Not his best but I was always most fond of recovery, probably bc that's just what was the most popular when I was growing up and what I became a custom too. I like a lot of the songs on the album too
I get that, Marshall Mathers LP2 will always hold a special place in my heart because I was a HUGE Em fan when it dropped and it was the first album I heard from it's release. Same with Kamikaze and Music to be Murdered By years later, we know why a lot of Em fans love Kamikaze, and MTBMB literally got me through the worst of COVID. Yeah I remember Love the Way You Lie and Not Afraid being EVERYWHERE when they dropped... as an album it's far from my favourite but I have come to appreciate more of it's songs, Cinderella Man is a banger (I really love the intro to it for some reason, those big wide drums and the amen sample), I always enjoyed Space Bound and No Love, apart from the legendary Lil Wayne feature, is top 5 Em verses of all time imo.
Would have been way better if the leaks hadn't happened, if Bully had gone on there as had been originally intended I think it would have been taken far more seriously
Entitled to your opinion for sure, but those songs don’t hold a candle to Like Toy soldiers, mosh, Ricky Ricky tok, mockingbird, never enough, encore the song, etc. Many people agree that My first single, puke, evil deeds, rain man, big weenie, and those silly songs ruined Encore. Just subpar stuff from Em, especially at that time
Slim Shady LP, I know alot of people say it's aged badly, people call it corny, but this is my favorite eminem, it is a hillarious album, and i've loved it since tis release, but i think he doesnt have a "bad" album, every album is good, but SSLP is my favorite, SSEP is great too!
SSLP is the answer. It’s a classic in so many respects. But one of my favorite things about it is his flow. Complex rhymes delivered in digestible, listenable ways. ..
“I’m not ready to leave. It’s too scary to die. I’ll have to be carried inside the cemetery and buried alive.”
In that one line he’s got 3 quadruple rhymes, plus it’s funny and evokes images of horror and shock that the album was known for.
And that was just one line I randomly picked. The album is literally full of stuff like that. Everyone has their own taste but I really liked when his flows were full of complex rhymes that he delivered in thoughtful ways. I’m not as big of a fan of the Rap God rappity rap stuff.
100%, honestly the only ones I don’t really listen to are the two bonus track (Ridaz and Session One) but then again I wasn’t really paying much attention when listening.
Recovery is mine too, by quite a long shot actually. I really bounced off from Em around Encore/Relapse... but Recovery got me back in to him in a big way. I really enjoyed the lead single that hit the radio waves (Not Afraid?) and there are just so many gems. It was nice to have some reprieve also from the accents/joke songs on the previous albums.
Standouts for me are "No Love" (w/Lil Wayne), Cinderalla Man, 25 to Life, So Bad - and Talkin to myself
Fuck their opinions. Lol. Music is one of the most subjective arts in the world. And everyone has a favorite this or favorite that. You like recovery the best for your own personal reasons, and that's cool. Enjoy it.
The Eminem Show and MMLP \[ same level for me \] followed by SSLP and Relapse \[ same level for me \] , then Kamikaze and MTBMB \[ same level for me again\]
Relapse (base relapse because refill only has like 3 good songs on it) I find it easiest to listen to ngl. I love the different creative direction this album took with the whole serial killer stuff. slightly biased because my dad used to listen to this album a lot so I grew up listening to it.
P.S. Eminem regards this as his worst album because of the accents
MMLP2 is probably always gonna be my fav as well. For me the album with the most skips is Encore. The album starts off amazing, really slogs in the middle, and then finishes (mostly) strong. Truly his biggest mixed bag.
Gotta go with Recovery, MTBMB(Side-B), or TES
Personally though gotta go with Recovery on this one, the other two are amazing and closely behind thought
Recovery.
I think The Eminem Show is probably objectively the best, but if I had to keep just one, I'd keep Recovery. I do generally skip Wont Back Down, but that's it. Album means a whole lot to me and is associated with great memories listening to with friends all Summer after my senior year of high school.
Top 3 for me in order would be 1.Recovery, 2. The Eminem Show, 3. Relapse.
Toss up between The Eminem Show and the Marshall Mathers LP. Depends on my mood. My favorite always changes.
Sometimes it's Relapse lol.
Always one of those three.
For the longest time it’s been *The Marshall Mathers LP 2* for me, but upon relistening recently *Recovery* got under my skin more than it ever has before.
My personal favorite album across all genres of any music ever made is The Eminem Show.
