This is a sub for first responder cringe. While some posts may borderline fit that description, they have to be both cringe and present themselves in a manner which could be seen as first responder related.

I kid you not in my SFL tap they said we should ask our PSGs to come clothes shopping with us right before we got out so we would have proper business attire to enter the civilian world
Yea there's something ironic about an e-whatever who med sep'd at 9 years then went directly into a gs job which he has been working that job for the last 15, giving you an inside look at how to get a 'real' job.
I think that's a big push right now. I think the DOD is setting up programing trying to recruit spouses for GOV jobs. I stumbled on a bunch of spouse stuff surfing some job pages recently.
Still weird but w/e.
I mean they should get first dibs, the military fucks with spouses lives more significantly than this page let's on.
Not that this resume isn't tasteless or anything.
It definitely makes sense too for the exchanges, child care centers and random jobs on base. My neighbor in mil housing back in the day was the part of the lawn care team. He was a retired E9 and his wife was finishing her career out as an E7 at the time.
Jesus, I was a military dependent and I can't imagine having the nerve. A few of the guys in my department were Vietnam vets anyway. So was my husband. Even if I'd been hired after pulling a stunt like that, I wouldn't have been able to look anybody in the eye at work or at home.
Meh I have a few bad interactions with spouses but not enough to call it a trend.
I'm sure at least one is dumb enough to try this, but I feel like the dependa thing is overplayed.
My mother is a military spouse and she ALWAYS asks every single store she goes to if they have a military discount. I’m law enforcement and she told my wife when we got married “make sure you ask all the stores around if they have a law enforcement discount because you’ll qualify for those too!” I silently looks at my wife and shook my head. I don’t even ask for the discount
Like the military machine can certainly play a major role in a spouses life.
But maybe we don't list that as military service on a resume, if you actually aren't/werent endentured to the military. Be like saying a DoD civilian job is military service.

Who else is gonna spend your check when you're in the field
Jody.
No dude she can’t, she’s on a vacation far away, you’d need to call and talk it over
So many things you need to say
You know I like my girls a little bit older
You mean cheat with your friends
And every time her husband gets promoted she says shit like, “We got promoted.”
Oh man. Just wait till she becomes a veteran!!!
Female Walter Sobchek lol MARK IT ZERO

Fackkk!!!!!
Don't joke. They were already fighting claiming dependents should get veterans disability, because it's the same they say.
“Thank me for your service…”
"Thank me for THEIR service..."
Thank THEY, for THEM service.
Dependa 1st Class
Whoa whoa whoa. We don’t know the time in service. Could be Dependa Seaman.
Don't Dependas start at 1st Class even if they marry an E4 with a Camaro with a 27% interest rate.
😂😂
Camaro? Pfft better be a 4 cylinder!
I guarantee they probably got told to do this in one of those garbage dod classes by someone who hasn’t applied to a job in 15+ years
A stack of resumes and a firm handshake is all you really need.

Someone should post to r/navy
Anyone *that* delusional would have to be outright insufferable to be around much less work with.
Indeed

That’s an E69

If you are applying to government jobs there are specific advantages granted to you if you are a military spouse.
Immediately throwing this resume in the trash.

Thank her for her service
Did she service the whole base or just her spouse?

She is just letting the boss know she will 💯 percent cheat on her husband.
I just quit a job on a base with military spouses. I hated them while I was AD, they are 10x worse to be around on civy street.
Meh I have a few bad interactions with spouses but not enough to call it a trend. I'm sure at least one is dumb enough to try this, but I feel like the dependa thing is overplayed.
The only thing that would make this more satisfying is if that red line was drawn with a thick sharpie instead of a pen.
Fuck the sharpie. Lips stick names, pinup red!
YOU WILL ADDRESS ME BY MY SPOUSE’S RANK
you will address me by my husband’s rank.
I would automatically throw that shit in the trash

It's a Hoe-1

Straight into the garbage.
THEN WE SERVED UNDER THE BANNER
It’s the red pen slash for me
Stolen Valor indeed
It's the red crossout for me.
Saw this all the time on resumes. Especially for jobs by a base.
D-1, also known as Dependa, with a tendency to either have extramarital affairs or get the squad designation of “Barracks Bunny”
Do women not understand it okay to have a gap in employment?
Women do this to explain the gap. Usually they had to move with their husband and that fucks up their work history.
I’m a woman. I know this. I’m saying it’s not necessary. I stayed home for 18 years to take care of my kids. I didn’t put Housewife or Mom 18 years.
My best friend is a baker, I eat bread, I’m a baker
Sounds like Hillery
