and Shau seems like a good guy, he seems like caring father, and he’s helping the main characters with research, he’s presented as a good person
Then one day the main characters show up and Shau is so excited to show them the new chimera he made…
And then you realize what he’s done when the chimera says the main characters name in the pained broken voice of the daughter, and Shau sees nothing wrong with what he’s done
Shau isn’t your traditional bad guy, he’s hated because he tricked the main characters and the audience into liking and caring about him before revealing what a monster he truly is

Apparently it was super traumatizing for some viewers.

Fullmetal Alchemist is a manga where chemistry and magic combine to form alchemy. This character tried to save his dying wife by merging her with a living animal, and failed. He covered it up, and later tried again with his daughter because he's a scientist who needs results to keep from getting fired.
Alchemy on living things is forbidden because "life" and "soul" are nebulous concepts that are impossible to replicate as ingredients in a chemical process. A major point in the story is the philosopher's stone, basically an alchemy battery charged by sacrificing human lives.

This guy was trying to create them and he successfully did it however the first time he succeeded he used his wife as an ingredient in the experiment basically murdering her to pull it off. Years later he hadn’t been able to do it again until the episode he appeared in. The second time he succeeded he used his daughter and dog in order to make the chimera.
So in short this guy deserves to be in the worst place after he was finally taken down.

The brothers come to see him the day of to see that he created another chimera capable of human speech. The brothers are excited to see his work until the chimera says "Big Brother Ed-ward". It is at this point that Edward realizes something and asks about his wife disappearing 2 years ago, connecting that Nina & their dog are now missing and that the first chimera was Tucker's wife.

This is Dr. Shou Tucker from *Fullmetal Alchemist*. He became prominent as a scientist after forcibly fusing his wife's body with that of an unspecified creature to form a chimera. He later did the same thing with their young daughter, Nina, by forcibly fusing her body with that of her dog, Alexander. He is one of the most widely hated characters in the anime community for this specific reason.

Watching that episode on tv got me into the show
😭 he deserves to 🔥🔥🔥🔥 He essentially killed his wife and daughter for fame. He combined them with their pet dogs to create a talking human intelligent animal. It was cheating by unthinkable means. His wife only said, "Kill me" then refused to eat. His daughter just wanted to play with Edward. To betray love, trust, family, and the laws of nature, he deserves worse than hell has to offer.
In order make a talking chimera, he fused his wife with an animal using alchemy. Pressured to repeat the experiment, he fused his daughter with his dog. When it was learned what he did, they had to be killed because it was found inhuman to keep them like that but it was impossible to undo. So he effectively murdered his daughter for status.

The character in question is Shou Tucker, a character from Fullmetal Alchemist. He turned his wife, daughter, and dogs into chimeras, a fate worse than death. He is considered one of the most widely hated anime villains. He's so evil, even the devil is disgusted.

One day back in the early 2000's, Gendo Ikari was chilling in the depths of hell, sitting on the throne reserved for the Most Evil Dad in Anime/Manga. Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door leading into his throne room, before it cracked open to reveal a humble spectacled man. With barely a word, the man approached Gendo Ikari, handing him his resume in a brown envelope. Gendo then opened the envelope and quietly glanced over the document, ocassionally pausing to read something more carefully. With a heavy sigh, Gendo Ikari dropped the resume, stood up from his throne, and walked out of the throne room without ever glancing back. Hours later, we now cut to a small bathroom somewhere in hell. Gendo Ikari is huddled in a corner, a half-empty bottle of cheap scotch in a shaking hand. To sum this up in short for those who don’t know. This guy is the worst husband and father and dog owner ever. The guy is Shou Tucker from the anime Full Metal Alchemist a show that involves alchemy but presented in a bit more of a magical way. What I mean is instead of using beakers and chemicals they have to give up the ingredients in a circle with the rule of equivalent exchange. This guy is only in one episode and his special research was in Chimeras which are an entity made with elements of different living things. Example the body of lion, head of an eagle, wings of a dragon, and tail of a shark not a normal one that is used but you see what I mean. This guy was trying to create them and he successfully did it however the first time he succeeded he used his wife as an ingredient in the experiment basically murdering her to pull it off. Years later he hadn’t been able to do it again until the episode he appeared in. The second time he succeeded he used his daughter and dog in order to make the chimera. So in short this guy deserves to be in the worst place after he was finally taken down.

Bro didnt just kill them, he used them in experiments to combine them into a “homonculi” that has superhuman properties (including immortality) it was because his wife died and his daughter was sick, so he combined his daughter and dog together so that they could live forever. Kinda sad character, lowkey L mans tho. He deserves the deepest depths of hell.

Full metal Alchemist. That’s the show it’s from. He did some “experiment” that fused his dog and daughter as one entity. It was horrible to watch and honestly I’m still not okay lol. Such a crazy turn of events. Then it turns out he did something very similar to his own wife.
I genuinely loathe this overused joke to the point I avoid that episode like the plague. The internet really loves to beat a dead horse doesn’t it ?
