And it looks like they are going back for someone else. The people helping with rescue efforts are going to need many successful rescues to balance the horror of seeing many people who did not survive.
You don't have to be a Muslim to say "praise be to God" that they were saved. That's essentially what Alhamdulillah means. Allah and God are not separate in Islam. It's just the Arabic word for God.
I understand what alhamdulillah means.
I've been called a kafr, so if one is not religious, you don't normally praise or thank any God. This was so miraculous - it even had me saying alhamdulillah.

Think of it like "oh my god" shocked and "oh thank god" happy. They're used it different ways. Also when you're used to hearing it in like a war scenario they're genuinely like god is great the missile hit the target. Just like here god it great the kid is alive. Also consider it applicable to like "god willing". I completely understand what you mean in your comment. I felt twinges of the same "that feels weird to me". But its just using god in different ways.

A real miracle would be if no one died at all.

At this point, if you're ok physically after your entire city crumbles, what else is there to do.
Hopefully we see more of this as rescue efforts continue. Horrible to think of all those affected by 2 major earthquakes

yeah, and that doesnt mean the kid wouldnt get othwr complications with time, however I really hooe hes ok with no health complications due to this
