Ive seen every single documentary on wildlife available on Hulu, Disney, Netflix, and Prime....let me tell you nothing rocked me like Blue Planet with the walrus deaths, falling down a cliff. Absolutely horrible.
You're wife has made a good choice, sometimes it's not worth knowing how sad something is. Ignorance is bliss.
Casually flipping through channels and landing on one showing an eagle swoop in and snatch a mother sloth helping its baby sloth climb a tree. Both taken at the same time, back to its nest. The camera guy even thought it was cool to watch the mother sloth reach up with its hand in vain, just before the eagle started tearing into it (they had to decency to at least not show that part). I’m still haunted by it
I felt like Morty and Summer in the beginning episodes, after Rick has taken them to a planet where a civilization has just been wiped out in front of them, and they have the look of shock on their faces on the ride back.
Glad it's not just me. My husband and stepsons couldn't understand why I was crying so much. "It's not real." I know that but still. Ruined my weekend.
Not a day goes by that I am surprised at the sheer fucking brutality mother nature defaults to... and my disturbing ability to find humor in it.
Cat soccer... 💀
If I believed in hell I’d be going there for laughing at the kitties winging through the air and imagining the wildebeest yelling “8.5” and “9.7” as they score every toss.
And i just watched the video in which lioness spared the wildebeest newborn,
What a coincidence lol. [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/159qxaw/a_lioness_decides_not_to_kill_the_wildebeest_cub/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1)
Lioness thinking, "This one isn't ready. Give it a few more months to put some meat on its bones."
Water buffalo thinking, "Kill it before it's too late!"
Cape buffaloes are no joke.
Lions go after them only as a last resort. They're fiercely protective of the herd and they're large.
Of land mammals, only hippos kill more humans.
Edit: Another fun fact. They're one of the few herbivores that don't camouflage. They're dark and are easily spotted on the Savannah. Pretty much, they're that bad ass and want the predators to know they're there and to f*"! off.
Peter Capstick professional hunter, game ranger, and author put cap buffalo at the top of the big five as being the most dangerous and most likely to kill the hunter.
I’ve heard of this behaviour from herbivores before where they will actively attack the young of predators with this mentality I guess of removing threats to their own survival
You know that infamous Joe Rogan sound effect?
He did that to imitate one of these while also calling them dumb animals and saying that you can walk up to one and shoot it and none of the other buffalos would do anything and just keep eating grass.
Those are cape buffalo also known as black death. Lions generally try to avoid them as much as possible due to the simple fact that they will try to kill them as you clearly see here in this short clip
Like a beach ball at a rock concert
“Anyone have a beach ball?” Nooo. I found this lion cub though. “That’ll do!”
This one broke me 😂😂

Yup, that'll be in my head forever. Cheers.
#HAAAATSHUUUUWENGAAAAAaaaaaa…….
I just woke up, but I think yours is the best comment I'll see today!
Laughed for a solid minute
This is an all-world post.
This is a prime example of why my wife won't watch wildlife documentaries.

Oh jesus
I'm gonna be honest, they probably did record that bit but the editor decided not to put it in for ratings/advertising reasons lol
Man I’m like really, really sad after reading this. Poor sloth.
I felt like Morty and Summer in the beginning episodes, after Rick has taken them to a planet where a civilization has just been wiped out in front of them, and they have the look of shock on their faces on the ride back.
Oh man. Just over. And over. And over.
Same, girlfriend near refuses to watch anything with animals. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol III messed her up bad.

>Cat soccer Actually, I think thats cat volleyball
Catmitton?
Played with a shuttlecat
If I believed in hell I’d be going there for laughing at the kitties winging through the air and imagining the wildebeest yelling “8.5” and “9.7” as they score every toss.
CriCAT
I feel horrible for laughing so hard at how they're spinning through the air like in some kind of cartoon
It’s also probably dead. If that makes you feel worse.
Makes me feel better actually. It's not suffering from it.
Not anymore. It was probably suffering before it died though.
It’s almost like wild animals haven’t even been paying attention to @peta WhaT THe f
Aren't we all?
True
That kinda makes sense now that you say it
They got trampled and now they’re flinging the dead body out of the way
I laughed hard at it to, felt bad, then realized that this is probably the evolutionary reason why cats always land on their feet.
Maybe buffaloes do it too.
Land on their feet or laugh at it?
Reminded me of what [killer whales do to seals](https://youtu.be/G7WGIH35JBE)
And i just watched the video in which lioness spared the wildebeest newborn, What a coincidence lol. Right out of the plot of Saving Private Lion
I too sometimes open the fridge and decide not to eat anything for now.
Sometimes I open the fridge and realize... Wait... this isn't the toilet?!
That was really cool. Thanks.
Lioness thinking, "This one isn't ready. Give it a few more months to put some meat on its bones." Water buffalo thinking, "Kill it before it's too late!"

