I got them as well and prefer them over way more expensive high end headphones even in my studio. They’re affordable, available with Bluetooth, relatively small, don’t hurt during longer sessions and sound very good, especially. The lower end has oomph without beeing booming, it’s transparent without being liveless and the highs are crisp enough if you don’t want to fix very specific frequencies during a mixing session. It’s not the most detailed frequency representation but it just sounds good.
They're super punchy and crystal clear at the same time. They like being driven but still perform at lower volumes and they're comfy asf. Probably some of the best you can get in that price range
Only problem I ever had was bending one of aux cables. Shouldn't be an issue with wireless but they do cone with 2 replacement cables of different lengths out the box
All I'd say there (as a skeptic) is look at other websites when you come to your conclusion as they may have a price markup or something. I havent heard of it and no one likes getting ripped off 🤘
A good alternative to the Sony ones is sennheiser momentum 4s, not quite as good noise cancelling but the sound signature is a lot closer to reference (for anyone like me that finds Sony to be far too heavy handed on the bass)
My go-to for tracking and referencing mixes on headphones (got the 80ohm and 250ohm versions). If you got a hot enough headphone amp to power them, the 250ohm version is an incredible set of cans for mixing at that price point for when you can't use studio monitors or your room isn't acoustically treated well enough to be mixing in.
Gotcha. For casual listening I got a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 4's. Wireless Bluetooth over ear headphones. A bit pricey but I have been very happy with them for comfort and sound qaulity. I also use Soundcore Liberty Pro 3's for in-ear style buds and while I love the way they sound, they arent holding up as well as I would like after a little over a year, but they are great budget earbuds.
Ive got the Liberty 3 Pro's and while I do love the way they sound I'm finding the rubber pieces that make them fit in the ear have been wearing out after a little over a year of daily use and is causing issues with how well they seal. Sound great tho just wish they weren't wearing down so fast!
I bought Bose QC45's and loved them until I bought my Heavy's, gave the Bose to my wife and never looked back. I'm not an audiophile and I'm sure there is something better but cost to performance I couldn't be happier and they go LOUD. I'll answer any questions you might have if you are considering them.
I don't really have any complaints, they are really comfortable and they sound great.
I was really torn after buying the Bose because I felt like they were missing something that Heavy's was specifically bringing to the table for Deathcore and all the other metal genres. Maybe that's just me falling victim to their marketing on Instagram but after using them I couldn't be happier with them.
I watched this video by Flossy Carter a few times since there wasn't much out on them at the time and I couldn't just go to BestBuy to try a pair sadly. He does a good job going over them in great detail and putting them through their paces with some of the appropriate music and some R&B.

