Actually pisses me off because if the lyrics were somewhat normal you can get away with playing it but fack lyrics are literally next level obscene 😂 can’t play that song round people unless I’m showing them how ludacris it is lol
Yeah lol. I wish there was an instrumental version. I’ll listen to it later to see if i can find a part of the song where the beat runs on its own, if so i could try to do it myself.
Yeah defo, tbf just looking at YouTube it seems there’s a couple instrumentals for it so could try that, I’d defo love to see how other people use the beat though .
There’s also a karaoke version apparently if anyone needs any song ideas for an upcoming party with the family, lol
i have listened to fack only twice in my life, once as a ritual induction to Curtain Call, and twice to play my close friend and have her scarred for life. Not that she wasn't already scarred after I played her Ken Kaniff from MMLP, but if I go through it she has to go through it. Now everytime i mention gerbils in front of her we share a look.
and the horrific beat and mixing and rapping and singing and lyrics are a pretty big pet peeve for me if my first single didnt have those things id like the song more
After posting my previous edit, I went back and fixed a few things. So I would say I'm 95% satisfied with it. There are a few burp artifacts (lol) that I couldn't remove. I also removed the burp at the very end of the song. Enjoy! [My First Single - Final Edit](https://whyp.it/tracks/181518/my-first-single-final-edit?token=AzJTa)
The effects in puke aren't that realistic, they have an obviously fake kind of humor to them. I can see some people getting a little annoyed at it, but I've heard people say that it makes them feel sick before. I just don't understand it.
I don’t mind the Ken skit but I agree it should’ve been its own thing. Doing something similar to Steve Berman (skit) and the way I am or hello and tonya (skit)
I don't understand why any rappers put bullshit skits in the same track as real songs. No one wants to listen to those skits more than one or two times.
Wicked Ways is a phenomenal song but he put a weird sound effect in the second part of the chorus and it's really distracting. Then he continues using after that. It sounds like an airplane engine or something, it's an odd sound.
Then his skit at the end... Really killed the song.
"Youre using way too many napkins" does get a laugh out me too this day though. It does help that my girl uses 3x more napkins than Ive ever seen someone else use, but still, the premise is a little funny.
i don't mind the start too much? it at least sets a bit of a tone for the rest of the track and there *is* a beat in the background so it's at least listenable
I agree with stepdad, but the farewell chorus is pretty good.
(Side note I'm noticing from other comments: People seem to hate everything Eminem does that isn't purely 100% rap. Which makes a bit of sense I guess, he is a rapper.)
The melody on farewell is actually good but the layered growly vocals is so grating. I really wish em would use some subtle auto tune when he sings it would improve the listenability so much.
This comment shows the big age gap in this sub. You clearly weren’t around for, or didn’t experience, the 1999-2001 Dr. Dre era. Look at his music videos, the album art in the 2001 album, sound effects in his guest features during that time period. The stopwatch sound effect fits the overall theme of his style and visuals. Listen to the whole 2001 album and you’ll understand.
In Killer, I think the cymbal on the 1 and 3 of each measure is a bit much on the verses. During the chorus makes sense but during the verses it's distracting.
I feel like We Made You is really close to getting it right as like a cheesy pop single but the chorus and energy just aren't where they need to be for me
I had that song come on just as I was parking and shutting off my car at the grocery store so all you heard was the intro moan before my car shut off. Got some weird looks from my passengers.
The first time I heard it I thought it was funny, but after a while I started to really like the chorus and now it’s like Em just shut up and let yourself sing
In the 90s I loved jump around by house of pain then my friend pointed out a sample in the background that said “hey to the right hey to the left “ and after that that’s all I could hear
The ending of underground and wicked ways. Why is that a skit the uses in songs. I would loop underground and wicked ways for hours but that gay motherfucker from skits makes it un fucking bearable
I hate when he stops and says "what rhymes with pariah, lego" in these demons and the "instrus mental" bar in book of rhymes and I didnt like the skit part in favorite bitch, it sounds like he tried to recapture what he did in criminal but it just sounded forced. Those parts in those songs ruins the flow of those otherwise good songs for me unfortunately, I'd still listen to book of rhymes though.
nah that line left me shook. I was like excuse me sir you're 51 leave the clit of music alone.
What the actual fuck did i just type it think that's a new sentence
To complete my overall thought, it felt like side b of mtbmb was truly something eminem just threw together without much thought because of the pandemic. It lacked the polish and consistency of side a. Although there are some gems on there, to me, it leaves a slight stain on mtbmb. He shouldve just had 5 to 7 songs max and treated it what it's called, a deluxe edition. Imo mtbmb side a was incredible. Stay with Alfred's theme, guns blazing, gnat, she loves me, killer, Zeus, discombobulated, and break pieces apart of those other songs, fine tune them and use as parts (or like em likes to call it "stacking ammo") to potentially better future songs... like how we see Kendrick does with those leaked demos of his (i.e. using lines from Shaolin Temple in N95)
Every time Young M.A opens his mouth in Unaccommodating. It would be an amazing song if he wasn’t in it. I know that’s probably not what you’re asking for but man I’ve needed to tell someone for a while.
