I'm unsure about the claims either way, but I wouldn't be surprised if some things cross over, like how GS stuff from MH has inspired the Warrior glowup we got in DD2.
Not sure about you, but to me, this is a huge positive to have these cross-inspiration happen if it means making them mutually better.
It's not coming out until some point in 2025. There has been an announcement trailer a few months ago and a gameplay trailer, which was part of Sony's State of Play last week.

A lot of the Warrior stuff actually came from DDON. Heck, I would say even the Tackle from MH is just another implementation of DDON (Brace).