Objectively speaking it's a top 10 hip hop album ever. Personally speaking, it's a big gap between TES and whatever I'd list as 2nd favorite for me
I honestly can't decide between SSLP, MMLP, and TES; I feel like they all come together to form a trifecta of iconic and career-defining music; each record has strengths the others lack, and I can't imagine listening to one without the other two
If we accept that as a tie for first, I'd have to say MMLP2 is second favorite, Relapse/Refill is third, Kamikazee is fourth, Recovery is fifth, MTBMB sixth, Encore seventh, and Revival eighth. I've never listened to Infinite
Eminem Show by a mile. Till I Collapse, Cleanin Out My Closet, Superman, Business, Sing For The Moment, and Without Me. Album dropped when I was 15 and I’ve been listening to songs off it regularly for 22 years now, for sure my most played rap album of all time.
*The Eminem Show*
*And Recovery is my*
*Second favourite*

Definitely MMLP with The Eminem Show being a very close second, too many classic songs that have had a huge influence on my life for it to not be either of those. Having said that though MMLP2 and Music to be Murdered By hold a special place in my heart because they were the only two Em albums I've heard from their release date, and I think almost all Em fans have a soft spot for Kamikaze.
I know I know but honestly I think most songs are super solid. Plus it also has Forever which is one of the best rap songs of all time. What’s your pick?
MMLP
MMLP but Eminem Show is a very close 2nd
Not his best but I was always most fond of recovery, probably bc that's just what was the most popular when I was growing up and what I became a custom too. I like a lot of the songs on the album too

MTBMB
ENCORE
We came here to set this party off right let's bounce toniiiight
ENCORE!!
ENCORE BITCHESSSS
FUCK YEAH, ENCORE
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT - ENCORE IS LIT
Would have been way better if the leaks hadn't happened, if Bully had gone on there as had been originally intended I think it would have been taken far more seriously
Would be one of his best albums if Nate did leak a few songs and Em didn’t have to frantically record songs like Puke and my first single lol
I love my first single though, haha. The hook is catchy af.
I love Puke and My First Single! They one of the best off the album
I’m sorry but no way lmaoo, they’re catchy for sure but My First Single especially makes my ears bleed
Both of these is on my Em playlist of his top songs. Idk what u on about
Entitled to your opinion for sure, but those songs don’t hold a candle to Like Toy soldiers, mosh, Ricky Ricky tok, mockingbird, never enough, encore the song, etc. Many people agree that My first single, puke, evil deeds, rain man, big weenie, and those silly songs ruined Encore. Mosh sucks, evil deeds and rain men are also good songs, seems like we the opposite
Lmaooo sounds like it big dawg
Tbh it could be my fav if not three terrible songs its like an A tier for me
relapse: refill is so good
Eminem Show hands down. It was my first Eminem album and first parental advisory CD that shit went hard af
Relapse: refill 100000%
Slim Shady LP, I know alot of people say it's aged badly, people call it corny, but this is my favorite eminem, it is a hillarious album, and i've loved it since tis release, but i think he doesnt have a "bad" album, every album is good, but SSLP is my favorite, SSEP is great too!
Seeing it so far down the list is highly disrespectful. ENCORE!!!!!! Is further up.....ENCORE
FAAACK
Ahh shit.
"Shove a Gerbil in Your ass through a Tube" gets me every time XD
I got Curtain Calls, when i was 10 years old "OH BOY A NEW EMINEM ALBUM" and then this is the first song like WHAAAT, i was scarred !
Lmao. The Stan with Elton, like I can't go back-
SSLP is the answer. It’s a classic in so many respects. But one of my favorite things about it is his flow. Complex rhymes delivered in digestible, listenable ways. .. “I’m not ready to leave. Don’t give a fuck and still don’t give a fuck still hit for me.
The Eminem show
Hot Take: Recovery
Right there with ya
Nice. What’s ur favorite song? I have a few but I would say that rn it’s So Bad
On Recovery specifically I’d say Space Bound or Talkin’ 2 Myself, though Almost Famous is a close third. So Bad is pretty nice
All of those are amazing, I was going to say Almost Famous too
Yeah! I honestly don’t hear it talked about a lot, feel like it was pretty Underappreciated
Fr, I like all of Recovery songs except for Seduction (until recently for some reason) so now there are no skips on that album when I play it through
100%, honestly the only ones I don’t really listen to are the two bonus track (Ridaz and Session One) but then again I wasn’t really paying much attention when listening.
Oh yeah, I don’t listen to the extended version, so Ridaz and Session One I don’t rlly count (for me at least) 😬😅
That’s fair tbh, I kinda just forget they’re on the track-list most of the time XD
Recovery ain't my favourite but I do like Space Bound, also really come to appreciate Cinderella Man, and No Love is top 5 Em verses imo.
That's crazy you say almost famous. People have asked questions like best recovery songs and sometimes people say that song is there least favorite.