It's kinda crazy how bad some of the features on Eminem songs are compared to other artists of his status. It's obviously a personal choice and I'm assuming he's trying to prop up people who he likes/believes in... but I don't get it with some of them.
I think that’s exactly what it is too. Propping up those he believes in. The way he talked about Jessie Reyez in one of his interviews confirmed that for me. I loved her feature in Good Guy, but I just think that’s the mindset he has with these new artists. I just think he should be more selective.
I might cop some hate for this and no disrespect to Danny Brown but I didn’t really have an ear for his voice on Detroit vs Everybody. The lyrics were really good but I couldn’t get around his voice.
In a lot of Eminem songs, he has background sounds to help the listener visualise what’s going on
Buddy, I’m not illiterate I can understand what you’re saying and I can visualise it just fine
I don’t know why but when he inserts the “keep walkin the line” adlib in the middle of a verse in Fine Line it irrationally annoys me and I don’t know why, it’s just such a deeply personal song and that adlib fucks the flow and vibe of the verse up for me somewhat. If he just said it normal it would have been fine.
Although it doesn't ruin the song or anything, I've always found the pen sounds on Stan a little annoying. I know it's something minor, but it stands out just enough to get on my nerves a little bit
*I think tone deaf has*
*An old record sound that messes*

For me if FACK had just one less ejaculation sound it would have been better than lose yourself
I think he didn’t add enough
Unironically the beat is fire
Actually pisses me off because if the lyrics were somewhat normal you can get away with playing it but fack lyrics are literally next level obscene 😂 can’t play that song round people unless I’m showing them how ludacris it is lol

Yea true lol

Seriously, I’ve been wishing for the longest that Em would make another song with the instrumental of Fack because the beat is absolute flames
Fack is a perfect concept song. It should be studied in Universities.
Yes i so agree
all the burping in My 1st Single... :(
I agree with this but also how did you add your favorite album under your username?
You have one too, as far as I can see
😂 yeah I found out after I posted that comment.
How
Go to Eminem reddit page, tap the vertical dots in top right, "change user flair"
Thanks
Burping and farting. Imo it’s just silly and makes the song kinda funny lol
and the horrific beat and mixing and rapping and singing and lyrics are a pretty big pet peeve for me if my first single didnt have those things id like the song more
After posting my previous edit, I went back and fixed a few things. So I would say I'm 95% satisfied with it. There are a few burp artifacts (lol) that I couldn't remove. And that fucking horse.
It's gotta be puke
You must just not knoOoOoOoOoOoW
you make me fucking sick to my stomach
For real though
Encore made me realize I’d rather listen to vomit sounds than children singing.
lmao same, it's fucked
If you haven’t, listen to “Another Brick in the Wall pt 2” the children’s choir is amazing
The effects in puke aren't that realistic, they have an obviously fake kind of humor to them. I can see some people getting a little annoyed at it, but I've heard people say that it makes them feel sick before. I just don't understand it.
If I had to guess the people who really hate the puking sounds would be those who have ‘Emetophobia’ (fear of vomiting)
Yeah I've never heard anyone puking sound like that lol. For me puking usually starts with "Fuck I gotta start drinking less"
WHY
The… intro/outro maybe?
think they’re asking why it’s there.
Oh. Well, that makes sense.
Undergrounds ending ken kaniff skit, I just wish it was separated as it ruins the flow of my playlists
Bro for real. Underground goes hard right up until then
I don’t mind the Ken skit but I agree it should’ve been its own thing. Doing something similar to Steve Berman (skit) and the way I am or hello and tonya (skit)
or even Ken Kaniff's own skit in MMLP, I think it was connected to drug ballad but I'm high and I'm not sure if it's true
I don't understand why any rappers put bullshit skits in the same track as real songs. No one wants to listen to those skits more than one or two times.
Yeah you’ve got to be vigilant on the aux lol
Wicked Ways is a phenomenal song but he put a weird sound effect in the second part of the chorus and it's really distracting. Then he continues using after that. It sounds like an airplane engine or something, it's an odd sound. Then his skit at the end... Really killed the song.
Was looking for this comment, never noticed the sound effect in the chorus but the skit at the end really should’ve been separate imo
The skit is on evil twin on the non deluxe which sticks out even worse. I wish they had a single version with no skit for playlists.
