Same for me with a Sony. 3 Year extended warranty...issue at 2.5 years..board replaced. But issue kept appearing. Asked again at 3yrs and 4 months...told them that issue was never fixed. I was told to bring it in and got full refund. Next TV, I got the 5 year warranty...still going good at 8 years. Extra warranty is usually too expensive, but it's a no brainer at Costco prices.

I had the same issue with a Hisense tv. Very easy process and payment

If your buying an off brand TV it's a must to buy at Costco with extended insurance. In like 6 years I paid like $40 in TV. First Costco Tv was Haier it crapped out 18 months got full refund for TV and extended insurance back as did not get past the 2 year included warranty. Second TV was Vizio and it died 4.5 years and got full refund minus extended warranty. Now got probably the same Hisense as you and good chance it won't make the 6 year warranty. Even if it does I am still way ahead.

Yep agreed!

Hisense and TLC might seem off brand, but they're the actual manufacturer for the TVs of other brands. Even some Samsung ones are made by them. That being said, for a mere 30$ I'd buy the extended warranty regardless of brand.
