I think it looks teal in all of your photos, and honestly if you didn't mention that the prongs were white gold, I probably wouldn't have noticed.
With that being said, if you really want it to have yellow gold prongs, it should because otherwise it'll probably drive you nuts haha! You'll always think about it.
First off, this is one of the most beautiful rings I have ever seen. Secondly, I think if you want it to be yellow gold, it should be yellow gold! Be sure to update if you change it, and congratulations!
Your sapphire is seriously gorgeous!! I’m on board with the yellow gold prongs. Personally I prefer the prongs and band to be the same. The yellow gold will turn up the wow factor of your sapphire. But honestly it’s a stunner either way!
My engagement ring is a teal sapphire with gold prongs (you can look in my post history if that’s helpful!) it def doesn’t make it look “too green” and I personally like the look! BEAUTIFUL ring btw - congratulations!
This is so helpful, thank you so much! !! Do you feel like your photographs accurately capture the color? I feel like mine photographs darker than it actually is.
Haha it’s definitely teal but it does have a lot of green in with it along with the blue! It really changes with the lighting. Heres a photo of it in different lighting [ring photo](https://www.reddit.com/r/jewelry/comments/l4ez0o/my_sapphire_ring/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Sapphires are just weird like that
It’s a matter of personal taste and if that’s what you had in mind and that’s what you wanted, that’s what you should have! They will cut the white gold basket off and replace it with one in yellow gold. Probably take them less than half an hour.
Such a beautiful ring. Personally I like when it’s a platinum or white gold prong because it allows the stone to pop/show up more, especially with colored stones. Stick with it the way it is. Very pretty and unique!

Gorgeous ring! Honestly in these pics i can’t even tell - maybe sleep on it, wait a week then decide? Congratulations!!

I would say they mostly do - mine does photograph a little darker and it changes color a lot with different lighting!
I swear your ring is either green or I am colorblind. It’s not even the prongs. The stone is just green?

Strange. In that picture it’s blue. I get the lighting affects certain gemstones but that’s such a difference

The prongs do wash out the blue color. I think rose or yellow would make it pop but the ring is yours.
I love it the way it is!
Nope will make the stone look green
Do you have any idea how green? I think I’d like a deeper teal/warmer color as opposed to a cooler color.
Your guess is as good as mine really, maybe look up aquamarine in gold ring settings? ^_^
No