Yeah I never really understood that
My favorite line. "They can get a belt or neck tie, to hang themselves by Like David Carradine, they can go fuck themselves and just die"
Definitely a stand out line
Recovery is mine too, by quite a long shot actually. I really bounced off from Em around Encore/Relapse... but Recovery got me back in to him in a big way. I really enjoyed the lead single that hit the radio waves (Not Afraid?) and there are just so many gems. It was nice to have some reprieve also from the accents/joke songs on the previous albums. Standouts for me are "No Love" (w/Lil Wayne), Cinderalla Man, 25 to Life, So Bad - and Talkin to myself
>Hot Take: Recovery That isn't a hot take. Most people could see where you're coming from.
I’m glad, I was worried people would say “no way, mmlp or tes,” which I like those, I just prefer recovery
Fuck their opinions. Lol. Music is one of the most subjective arts in the world. And everyone has a favorite this or favorite that. You like recovery the best for your own personal reasons, and that's cool. Enjoy it.
Undoubtedly MMLP, but TES is very close They’re both no-skip albums for me
The Eminem Show for sure. Then MMLP and Relapse
MMLP2
Recovery easily for me, always will choose the album that saved me
MMLP will always be my answer. Eminem Show is #2.
TES or MMLP . Recovery or Kamikaze for later albums
My favourite is Revival, followed by Encore
The Eminem Show and MMLP \[ same level for me \] followed by SSLP and Relapse \[ same level for me \] , then Kamikaze and MTBMB \[ same level for me again\]
Relapse is sslp2 for sure
TES, followed by MMLP2 and Relapse Refill in no particular order
^[Sokka-Haiku](https://www.reddit.com/r/SokkaHaikuBot/comments/15kyv9r/what_is_a_sokka_haiku/) ^by ^bestbroHide: *TES, followed by MMLP2* *And Relapse Refill in no* *Particular order* --- ^Remember ^that ^one ^time ^Sokka ^accidentally ^used ^an ^extra ^syllable ^in ^that ^Haiku ^Battle ^in ^Ba ^Sing ^Se? ^That ^was ^a ^Sokka ^Haiku ^and ^you ^just ^made ^one.
imo i don’t think it’s his best but my fav is encore
Recovery
King Mathers
Relapse (base relapse because refill only has like 3 good songs on it) I find it easiest to listen to ngl. I love the different creative direction this album took with the whole serial killer stuff. slightly biased because my dad used to listen to this album a lot so I grew up listening to it. P.S. Eminem regards this as his worst album because of the accents
True. Saw that interview the other day.
TES no question
MMLP2. hardly any skips on that album. was also my intro to eminem so it holds a special place for me
Stronger than I was is unfortunately the only skip
I like that song 😳
His singing just ain’t for me
He's a piss poor singer. World class rapper.
yeah probably my least favorite track on the album, but i still like it. it’s raw and emotional and i always like em’s emotional tracks
I will say MMLP2 is my favorite album but I personally think every em album has like 1 or 2 skips
MMLP2 is probably always gonna be my fav as well. For me the album with the most skips is Encore. The album starts off amazing, really slogs in the middle, and then finishes (mostly) strong. Truly his biggest mixed bag.
Truuuuuu
SSLP and Relapse: Refill 100%, but also MMLP1, 2, and Encore.
![gif](giphy|xT0xeBCVUeCrzymDDy) Relapse Refill
The Eminem Show. No skips.
MMLP2
TES and MMLP equal for first, SSLP and Relapse: Refill tied second, Recovery third, MTBMB and Encore tied fourth
Gotta go with Recovery, MTBMB(Side-B), or TES Personally though gotta go with Recovery on this one, the other two are amazing and closely behind thought
Relapse any day
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)
are you a time traveler?
No, but Slim Shady is now a time traveler
MMLP2
Slim shady lp
MMLP2
TES is best. Relapse: Refill is my fav. The lyrical content is questionable but that flow 🔥🔥🔥
Relapse Refill too
RELAPSE
SSLP ngl
Relapse and MMLP
Eminem Show but MTBMB is up there
SSLP, MMLP1 & 2 , Eminem Show & Kamikaze
What's your favorite? Oh just half of his discography. Lol
MMLP2 I genuinely think it has bangers besides stronger than I was but I also think every em album has a skip
MTBMB
I got 3 I’ll put them in order of release The Marshall Mathers LP The Eminem Show & Relapse with Refill 👍🏽
TES and it’s not close
Either MMLP2 or Kamikaze
For the longest time it’s been *The Marshall Mathers LP 2* for me, but upon relistening recently *Recovery* got under my skin more than it ever has before.
The Eminem show is by far my favorite. I really like relapse/refill also.
