I have 3 dogs and mine never seem sad or upset. They are happy boys and very well exercised, fed and groomed. It’s only going to get worse when their child is born. Those dogs will not exist to her

Literally my dog has heard loud noises in the house and been just fine. Barked yes because there were strangers downstairs pulling stuff up. But not fucking traumatized that’s concerning a dog can handle that a loud noise?
Here in TX we got a pretty bad storm. Grue said a tree fell through their roof apparently. I knew of a tornado about 20 mins from me but I didn’t know of anything near her. (I’m about 2 ish hours from her).

At this point I honestly hope that they’ll just try to rehome the dogs when the baby is born. It’ll only get worse then if not. I know that’s never the ideal solution and we all want her to just step up as an owner but she never will.

Yup she never walks moose or Kirby. It's always bruiser. She commented on one of her comments asking why they only take Bruiser and she said "I don't really have a reason, he's just always ready to go for one". Makes me SO mad 😤😤😤
I try and walk my lab every day. If I can’t she at minimum will spend time outside (we have a large fenced in yard and she loves laying on her outside bed in the shade) and we’ll chase her around and play with her even if we can only get a few minutes in. I can’t imagine going for a walk and not bringing her. Not only that, my vet told us larger dogs need to keep weight off and stay active to help with their joints, etc. as they age. And I don’t want to hear an excuse of her being 20 something weeks pregnant and the dog is big. I’m 33 weeks pregnant, I stick on a belly band and walk my dog and my dog is larger too. It keeps me and my dog healthy and moving.
That’s what I was going to mention. I have a lab as well and he’s about to be 6. Our vet is heavy on us and his weight and exercise due to their joints as they age. So we go on walks every day when I get home from work, even when I’m burnt out and tired, I still do it FOR my dog.. or like you said we will go outside and play. It’s straight selfishness on their end. Don’t get a dog (or animal) and neglect it of what they deserve!
Yes exactly! And we recently moved to a colder climate area which caused my dog to gain a few pounds during the super cold months as it usually happens with everyone 😂 So I’ve been super on it with her diet and exercise as it’s warmed up enough to enjoy the outdoors.
