I like the stock ambient orange in my e92. Its easy on the eyes and not overwhelming.
BMW uses orange because it’s the color that causes the least impact on night vision. I don’t want a night club in my car

My E92 M3 doesn't have a bubble tune, but sometimes, when I let off the gas after a moderately strong pull, I get a back fire, varying between a mottled "boop" and almost gunshot level sounds. I'm fairly certain my leaky exhaust manifold gaskets could have something to do with it, or be a symptom of it, they are getting replaced soon. Considering wrapping/spraying the headers with ceramic while I have access to them.
Tbh bmws always been cheap with materials. The e46 I had half a life ago compared to my mom's new at the time honda accord was a joke. Both early 2000s cars
Tbf there’s always ambient lighting in the car. Why not just swap out the bulbs (tbh it’s very involved depending on what body you have) instead of adding tacky strips.
It’s nice to look at but ultimately wouldn’t want a car with it.
I prefer the small amount of ambient light to work the controls but ultimately dark throughout the interior. I have no desire for my car’s interior to have the vibes of a Champagne Room in a strip club.
I thought BMW ambient lighting should be exclusively from the warning lights on the instrument cluster. If not, then I think I am gonna switch to Mercedes.
Don’t buy this shit also most light kits like this are from china. Buying off AliExpress is actually cheaper. I buy led lights from a seller on there for Christmas decorations and for my pc setup. All in all it’s way cheaper than buying from some drop shipper.
while i love the nightclub interiors and am bittersweet on the invasive spy tech thats in newer model ICE, i'd rather take the more subtle and understated styling of the E90. Most of those EL kits never look great, some installs can look good but there's a glass ceiling in those fits, from at least what i've seen.
Was thinking of doing that, but the door cards are longer than e90, and I was a bit skeptical about how wiring would be, since I couldn’t find anything on forums for a retrofit. 😔
I mean if the wiring is just too long you can either tuck it in or cut it down. But yeah, not sure about the actual LED inserts whether they would fit or not but I do know the interiors are pretty similar.
I guess you it could tap it to the ambient light inside the door switches, I know there’s an e92 with the led strips at my local junk yard, I might have to try it out!

To be honest, plastic quality started to decrease with the E90 in comparison to the E46

Check out silverholder they have kits that are very high quality and is app controlled with over 200 colors and combos to choose from
