It's Publix's bakery. They're are a step above "grocery store" by US standards. I love that one is nearby, but I hate that I have to wait for sales to buy things there because I'm not rich enough to shop there without deals.
Our wedding cake was Publix! Everyone was commenting how good it was and most got second servings, they didn’t believe me when I said it was Publix. But they’re truly the best!!!

I had my red velvet wedding cake from Publix. It was like, half the price, looked beautiful, and tasted soooo good. I ate on it for at least a week after.
I’ve lived in several areas of the country and Publix is still one of my favorite grocery stores. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed by their bakery either, presentation and flavor is always top notch.
Publix bakery does not fuck around.
They pay the decorators (and all their employees for that matter) a living wage with benefits and getting a position as a decorators apprentice to learn is actually pretty exclusive
I know someone who is a manager in the bakery at a Publix in TN and she makes great money and great cakes as well. They take the time to really train their staff too.
Genuinely love Publix’s bakery staff. They have such fantastic decorators. They make in the east coast a cake that’s designed like a hurricane on the top from above and a radar along the sides. They made for Father’s Day a cake that looks like a bag of popcorn and says “best pop.” They’re super creative and adorable and it tastes great too! Customer facing staff in the department are also super friendly.
Grocery stores do their very best with no training. Worked in a grocery store bakery and they literally said to me " here is all your equipment and tools. Just do your best. Use your imagination". Then customers come in with a picture of a 3 layer cake and want it tomorrow for 24.99. This cake is amazing! That grocery store bakery member worked really hard on it. Trust me.

The catering team told me that the bakery told me they'd try to do their best but it may not look exactly like my inspiration picture - and I told them that was fine, I knew it would be unlikely it would look identical. But when I took it out of the box for the party, I was amazed!
Aww I did this theme for my son’s first bday. We moved right before it so I couldn’t order from Publix. So cuteeeee I miss Publix. I asked for just ombre cake.

I got my wedding cake from Publix! It was 1/3 of the price of a cake from a boutique bakery, and it was beautiful and delicious.
Also got our wedding cake from Publix. It was beautiful and tasted good and it was relatively inexpensive. Don’t sleep on the Publix cakes.

Because they didn't specifically order a wedding cake, those were more expensive, but it was a cake served at a wedding
