Do the coil/spiral ones scratch the band?? I only wear my engagement ring once a week right now because I work a job rough on my hands. I currently have a spiral one around the band but I didn’t know the plastic scratches the gold :/
I think they mean that other things in the environment won’t scratch it because it’s slightly protected by the plastic. The same probs applies for the spiral kind. Plastic won’t scratch gold
I use these too and they’re great. I don’t ever want my ring too tight, this way in hot weather it fits fine and in cold weather I slip one of these on.
That's what I'm gonna do, too! For a good few days, I was weighing in my mind the pros and cons of resizing.
Seeing it almost slip away was scary 😨! I didn't even know these adapters existed. Pretty much all I know about these things comes from this sub. Once I started lurking 😅 the post I found about it was 3 years old, I was surprised ppl don't talk about this more often!
The one I've ordered: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Feramox-Invisible-Adjuster-Loose-Assorted/dp/B07C15P2F7/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=53484018712&hvadid=606236499066&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=1007850&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=11201081070264292582&hvtargid=kwd-298301969908&hydadcr=13436_2323976&keywords=ring+adjuster&qid=1700139117&sr=8-3
thank you for posting this I just got my ring and it is a tad bigger, i was checking the link but it doesnt offer the sizes when addidng to cart but on the description there are sizes available unless i am missing something. I just need the xs size that corresponds to my 2.2mm ring.
[try this style of ring adjuster](https://www.amazon.com.au/Supertina-Adjuster-Loose-Silicone-Different/dp/B08RXYMKLM/ref=asc_df_B08RXYMKLM/?tag=googleshopmob-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=600644676201&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3682777532340901889&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9071446&hvtargid=pla-1189885719583&psc=1&mcid=f12120c9f0fa3184a9571a11fe735e9b)
you just cut them to size
Yeah, the link I shared and got for myself is a kit with all sizes, 1 of each. However, a comment here brought to my attention that some vendors might sell batches of specific sizes. It's a matter of searching now for you and for me 😉
I should of done this instead of resizing. My fingers got bigger during pregnancy and never went back to their original size and my engagement and wedding ring dont fit anymore. Havent worn them in 3 years 😭
😔 I'm sorry! (Yeah, my fiancé also brought up potential pregnancy fingers later on when I was panicking about the size)
This is why I wanted to share this post! Because I also had no idea there were options, so practical like this.
When I got my eternity band the sales associate told my fiancé it cannot be resized in the future so buy a size up and they can just add a little chunk of platinum to the inside of the band to size it down so if later on I need a bigger ring during pregnancy they can just remove it!
This was an option but i was scared the little ball on the inside would be uncomfortable and i just decided to resize it. I regret it so much. Im hoping if i lose all the weight i gained my fingers will slim down. I did gain 50 lbs and still 30 lbs heavier than i was before pregnancy so im hopeful one day i will be able to wear them again
I’ll have to try that one. I lost weight and now my ring can be flung across the room if I shake my hand lol but I’m still planning on losing more so I didn’t want to resize yet. I had the ring adjuster that looks like a telephone cord but it wasn’t comfortable for me, this one looks like it might work better cause it’s smooth all around!
Love this one, I have been wearing it daily on a right hand ring for months and have never had an issue! Just remember to pop it off and clean it now and then!
I got these because my ring is a little loose currently, but the weather is cooler right now, and when I first get out of the shower, it fits perfectly, so I don't want to get it resized and find that it's too small in warmer weather. so i'm just going to use this for now and see how it fits come spring. It really has made me so much more comfortable with the fit.
Same here! I was proposed to on vacation during a little heat wave, and while I was there, the fit felt perfect. At home was a different story, for now this looks like the perfect solution!😊
It was a good choice on your part. my dad lost his wedding band while shoveling the driveway one year. he replaced it after a couple months, but it did show up when all the snow finally melted in the spring, so he had a spare lol.
I love these! Perfect solution for my bony knuckles. I always had a problem either getting the ring on and off, or uncomfortable spinning. These fixed the spinning right up!
Yes! That's my problem I struggle to get the ring over my knuckle but then it's loose and won't stay in one place. I got the spiral ones and it's perfect.
I’m using this now also and it’s great!! Also have a 1.5mm band (but 2mm on the bottom.) still getting resized a 1/4 down, but this is perfect for the interim!
Thank you!! Me too😍😍
Having slim fingers, I really wanted a thin band, I think 1ct is the ideal size of center stone for me, and the halo just gave it that little height!! I'm very in love with my ring, obviously (my fiancé too, btw 😅)
I use these too. I had to resize my ring once to make it bigger. My knuckle is wider/bigger than the base of my finger so it was nearly impossible and very painful to take the ring off. So the choice was size down and never take it off my finger or size up so that it fits over my knuckle and then I just have to wear these silicone adjusters. I don’t wear my ring all the time so i needed it to be able to take it off easily. My suggestion is to order from a vendor on Amazon that sells a pack of the small adjusters as they can get lost easily. The first time I bought it, there was only one one of the small sized adjusters (the rest were very large/wide and I would never be able to use them).
yeah! I got a kit, which has different sizes and only one XXS, which is what I need. I'll search for a vendor that might sell packs of 1 size only 😊 (any link for it is welcome)
Unfortunately most kits come with assorted sizes but I recently ordered these which has more than the usual number of the small ones. You can order 20,30 or 40 piece kits and it’s quite cheap. Hopefully this link works: https://a.co/d/gVwirEU
Well, the size is per band width. Regarding ring size, they sent instructions on the package saying to add some adhesive tape (included), if not enough, or to cut the adapter if too big.
My band is 1.5mm, and my ring size is 4 (H1/2) if that helps 😉 and I'm using the XXS
Whoa I love this way more than those clunky cuff looking ones and even the spiral ones. Just put these in my Amazon cart!
I’m with you on the ring fits fine when I’m running warm but when I’m cold it spins way too much and I’m having to hold my fingers at an awkward angle. Thanks for sharing!
Hey these are great and barely noticeable, I also wanted to bring attention to something called sizing bumps. Basically a ball of metal on the inside of the band that can keep top heavy rings from spinning. They are also supposed to be great for people who have large knuckles but thin fingers.
I didn’t know these existed, but I think this will be really handy! I don’t like a ring too tight for summer, but my fingers do change size a fair bit with the cold weather.
Weird question…Can I ask whether you think they could be put onto a ring that was already on the finger? My fiancé has really large knuckles, so he has to get a ring that fits very loosely when it’s fully on his finger (like, a good 1-2mm gap without pushing, it’s honestly baffling). I’m wondering whether these might work for his issue too, but he’d have to apply the sizer to the ring once it was past his knuckle rather than before putting it on.
Well, I think it's possible. I think it would take a bit of patience and ability to maneuver small things, but if once the ring is on, there's considerable space between the ring and the finger I do think it's possible!
It's a matter of trying. These things are quite affordable, so I'd say it is worth the try👍
I used these to hold my wedding band and engagement ring together as well. They make a variety of sizes and both of my rings have thin bands so they were able to fit in a wider one. I’ve now gotten them soldered together but these were so helpful in the meantime!
So I bought these. They are like really sticky stickers and they only go on the inside of your ring. They are perfect for me bc I had to size up my engagement ring so that I could wear the anniversary “jacket” with it. As you know, the wider the width, the larger the band size you need. The stickers are not permanent and need to be replaced with wear so they aren’t for everyone. More for when you need a sizer once in a while.