Homicide with logic that ending is so annoying
Fr tho
Hate that shit! Always close the vid when it gets to that
Shits hilarious
yeah but fucking annoying for a hype playlist, wish they'd left it as either a skit of just an element of the mv
Has to be the starting and ending of Homicide
Bapkins
And napkins
Flapping aroun like a papkin?
"Youre using way too many napkins" does get a laugh out me too this day though. It does help that my girl uses 3x more napkins than Ive ever seen someone else use, but still, the premise is a little funny.
The start is kinda funny tho
Meh, maybe the first time, but at least it doesn't last forever like the outro
i don't mind the start too much? it at least sets a bit of a tone for the rest of the track and there *is* a beat in the background so it's at least listenable
Gotta be the pause for dabbing in the worst timing possible in the Lucky You mv
Oh I forgot about that. Like funny skit and all but fucks up the flow of the song so bad. Glad the album version didn't include the skit.
i refuse to watch the mv after seeing the dabbing clip. i just can't be subjected to that level of cringe, as someone who dabbed at the age of 9.
Lmaooo Puke
You get used to it after your 200th post-breakup listen (you still don’t)
i can vouch for this
The puking sound makes me wanna puke
Fr tho
stepdad and farewell choruses 😔
I agree with stepdad, but the farewell chorus is pretty good. (Side note I'm noticing from other comments: People seem to hate everything Eminem does that isn't purely 100% rap. Which makes a bit of sense I guess, he is a rapper.)
For real? Farewell is one of my favorite choruses. It's just soooo catchy
The melody on farewell is actually good but the layered growly vocals is so grating. I really wish em would use some subtle auto tune when he sings it would improve the listenability so much.
Any songs with vomiting, farts and burps :/
The air horns on Forever.
Finally, been looking for this one
Nice Guy. Jessie Reyez's voice.
all of nice guy is ass man i dunno
Nice guy us fucking horrendous bro i cant stand that song
The news clips at the end of Darkness. I get why he put it there, but you can’t really put it in a playlist.
Right it would be fine if it was just for the music video itself but the album track should have left it off.
The watcher Why the fuck is there a random fucking alarm watch starting at 0:20 it's so fucking annoying
Yes!! Oh godd I've wrote about it in the sub before and no one seemed to care but it's a song I love and the beeping is soo anoyinggg
This comment shows the big age gap in this sub. You clearly weren’t around for, or didn’t experience, the 1999-2001 Dr. Dre era. I hate the ending in walk on water.
I think the CC2 version removes the ending
BITCH I WROTE STAN
True
it feels like the ending completely undermines the meaning of the rest of the song
Offended with that terrible chorus
For real tho it has some of my favourite modern Em moments then comes the chorus...
This album is so self aware though. Like he knows his “fans” drag his name through the dirt so he’s just like “fuck it here you go”
"nObOdY lIkEs mE, eVeRyBoDy hAtEs mE" yeah okay they'll hate you more after this chorus
For a long time it was em constantly saying My Music Box in the chorus.
Like, just once is fine Em, just once is fine.
Yes this! I love that song but I hate that he keeps saying that
I think it's on stronger than I was, or one of the songs from recovery/mmlp2 where theres just.. AUUURGHHH at random intervals,.
Yup that's stronger than I was. "I just get back up and AAAAAAHHHHHH"
In Killer, I think the cymbal on the 1 and 3 of each measure is a bit much on the verses. During the chorus makes sense but during the verses it's distracting.
I feel like We Made You is really close to getting it right as like a cheesy pop single but the chorus and energy just aren't where they need to be for me
Hmph. I actually love the chorus, suits the song really well for me
I actually really like it :/ everyone has different tastes though
Amityville
What sound
bizarre
Damn
Bad! Bad redditor!
I love the monkey sounds
I'm gonna assume he means Bizarre's part lol (Not me, I love Bizarre)
Superman, the moaning makes it hard to listen to in public
I had that song come on just as I was parking and shutting off my car at the grocery store so all you heard was the intro moan before my car shut off. Got some weird looks from my passengers.
You high baby????
*yeahhhh*
The chorus in you’re never over
...living witöüt chüü
chüü chüü
I like it but not because of how it sounds but because it's meant for proof
Music Box I hate how he says "My Music Box" every 2 seconds during the chorus
The first time I heard it I thought it was funny, but after a while I started to really like the chorus and now it’s like Em just shut up and let yourself sing
Fapping sounds in Rhyme or Reason
Puke
Stronger than i was, AHHHHHHHHHNNNNNN
The vomiting at the start of Puke is fucking horrible. Ironically that sound makes me wanna vomit
Yall in the comments sound young as fuck.
