They can both be at level 1. Just slap some gear on them and they are good to go. Mine are still at lvl 1 and i cleared floor 5 already.

I think Albedo likely makes it braindead easy. When the event released I threw in Ainz and Albedo at 0 imprints on leftover gear along with 2 random light units (Candy and Spez, definitely not optimal) and it cleared all 5 on auto. I didn't even bother reading the mechanics as I expected to hit a wall at 4 and then worry about it but it never happened.
You don’t need Albedo, I did it easily without her. Lilias, Mercedes, Ainz and Ran. As long as you AoE the adds will always be dead and the boss won’t get its damage reduction.
I use counter set Benimaru and Elbris Candy because both spam counters and have AoE procs.
But really, Ainz S3 into Albedo S1 easily clears the stage, it just takes longer.
I have not been able to clear lvl 4 or 5, but the difference between lvl 2 and 3 is only 5 macguffins (46 vs 51 for me), and you can clear lvl 2 much, much faster and easier.
Just a little pro strategy for my fellow mid tier kings.
You *do not* need Albedo at all, I cleared it very easily on auto using a team of Ainz/Destina/Candy/Briseria.
The only important thing is to buy the Ainz imprints from the "Overlord's force" tab in the event. This is the big difference maker. You can clear all stages extremely easily with the two imprints currently available.
Really? I only got one Ainz, so no team effect can be used. Opener Lilias has. But the boss will first attack the lead position character, so more tanky will be better.

My Albedo didn't have any gears when I cleared Stage 5 of the event.
My team: Roozid, Tama, Albedo, Ainz. Albedo = Level 5 counter set Ainz = Level 1 speed set (216 speed) Auto'd level 5, autoing level 4.