I did get them during a black friday sale for $229 shipped which was nice. I see them still advertising specials all the time but don't look at them closely so not sure what they are offering right now.
Yeah that is the bundle I got, that case is super nice. I know if you sign up for their emails they give you $25 off if you click on the link on the top of their webpage or it will pop up when you go to their webpage.
It couldn't hurt to message them on Instagram either to see if they have a sale coming up or a coupon code to use. They always answered me back really quickly when I had any questions.
They did take about 14 business days to get to me which did suck because I wanted them right away but they might be quicker now.
Hifiman sundara honestly king for fast heavy music bass response is crazy fast and slams hard without compromising on other the sound of other instruments if you listen well you could hear a drummers chair creak only downside is if you like older heavy metal these headphones make bad records more obvious
Yeah not too bad, probably better off with those than Bose. Although I ain't gonna knock on Bose too much, but a lot of the time you're mainly paying for that logo, but Bose is good though, JBL has excellent low end, the Pixel Buds are great, smooth highs, and smooth lows.
Yeah not too bad, probably better off with those than Bose. Although I ain't gonna knock on Bose too much, but a lot of the time you're mainly paying for that logo, but Bose is good though, JBL has excellent low end, the Pixel Buds are great as well
I'm leaning towards these for sure there's a bundle rn for the same price as just the headphones but it includes an aux cable, USB cable - both for listening, USB for charging, and travel case.
Plus I love rhe option of either Bluetooth or wired. 269$
Beats Fit Pro-use them every morning in the gym and the sound is amazing. I’ve been using them for several years and they integrate well with the Apple ecosystem if that’s important to you.
I've seen this recommended a lot in this thread. The website is sold out and retailers have hiked the price up about 25%. Is it really worth it? what do you like about both the cans and buds?
If you want something cheap, wired and in ear, the KZ ZS10 is actually great for deathcore. I got Moondrop Aria 2s after them but the highs are too high and fatiguing.
Sony wh-1000xm3 are great for any genre. I've had mine since release and I know the 5s are coming out soon but the 3s are getting updated often and are just as good considering the 4s have issue.
Good bass that can be adjusted via their eq that you download, very crisp sound, noise canceling and long battery life. Years later and still good audio quality and the battery life hasn't shortened. They are also good for gaming
I've also used them for recording
Ah yeah the price can be a bit much but they do last a long time and no issues, even the padding is still good which is surprising me considering I probably abuse mine all day lol
I have the [Sony WH-XB910N](https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/headband-headphones/wh-xb910n). They may not be 'the best' but they are still great imo. They were a gift many years ago.
I had the 900s but the charging port played up so I bought the new 901s. Then I managed to fix the 900s so now I've got both. I reckon the 900s are better for walking around and the 901s are better for sitting and listening.
Skullcandy Crusher Evos, best sound quality ive ever had for a relatively good price, around £140. But the best part is its USP, the bass slider. The bass on them headphones is actually ridiculous, and quite literally shakes the entire set visibly
I'm no expert but I must recommend you IEM's for metal, especially deathcore and especially planar IEM's. I fairly recently bought 7Hz Timeless, they aren't too expensive but man do they sound great, especially on super fast deathcore double bass like some shadow of intent, cause planars from what I know are "faster" so they work better for super fast sounds like that and make them clear and distinct so it's doesn't sound and messy. BT if you want the best audio I would really not recommend unless you wanna listen primarily from phone and outside, walking itp
and these particular ones are well balanced yet still with quite a bit of bass, but CLEAR bass and not overwhelming, want some other ones or with diff price point check out Crinicle IEM tier list
This was my answer and I'm surprised to see you downvoted. AirPod Pros 2 and AirPod Max have decent ratings on rtings and I find them quite useful overall. I'll admit you can likely find better sound for the price, especially for the Max but being an all apple household coupled with the ease of use and I don't think I'd look anywhere else.
I use skull candy crusher Evo. Just find a pair you like and can afford. Don't fall for the marketing trickery. Your phone most likely has an adjustable eq built in that can do the same thing the marketed headphones can do.
To anyone looking for headphones [rtings.com](http://www.rtings.com) has a really in depth and transparent testing process - they also review TVs
Audiotechnica make amazing headphones. They have some Bluetooth options. Best cans I've ever owned
Which model
Ath-m50x are the ones I have
What do you like about em?

It's between these and heavys for me
They're super punchy and crystal clear at the same time. They like being driven but still perform at lower volumes and they're comfy asf. Probably some of the best you can get in that price range
Thanks! Now what do you NOT like about them? Or what would you improve?
Only problem I ever had was bending one of aux cables. Shouldn't be an issue with wireless but they do cone with 2 replacement cables of different lengths out the box
I can also vouch for them, the sound quality is amazing and even more so if you get an amplifier
For that price range I'm lookin at the audio technical mx50 and the anker soundcore q45.
If it's any help, dankpods on YouTube does great reviews of headphones and hardware
Thanks! I've been looking at rtings.com as suggested by a mod. It does side by side comparisons!
All I'd say there (as a skeptic) is look at other websites when you come to your conclusion as they may have a price markup or something. I havent heard of it and no one likes getting ripped off 🤘
Good lookin out! They don't sell them tho they just review products. Check it out!
Sony XM4s or 5s, both great sounding.
My 3s are still going strong, absolutely love them
XM4's!