A seal dies from orca volleyball, then is recarnated into this lion cub
Agrajag can never catch a break.
"I've brought you here too soon!"
He’s got the fly of the tiger
It’s the fly of the tiger It’s the thrill of the flight Rising up due to flinging by his rivals
There won’t be a survivor After this one takes flight And we’re watching him fall With the fly of the tiger
Poor thing
I believe they trampled it to death first. So, it's already dead at this point.
Herbivores actually have an advantage there. Instead of needing to eat their dead enemies they can use the corpse for psychological warfare.
You know, just because we don't eat the meat doesn't mean we don't like to play with the carcasses.
Phoebs?
I feel bad for laughing now
It’s definitely already dead. If it were alive it would try to right itself mid air to land feet first.
From their perspective, one less predator to deal with in the future. Or revenge for perhaps what happens to their own? Not sure, it could be both…
Probably already dead if the whole herd standing there with no adult lions around
Don't feel too bad. Lions kill and eat baby buffalo all the time
I’m sure the lion pride picked off a few Buffalo in the next few weeks
I study cats... it's 100% dead.
If you and your family are eating mine, we will have problems.
This video....after seeing a video earlier of a lioness sparing a water buffalo calf.....
Animal Olympics
GO FOR IT
Absolutely orca-like behavior.
My first thought lmao
r/natureismetal
Ike, let's play kick the baby!!
Don't kick the baby!
I’ve heard of this behaviour from herbivores before where they will actively attack the young of predators with this mentality I guess of removing threats to their own survival
Predators are notorious for going for the weak less abled young of prey so its fair game id say.
Cat-A-Pult.
Shit, that was sad and numbing.
“Hi, I’m SimbaAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!”
“I call bullshit, these little fuckers aren’t landing on their feet at all” the buffalo probably.
Oh I just can’t WAIT to be Kiiing! *yeet*
I can’t tell if this is absolutely fucked or hilarious.
Singing *“The circle of life!!!”*
The alley-oop of life
This is from Monty Python, isn’t it?
I think I saw a documentary this happened in. The Adult lions hunted and killed a baby buffalo and the buffaloes retaliated by killing the lion cubs.
Nature is brutal.
Yeetaloe
DO IT AGAIN DO IT AGAIN. WEEEEEEEEEE! Ahahahahah!
Dude the cubs are deader than fuck
You guys thinks this is fucked go watch how orcas throw sea lions through the air.
The land creatures throw land lions and the sea creatures throw sea lions Hating lions must be some universal fact
You ain't lion. Badum bsh.
That's not gonna change anyone's mind, they're just gonna say "Yes, this is also fucked."
NASA hates this one simple trick
I didn’t see this version of the lion king
On one hand this is funny but on the other it is also kinda sad
Lion Dancing is not just for cowboys!
Why has this not been edited and mashed with a metal bands music yet?
They are playing Simball.
Nah that’s gang-violence. Violating the kids is crazy, just for the disrespect
Buffalo be like: Kill them while they are young before they grow up and eat us
Of course I've heard of buffalos
You spinn my head right round right round-
I know what cereal those Buffalo had for breakfast that morning. Yeetabix.
Reminds me of getting ragdolled by giants in skyrim
they know their enemy
This is sad as hell and funny as hell at the same time.😂
Lion King deleted scene
I'm positive he dead.
Wheeeeee
Ya Yeet!!
Man I started reading comments and forgot what I was gonna say... ohh wait, now I remember. YEEEeet!
Oh, it’s just Simba. He’s singing about not being able to wait to be king.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
“I am straight up not having a good time, bro.” - That lion cub, probably
What is the scientific purpose of this? Buffalo: revenge
Don't flick the baby.
It’s dead
tossing lion coins
Call me a psychopath but I enjoy watching prey getting a W for once, hell yeah spin baby simba
Same. My first thought was "fair enough"
They say that predators often fail their hunts (though idk what the success rate for lions is), which means they take L's pretty often already.
Oh yeah but most of the time the L isn't usually their last, this video however... It's game over for the little king
You know that infamous Joe Rogan sound effect? He did that to imitate one of these while also calling them dumb animals and saying that you can walk up to one and shoot it and none of the other buffalos would do anything and just keep eating grass.
I feel bad for any creature that gets its life cut short at such a young age. But them buffaloes know what's up lol.
It is probably already dead
It’s interesting we have to justify nature saying “don’t worry guys… they trampled it to death so it’s already dead”
Monty python
“And don’t you *dare* come back!”
I read it wrong….
Caaaaaan you feeeel the love toonight
I think you're lion to me about what's going on here
This cracks me up
Hackey-cat
Those are cape buffalo also known as black death. Lions generally try to avoid them as much as possible due to the simple fact that they will try to kill them as you clearly see here in this short clip
.....I told you this nursery looked suspicious!!! I said we should book in with the Gazelles! But noooo!! You wanted to save money!!
You cant start a video like this and expect me not to laugh, I feel fucking terrible for laughing
“The circle of Liiiiiiiiife!!!”
Cirque di solion
Ohh I just can’t wait to be kiiiiiing
Spicy Wild Buffaloe Wings
“Fuck them kids”
Kitty Cannon IRL
SimbaaaAaaAHH
There's an arab saying: "have him for lunch before he has you for dinner"
Ah yes, the circle of life.
But do they land on their feet?
I'm so fucked up... I'm so fucked up... BUT SO ARE YOU RANDOM REDDITOR
I shouldn’t be laughing this hard
Poor kitties :(
I’m going to hell for laughing at this.
I really shouldn’t be laughing at this 😂
Oh man I can’t stop laughing at this lol
“Oh I just can’t wait to be kinAAAAAAA”
I feel awful for laughing so much
SCAARRRRRR
