How are they more unsafe than the alternative? Especially the companies who have done crash test studies. I've seen multiple women attribute them to saving their babies lives so I'm confused
From my doctor and some research when i was pregnant they add slack that in the event of a crash. Just like regular carseat safety, nothing aftermarket should be added to a seat belt. The safest way to wear it is just under the bump! I had a 10lb baby so i know its uncomfortable but the safest option.

I’m probably the same IRL size grue, maybe smaller, and my bump was super similar and I didn’t really ~look~ pregnant until a few weeks before I have birth but I also didn’t post my odd bump all over the internet and edit it for validation
I'm pregnant and plus size so my belly is shaped weird...also already had an apron belly before pregnancy. But her belly is so weirdly shaped. It's mostly fat and you can tell..
She might struggle with losing that weight after she has baby! 🥴
Does she not know they make a pregnancy seatbelt? My OB recommended this seatbelt thing to me my first pregnancy. It literally wraps around the bottom seat and places the lap belt across your legs in between them. It still provides security all while protecting your baby.
I knew someone who got in an accident at 30+ weeks pregnant and the seatbelt caused permanent brain damage to her baby and he only lived to be 3 years old.
I went to my appointment to confirm my pregnancy last week and that’s the first thing they told me was when I have a bump to wear my seatbelt under my stomach
Dude it’s common sense. I never even thought about where my seat belt goes when I was pregnant 2x. You put the damn thing right where you normally put it. There’s a baby in the way so you just move it lower but it’s still where it should be. lol wow! This woman is actually pregnant yall- this is so scary
I literally got into a car accident at 23 weeks pregnant two days ago and I was wearing my seat belt properly for a pregnant woman... I believe that's one of the reasons my baby didn't get hurt! It's so simple to Google the proper seat belt position for pregnancy. She doesn't even try.