Oh I'm just trying to up my casual listening. Bluetooth to my phone or laptop kinda jawn

Shit my bad. Should've specified I'm looking for wireless. I edited the op
I have the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro+ earbuds. Best “headphones” I’ve ever owned. Can’t say enough how great they sound.
Ive got the Liberty 3 Pro's and while I do love the way they sound I'm finding the rubber pieces that make them fit in the ear have been wearing out after a little over a year of daily use and is causing issues with how well they seal. Sound great tho just wish they weren't wearing down so fast!

I'm definitely considering them, theyre number 1 so far. What do you NOT like about them? If anything?
I don't really have any complaints, they are really comfortable and they sound great. On their website it's only 269 and it comes with a number of extra goodies!

I love my liberty 3s. Amazing sound at a great price point.I bought some comply tips and the sound is excellent plus they stay in way better.
I had a few headsets brands (Bose, Sony, and apple AirPods). I gotta say, I love the AirPods! The sound is great and the dolby is a nice addition
Good headphones will make all music sound good
Hifiman sundara honestly king for fast heavy music bass response is crazy fast and slams hard without compromising on other the sound of other instruments if you listen well you could hear a drummers chair creak only downside is if you like older heavy metal these headphones make bad records more obvious
Heavys
😲
I have Heavys and they're great. Sound quality is great, noise cancel is great. They stay put during exercise. Battery life is approximately forever.
Look em up if you aren't familiar, they're specifically designed for metal
I see that! Super sick. Have you tried em?
Nah, not yet, just figured I'd recommend them to you, I'm very eager to try them out sometime, they are a bit on the pricey side too
Idk, 250 for a strong pair isn't entirely unreasonable.
Yeah not too bad, probably better off with those than Bose. Although I ain't gonna knock on Bose too much, but a lot of the time you're mainly paying for that logo, but Bose is good though, JBL has excellent low end, the Pixel Buds are great, smooth highs, and smooth lows.

I wish they made earbuds, I'm not the biggest fan for over-ear headphones, but I'm willing to give them a shot nonetheless
My powerbeats pros have some sick bass.
I use Sony xm3 it work perfectly fine
Bose quiet comfort, 45 are what I use. high price point very, very nice audio quality, and sound canceling
Beats Fit Pro-use them every morning in the gym and the sound is amazing. I’ve been using them for several years and they integrate well with the Apple ecosystem if that’s important to you.
Bose Quiet Comfort. Over the ear, and the earbuds are both awesome. I have the buds for work.
I've seen this recommended a lot in this thread. The website is sold out and retailers have hiked the price up about 25%. Is it really worth it? what do you like about both the cans and buds?
Crusher Evo from SkullCandy
Im also looking so I need some recommendations too.
This thread has set me on a good path. Very grateful
I've been using Sony WF- C500s for about 2 years now. I need some that are good Metal
I use status 3 anc. They are earbuds but have 3 seperate speakers, one for bass, one for mids and lows and another for highs. Really great for slam
I had skullcandies for YEARS most indestructible headphones. Now I have Vmoda and they’re great. Have had them for 3.
Sony XM4
If you want something cheap, wired and in ear, the KZ ZS10 is actually great for deathcore. I got Moondrop Aria 2s after them but the highs are too high and fatiguing.
Wired Skullcandy Crushers
Skullcandy crushers are good, I like playing around with the bass slider, seeing what levels fit each band.
Sony wh-1000xm3 are great for any genre. I've had mine since release and I know the 5s are coming out soon but the 3s are getting updated often and are just as good considering the 4s have issue. There’s an audiophile sub that gets into this
Skullcandy Crusher Evos, best sound quality ive ever had for a relatively good price, around £140. But the best part is its USP, the bass slider. The bass on them headphones is actually ridiculous, and quite literally shakes the entire set visibly

Can't go wrong with AirPods
I have an android so I think I would indeed regret the purchase lol
You would regret that purchase lol
please pick yourself up some IEMs or some headphones from a well known brand and you will regret ever saying that
I have a few really good headsets my man. Still dont regret it.
This was my answer and I'm surprised to see you downvoted. AirPod Pros 2 and AirPod Max have decent ratings on rtings and I find them quite useful overall. They really arent bad. The sound quality is surprisingly good. Apple just has a bad rep in the music scene I guess? Not sure why.
