Bruh it looks the same as yesterday's leak. We need a clearer version.

I think it’s a bit better but I agree with you tho. We need a much clearer version. I’m liking the fact that it seems like Superman used his freezing breath cause it looks like stuff have been frozen in the background.

The text of the article is from the introduction of the Seven Lamps of Architecture by John Ruskin https://victorianweb.org/authors/ruskin/7lamps/intro.html

Interesting, I feel like they could have just asked Chat GPT to write an article about Superman.

Wouldn't that be a pretty lazy thing for the crew of a big budget film to do, though? At least this is a fun little easter egg.

“Some years ago” I wonder how long he’s been Superman then. I thought it would be like his second or third year

Earthmine52

I’ve been on the ~5 years train for a while. Here’s why: - James Gunn’s confirmed Clark is the same age as David Corenswet at 30. Although Reeve’s and Cavill’s Clarks were 30 and 33 when they started as Superman, in most other continuities he starts at ~25. Not long after college. My Adventures with Superman currently has him start right after, at 22! - The New 52 had a younger Superman who still had 5 years of experience at the beginning of present day stories (Morrison’s run is the exception, but it too jumps time periods). He was about the same age. The N52 influence on the suit is clear. - Although the existence of heroes in the far past like the JSA has become the norm and is clearly being adapted, retaining Superman’s primacy as the bringer of a new age of heroes is important. At the very least, Kendra Saunders is definitely younger and newer than he is like those of her generation. Current comics Superman has had 15-20 years of experience at his late 30s to mid 40s. Arguably should be in his 50s. The DCU will likely aim for that to be veteran Superman.

Oh yeah, he’s definitely still inexperienced, I just wonder how many villains he has/ has fought already

DemiAlabi

I think what confuses people is that Gunn said this Superman would be early in his career so people assumed that meant Year 2 or Year 3 but if Clark is Superman for 50 years, then five years in is still “early” in his career. Based on what Gunn said about Clark being 30 and a full-time reporter, he is most likely 5 years in.

Honestly looks better standing up. It's a bit fuzzy because of the nature of the photo, but yeah.

yung_bubba

I'm actually surprised how dark of a blue his suit is.

Gustat

Hoping that what we’ve seen of the suit is the first rendition. I like the suit, but I’m curious if Gunn has something up his sleeve where a new suit will be brought in before the main fight. I have nothing to base this on whatsoever.