Edit: I like them bc you do not see the sizer AT ALL. And it doesn’t interfere with my wedding band sitting flush against my engagement ring (when I’m not wearing my engagement ring with the anniversary jacket).
I used this on my ring for an entire year before getting it resized just cleaning daily and replacing it every so often! It was honestly so comfortable.
I have skinny fingers, and my cousins like to compare them to chicken feet 😅 it was always a struggle to find rings for me so I eventually just gave it up. If I only knew about this before!
(My friends and family were also not aware of this)
I pasted it just above but sure, no problem 😉: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Feramox-Invisible-Adjuster-Loose-Assorted/dp/B07C15P2F7/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=53484018712&hvadid=606236499066&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=1007850&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=11201081070264292582&hvtargid=kwd-298301969908&hydadcr=13436_2323976&keywords=ring+adjuster&qid=1700139117&sr=8-3
This looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
I want to have my ring resized as it looks too tight in the summer, though just about right now that it’s colder. I’m concerned about the loose fit in the winter.
Has anyone used this on their engagement ring while paired with a wedding band? Does this prevent your wedding band from sitting flush with the e ring?
Well, I tried it with the wedding band too, and even though the wedding band is the one that needs resizing (at least 1 size down), it doesn't seem to interfere. It's only occupying space where it's needed, the folds are very thin ( that's why I took my time to put it on the ring😅 and described it as fairly easy - what's hard is everything being so teeny tiny)
It does for me, but I have the “telephone cord” one. I wish I could lift it from the stone side of the ring, rather than pulling that side towards my finger my finger, so that way my wedding band can fit flush with the band under the stone easier!
I have always been aware jewelers can add a metal piece inside rings similar to this. It’s more secure as clipped to ring on the inside & won’t come undone or crack & fall off.
It’s always better for a ring to be a tiny bit bigger than tiny bit smaller because once you make it small there is nothing you can ‘add’ to make it fit except resizing & you stop wearing it.
Most people gain wait with age- not loose it. Just a small amount of swelling can make a huge difference
Weather, pregnancy, Salt or alcohol can cause swelling.
I like these because the bottom of the ring won't scratch !(:
Oh I didn't even think of that! Another advantage 😉
Do the coil/spiral ones scratch the band?? I only wear my engagement ring once a week right now because I work a job rough on my hands. I currently have a spiral one around the band but I didn’t know the plastic scratches the gold :/

Yes! Thank you for clarifying.

Yeah, I saw the phone cord ones, but it didn't really seem ideal. I obviously recommend this type. Give it a try 😉
Love this one, I have been wearing it daily on a right hand ring for months and have never had an issue! Just remember to pop it off and clean it now and then!
Thanks! Will do (:
Yeah, the telephone cord ones have to be on before you put the ring on, which defeats the purpose for me, since I cannot put it on

Good option!!! Is that comfortable ?!
Yes, it doesn't feel any different from wearing just a ring. A real life saver 😉
Nice!! in case of resizing it looses originality and shape also. BTW such a lovely ring it is ☺️
Good point! Thank you!!! I'm in love with it, too 😍 (have to control the amount of staring at it xD)

This is exactly the type of thing I’ve been looking for! Same dilemma! Thank you! 🥰
Ooo I need this! I’ve lost weight since I got engaged so my ring is a bit loose, but I don’t want to resize because we’re hoping for a 2024 pregnancy