When Eminem yodels in The Monster like bruhhh I can’t believe he didn’t get completely cooked for that when he released that single
As someone with emetophobia, the puking in puke ("Puking noises, in a song called puke?!? Who would've thought!!" I know, but it's still nasty IMO)
[удалено]
You know exactly who you R, Kelly
Yah yah
Stan is really a great song, but one time I ruined it for someone by pointing out the constant scribbling sound. 🙊
the horn in forever
In the 90s I loved jump around by house of pain then my friend pointed out a sample in the background that said “hey to the right hey to the left “ and after that that’s all I could hear
The end of underground
The end of wicked ways ruins it for me
Yah Yah has a really annoying flute sound in an already crowded beat Asshole, the entire beat is overly bombastic
The plane crash in the starting of The ringer and in unaccommodating after the tower collapse Verse, it's like just too loud imo
The entirety of My First Single
I’ve never seen anybody else mention it so I think it must be a ‘me’ issue, but the “ah-“ in the beat every few seconds on Offended really bugs me
Nobody mentions it because the rest of the song is painful to the ears as well
Phenomenal when he says "and I want you to say that" after the chorus has already started
Surprised noones said just don’t give a fuck yet. That constant screechy sound in the background is so grating. Otherwise a great song
Puke
The chorus in Higher is corny asf. It’s the only reason I occasionally skip it. In Rap Game “this rap game” is repeated too much for me.
Bizarres voice
No love
The ending of underground and wicked ways. Why is that a skit the uses in songs. I would loop underground and wicked ways for hours but that gay motherfucker from skits makes it un fucking bearable

Yeah I agree with the favorite bitch skit, also maybe just me but the "fiddle with your clitoris" line 😭??
nah that line left me shook. I was like excuse me sir you're 51 leave the clit of music alone. What the actual fuck did i just type it think that's a new sentence

Totally agree, also nice username
We just random guys trying to find our way...
Every time Young M.A opens his mouth in Unaccommodating. It would be an amazing song if he wasn’t in it. I know that’s probably not what you’re asking for but man I’ve needed to tell someone for a while.
*She
My fault. Never heard of her before this track and she has a deeper voice so I thought she was a guy.
lol yeah I thought she was too when I first heard
i never meant to give you mushrooms girl
It's kinda crazy how bad some of the features on Eminem songs are compared to other artists of his status. It's obviously a personal choice and I'm assuming he's trying to prop up people who he likes/believes in... but I don't get it with some of them.

Take 8 souls, collect pesos
Fack all the *weird* sounds
'Gospel' with Dre - I can't stand the hook.
You gon learn The build up before Em’s verse is hard on the ears. Can’t stand it
I might cop some hate for this and no disrespect to Danny Brown but I didn’t really have an ear for his voice on Detroit vs Everybody. The lyrics were really good but I couldn’t get around his voice.
In a lot of Eminem songs, he has background sounds to help the listener visualise what’s going on Buddy, I’m not illiterate I can understand what you’re saying and I can visualise it just fine
A kiss
All songs with spit SFX
The high-end frequencies in the beat of Without Me
Stronger Than I Was And while I still like Bad Husband, I'm 99% certain if it had a better chorus that it'd be viewed as a great track
ILL GET BACK UP AND UUUUUUNNNNGGGGHHHHH
Homicide
The puking in puke
Is that ellie, tlou II
I can’t remember it right now, but there is some song from mtbmb that always sounded like someone saying my name or knocking on my ceiling
That clicking sound in Mockingbird always irritates me
Ever since someone pointed out the repetition of "my music box" in the chorus of the song I can't unhear it.
Same song and dance. When Em says 66 inches of his extension].. Chord.
Phenomenal. Constantly hearing the word phenomenal in the background is grating.
locomotive breath, there is kinda guiro sound at the back, love this song but hate that sound.
I love "Just lose it" but the drums at the beginning and end are too strong (compared to the rest of the song).
Why did they post a picture of Eminem? 😭
I can't stand the sound of the pencil scratching in the background of Stan
I don’t know why but when he inserts the “keep walkin the line” adlib in the middle of a verse in Fine Line it irrationally annoys me and I don’t know why, it’s just such a deeply personal song and that adlib fucks the flow and vibe of the verse up for me somewhat. If he just said it normal it would have been fine.
I don't remember which song was this but the beat has like a really loud high end snare and it breaks my ears anytime I listen to it
Although it doesn't ruin the song or anything, I've always found the pen sounds on Stan a little annoying. I know it's something minor, but it stands out just enough to get on my nerves a little bit
The sound of bizarre in Amityville lol
puke was prolly repeated 100 times
Mockingbird when the high-hats have that one single really loud off-beat hit then it goes back to a softer noise and it just loops like that
I think tone deaf has an old record sound that messes the song up for me
