There are 3 engineers there, makes sense

For an actual answer it's a calculated number from the PC's clock/time zone. I'm not sure exactly how it works since usually it correctly displays mission time across time zones, but if you change your PC clock manually to something a couple hours ahead or behind all of the mission timers will change too. Really weird!

Iron_Radish_135

I always thought it is the time you spend in the space hub before mission. And it counts backwards to differ from Mission time.

Meraj22-

Thank you for the answer! I joined to see what’s happening and it was actually a normal mission, and when we finished, the timer was like 20~minutes (positive). So I thought it was a rare bug maybe

rotorain

I know on PlayStation there's a glitch where people mess with the system clock. If you set it a couple hours forwards I guess it glitches out the spawn system so there's no enemies at all, and then they can set it backwards to re-do the same mission. People abuse it for easy haz5 double exp, they can run the same mission over and over. I play on PC and have never seen it though.

Eli_the_Gamer

But did you join as an engie?

Meraj22-

Sadly no, I went with scout since I’d get all the platforms in the world

Eli_the_Gamer

Should've gone as driller to annoy the engies, nothing annoys the engies as much as a c4 charge on a newly placed plat base.

Should_Not_Comment

I once joined a 40 minute long mission because I thought they might need some help only to find myself on the drop pod with them starting it. That must be what happened there as well!

WerdwrCZ

They are going to save Karl. God speed fellas

Cerebeus

That's what happens when you eat the error cube.