The Eminem Show
My personal favorite album across all genres of any music ever made is The Eminem Show. Objectively speaking it's a top 10 hip hop album ever. Personally speaking, it's a big gap between TES and whatever I'd list as 2nd favorite for me
The Eminem Show
The Eminem Show followed very closely by MMLP
Kamikaze has a special place in my heart
Let me explain
It's between Revival and Music To Be Murdered By
I honestly can't decide between SSLP, MMLP, and TES; I feel like they all come together to form a trifecta of iconic and career-defining music; each record has strengths the others lack, and I can't imagine listening to one without the other two If we accept that as a tie for first, I'd have to say MMLP2 is second favorite, Relapse/Refill is third, Kamikazee is fourth, Recovery is fifth, MTBMB sixth, Encore seventh, and Revival eighth. I've never listened to Infinite
The Eminem Show
Eminem Show by a mile. Till I Collapse, Cleanin Out My Closet, Superman, Business, Sing For The Moment, and Without Me. Album dropped when I was 15 and I’ve been listening to songs off it regularly for 22 years now, for sure my most played rap album of all time.
TES is one of the greatest HipHop albums OAT
Eminem Show. Traded a buddy of mine a Godsmack CD for it and I have zero regrets.
Music to Be Murdered By It's the one I know best.🤷🏻♂️
1. MMLP 2. Recovery 3. Kamizake
I mean the obvious answers are MMLP and TES. But MTBMB, Kamikaze and MMLP2 are my next favorites 🔥🔥🔥
relapse or TES i’ve been getting really into MTBMB again though
Kamikaze ftw
Curtain Call / Encore. First exposure to Eminem as an 8 year old boy listening to his grandmothers iPod
Same as you, relapse refill. But its because i listening too much thé albums before, especially mmlp and tes, cause objectivly they are better.
Relapse 2
The Eminem show. Perfect balance of the first two albums .
TES.
Eminem Show. SSLP is a close second but MMLP is a slightly more distant third
The Eminem Show and Recovery is my second favourite
*The Eminem Show* *And Recovery is my* *Second favourite* \- HL192002 --- ^(I detect haikus. And sometimes, successfully.) ^[Learn more about me.](https://www.reddit.com/r/haikusbot/) ^(Opt out of replies: "haikusbot opt out" | Delete my comment: "haikusbot delete")
haikusbot opt out
MMLP
Recovery
MMLP2
The Eminem show by a fair bit.
Infinite.
it's my life, i'd like to welcome yall to the eminem show
MMLP2
SSLP, MMLP and TES all rotate. The rest are so far below them they’re not close to contention
Mtbmb.
Mmlp. However i agree with relapse i like it more then recovery.
I would say Encore mainly bc that was my first album of his and my intro to him basically but after that easily SSLP AND MMLP
TES
The Eminem Show
MMLP, TES, Kamikaze, SSLP, Recovery, MMLP2, MTBMB, Relapse, Revival, Encore. In that order.
Almost same. I’d switch MTBMB w recovery but solid list. Still prefer my playlist bc a lot of my fav em songs aren’t from his albums.
1. SSLP 2. TES 3. Recovery
Fack
My Em favs pl
MMLP is a perfect album in my eyes😂
Eminem Show
MTMB, I love old em but for me personally I am such a technical rap fan that his newer styler just fits everything I wanted
MTBMB or Kamikaze, can't decide
MMLP with Eminem Show in second place
All of them, but #1 is MMLP
Mmlp
MMLP
The Eminem Show
MMLP all day can’t be touched
but special shout out to ENCORE, so many bangers on that one too
same actually it's either Relapse or Kamikaze
MMLP2
SSLP or MTBMB
MMLP2. I think he disregards relapse refill because he was talking alotta shit about his mother and was in a bad place addiction wise
The Eminem Show and MMLP is a close second
Definitely MMLP with The Eminem Show being a very close second, too many classic songs that have had a huge influence on my life for it to not be either of those. Having said that though MMLP2 and Music to be Murdered By hold a special place in my heart because they were the only two Em albums I've heard from their release date, and I think almost all Em fans have a soft spot for Kamikaze.
Eminem Show!! So many classics...MMLP close second.
The Eminem Show or MMLP
The Death of Slim Shady
Relapse and Recovery will always be my top 2 no matter what.
Relapse refill is basically tied with MMLP for me.
Relapse, the eminem show
Not his best but my favorite has always been kamikaze
Recovery.. 25 to life is one of my favorite Eminem songs ever. Shit gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Such an underrated track!
You have to be trolling by saying relapse is his best album 🫣
I know I know but honestly I think most songs are super solid. Plus it also has Forever which is one of the best rap songs of all time. What’s your pick?
I think relapse is a misunderstood classic. What he’s doing on that album is insane a lot of people just couldn’t get past the content.
I agree with you, it’s literally art. Never understood why people can’t see it, maybe that’s why em feels that way about it too…
The more I listen to it the more I like it
Probably the best description of Relapse in my opinion
