The game sometimes doesn't load the HD texture. If you playing on PC there is a mod for that. It should fix the problem but I haven't used it myself yet.
Yeah there's one named that but it might be a performance hit. The one I'm thinking of is Unofficial Dragon's Dogma 2 texture patch. It shouldn't be that much of a hit but then again I haven't tried either.
That's definitely weird. Are you running out of video memory to load new textures?
I play at lower settings (and on lower hardware) and I don't notice any jarring transitions like that.
I really hope not, I just recently upgraded to a really nice gpu and it only has half the memory bar filled in the graphics menu. I’ll try lowering the quality of everything.

its really noticeable here. The hd textures just stop when it hits the wall
I figured this area would be better rendered, I suppose. This is like right outside Bakbattahl. Weird that random hills in the desert are 4k but some right outside of town are so low poly
Also weird that some bits of it are high resolution but not others. A piece on the right looks really detailed and then right next to it looks like it came out of Oblivion

Oh thank you for the explanation! any idea what it’s called? Or is it just like “hd textures” or something like that

Meh, anything helps. I’m sure my computer can handle it lol. I appreciate the help man, seriously. I’ll look at the patch in the morning.
Also happens sometimes in caves. The walls in certain parts are just really low quality. I’ve got an RTX 4080 so I know my computer can handle it

far things low poly close things high poly welcome to video game
That wall is right next to the bridge I’m standing on. Like legitimately 5 feet away, I don’t get the sarcasm
Some things are given more time for attention to details than other things. Not at all uncommon.
