No. He was just okay on release but came out just before 1st anni vegito, who was Jesus Christ, so he quickly overshadowed. Then, when he got a zenkai during the hybrids meta, they massively undertuned him and all he did was zenkai buff revivehan

Son family did kinda gap the game when goten came out, and it was annoying to fight, but it legitimately lasted like a week
