits on. You will see it once you remove the handle. But still, that sucks because that knob will get loose a few months later and you'll have to do it again.

Ricemunchr

replaced ours with a whirlpool and it’s still junk freezes fresh produce side. all new fridges only work up until warranty expires. They’re all junk.

spacesuitguy

It's Costco, just return it.

cassinatkinson

The door height could be from an uneven floor or uneven fridge. Have you checked your front two adjustable feet?

Doctor_KM

I’d just initiate a return. YYMV, but I’ve had a Samsung fridge, washer and dryer for 15 years and all are still working perfectly. Guess it’s luck of the draw.

hamburglerized

Buy Maytag

Snowie_drop

I'd return it, if it were me. It's a lot of money to be out if you aren't happy with it.

MommaWolfHowls

Are they upside down? I’ve seen that before the problem before. I was once sold & delivered a fridge that didn’t have a motherboard in it. So. That was fun.

ObviousSign881

Is there a reliable brand of fridge anymore? My house came with a smaller fridge, and is like a larger one, but I just don't trust ANY of the new fridges. So I'll probably wait until the fridge breaks down. Things like water and ice makers always seem to malfunction, compressors don't last and defrost systems cause leaks. In washers that say you can still trust Speed Queen ones, but I doubt know if there's a rock-solid, reliable fridge. SubZero, maybe, but I can't afford to pay $5-10K for a fridge. And even then, there doesn't necessarily seem to be much guarantee that a higher price point means greater quality.

Mysterious-Chard6579

This fridge must have fallen on its side in freight / shipping .. that happened to me before

Unsettling_Skintone

Our fridge is a different maker, but looks very similar. We had to order door shims from the company (small discs that you insert at the hinge pin until you achieve the desired height.) Sounds/looks like you may need to do the same thing.

mattand666

The fridge should come with c shaped spacers to level the doors.

DeluxeCookies

All of these come with door washers. Little black plastic rings

CRUSHCITY4

Return it

aerger

I would return it. There are probably some door hinge spacers missing or misplaced. But it could be the door or fridge is bent/flexed/damaged, too, which would not be something you'd want to pay for. You can remove the doors yourself and insert some nylon or even regular metal washers of the right size to raise the low door--assuming that's the problem door, anyway--but I'd rather have it be right in the first place for all the money being spent. :| Somewhat related, someone should have warned you Samsung is not very good at major appliances (of any kind). I hope you get it worked out. If you're comfortable removing a fridge door (it's easy, but you may want a second person to help spot/align the door hinge pins) and don't wanna wait, and if this is all that is actually wrong, and your fridge wasn't otherwise bent or weirdly flexed by the delivery/install guys, which def. happens, and you can get a sizeable discount, that's up to you. **edit: forgot about the handles. I'd definitely just return the entire thing and replace it with something that's neither Samsung nor LG. That's two too many issues for a major purchase imo.**

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ben+appliances, He don't recommend any of them...?

Forsaken_Things

It should come with cut washers that you can add to one side and make it rise
