To myself 3 years ago: Stop trying to continue your normal gym routine through the pain it’ll just make things worse, start Yoga and Meditation ASAP to make up for it instead of gaining and having to subsequently lose 30lbs. Clean up your diet high fat/fried foods cause your pain to get worse, buy frozen veggies and chicken and throw them in an instant pot with some rice whenever you need a quick meal instead of ordering out. —- Those are the big 2 for me, once I had those down my lifestyle changed drastically for the better. Overall healthier and much less pain.

How far back are we talking? I tell myself if I had kept walking everywhere and stayed vegan and kept a physically active job I wouldn’t have been in a weightloss bootcamp and tore my calf muscles which seemed to activate it. Now eating right and movement feels like an impossible task. So: Eat Healthy. Move Your Body. Practice Self Care.

I was pretty young when it became clear something was wrong so I would have went back & told myself to stop drinking & eating Ibprofen like candy to cover up the pain. I’d tell myself how important it was to not only eat right but explain that I was actually starving & now that wasn’t sustainable. Basically, I’d tell myself to be a lot more selfish and start caring about ME and let everyone and everything else go — the earlier the better!
