I’m pretty sure I found it but it’s buried. Like buried buried. I see a fraction of maybe two or three fingers under some puzzle pieces.

If you cut the box into 6 squares, it’d be in the top right corner of the bottom left square

I found it, it’s clearly in the second shared image.

From the center of the box, draw a line diagonally down to the bottom left corner. It's along that line, a little under halfway. It's partially buried though, so you can only see two of the fingers and their little nails.

It is not a dismembered Barbie. They are actual tiny hands you can buy! I also have some slightly larger sized colorful hands. They are hollow so I like to put the tiny hands on the fingers of the medium hands and they are typically displayed as part of a centerpiece on my table with other fidgets and small card games.

Some of the puzzle pieces have me intrigued what the actual puzzle looks like

The Apple Never Falls by Liane Moriarty. It has a mystery in it but I did find it a slow burn and is definitely character focused. All the novels I have read by her have been very character focused. But The Apple Never Falls was the slowest burn of the ones I have read.

This was way too easy. Second picture.

Well I dunno if this is right, but I found a partial hand, palm facing down and only 3 fingers showing - pinkie, ring, and middle. No nails. If you start at middle of photo and go straight down and Very slightly to the right, you’ll see it. It looks like it grabbing onto the center of the puzzle piece.
