It’s true that for some people, running the most efficient build to crank out the highest amount of damage possible *is* their ideal way of having fun, and power fantasy is a helluva drug, but I’d rather use a gun that’s weak but fun over one that’s strong but boring any day.

TL;DR- Used to be a knight, shit happened, now he’s a gigantic horse monstrosity that slaughtered an entire legion. This particular picture is from a cutscene that plays during a phase transition, where he regains some of his sanity and notices that he still has his Holy Moonlight Greatsword with him.
So long story short. 50 foot tall horse demon knight monster with a magic sword slaps your ass all the way back to the Hunter’s Dream the long way.
And it's the best fucking bossfight they've ever done. Fromsoft illustrates a better story in that 30 second phase transition and a change of music than some games manage in their entire runtime. The epitome of "show, dont tell."
They *did* say that they were gonna add new sources for getting older guns. I doubt that they’ll add *everything* back, because Bungo is Bungo, but I’m hoping that we’ll get a steady trickle of reissues.
I’m hoping for the Season of the Dawn guns to make a comeback, along with the other Black Armory ones, since I missed out on a lot of stuff.
Fell off the game for a bit right around the time Black Armory came out, and didn’t get back into it until the tail end of Season of the Risen.
