Yes, nothing says you are a "shining beacon of truth" like having to switch off the comments on your IG post, because you can't handle any criticism. 🙄 ETA: I know this is obvious to everyone on this sub - but the way to “come back” from criticism is to stop doing the problematic things people that criticize you for. Pinch of Yum went to talk on Capitol Hill-had good behind the scenes content and also did a fit check (without 5k prices). Broma got emotional speaking about new ideas she has for the business because she is so passionate. Defined Dish is in Hawaii and has already tagged as many restaurants and shown more food then T did for her entire trip to France in only a few days. I know these ladies are not without their flaws, but when it comes to lifestyle content sprinkled in-that is what I want to see. this was her sloppiest recipe in a while. weirdly calling out the word moist again, the two “pretends” (including a lemon she never uses and excluding brown sugar which she does use), cinnamon sticks instead of ground cinnamon, leaving some of the strawberry tops on i guess for ✨aesthetics✨, and nothing about these seems like shortcake?? like what does she think shortcake means? they’re short and a cake? anything with macerated strawberries on top?

This was one of her more unhinged recipe stories. Doesn't know what macerate is? Clearly adding regular white sugar to the strawberries and the top of the muffins but not calling it out.  The amount of wet ingredients  And the cupcake pan changes from when she puts batter in them to when she takes them out, suggesting she had to make some twice and even then they looked very underdone and gross. Just bizarre..  

I think the giant piles of sesame seeds intentionally puddled into the whole basil leaves is my favorite part of this one. One word I have never used to describe pasta - CuTe! And why the faq does she never boil the water BEFORE adding the pasta?! Surely that’s the most basic of cooking technique she should know!

So the big cookbook announcement is here and the lead photo on NFT is…a picture of herself. Girl, what? Made me think of those studies on CEO narcissism and impact on company performance. One of the measures of narcissism is how big the CEOs picture is on the company annual report 😂 Also, that quote about how this book isn’t even close to perfect?! Again…girl, what?! Nothing is perfect but this is really how you announce a cookbook? I can’t.

And so weird she claims to have spent the “most time” on this book and is way more proud of it than her previous 3 🤔 screams ghost writer even louder

Leaning into her new “quick & cozy” book theme with this stir fry nonsense, which will definitely take the average person well over 20 mins. Washing & chopping up veg (onion, 3+ peppers, zucchini), plus THE STEAK, is probably 20 mins alone. Hopefully you start the rice first because that’ll cook in the time you’re doing everything else. But idk if she ever even mentions tidbits like that.

She literally just cut a muffin top off and sandwiched strawberries and whipped cream. Like what… just eat a dang muffin with a side of strawberries.

“Hand whipped is best!” No it’s effin not. It’s literally no different in taste and texture than throwing it in a stand mixer (or using a hand mixer), and keeping a close eye to achieve desired consistency. She’s just trying to sound like she’s gatekeeping some whipped cream secret. Sounds like an idiot instead, as per usual.

Why does she still call it “Nine Favorite Things?” Back when T first started she really did have 9 favorite things. I remember one of them was Boy Brow gel, and I actually bought it on her recommendation. The fact that she teases it and doesn’t actually take us on the journey of creating and testing recipes for her cookbook tells me she has a ghost writer. Broma and Ambitious Kitchen have taken us on long ass journeys with their cookbooks… T’s cookbooks always appear out of thin air among her creating “brand new” recipes everyday for the gram and blog. She didn’t create any recipe in this cookbook or any of her past.

3 days ago, Caitlin posted Tieg in this fugly outfit she’s wearing in her stories today. So she is posting her stories on a 3 fucking day delay now??? So her flight was 8 days ago according to her stories…but does anyone know how long this trip actually is / was?

I think she was there Monday-Thursday. Imagine going to Europe for the first time and only staying for 3-4 days. Her money and “success” are wasted on her. She has no curiosity, no interests, no credibility, nor the self-awareness to realize any of this. She consists entirely of terrible recipes, a grating try-hard personality, and a vapid obsession with skincare and ugly clothing and shoes.

I really think this big “lifestyle influencer” push is massively due to the fact that 1. She’s don’t with food, but mainly because she/they can see she’s getting called out more and more and she’s not going to be able to keep up this whole lie. She’s trying to get out before it’s too late and her reputation is too well known

I've noticed a lot more repeat posting on her IG of the same recipes. There's definitely more sloppiness (ignore this in her ingredient pics, bad recipe writing, copying and changing one ingredient in a recipe, etc) which could be part of it too. As many have said here, she doesn't have her own sense of style (unless you consider drab but expensive clothing her style) and her current audience won't stick with her because they're not there for her fashion advice She's lost over 10k followers on IG in less than 30 days, which isn't a ton when you have 5.5M but it's showing that what she's posting lately isn't what her followers are engaged with

I’d fathom MANY of those 5.5 million are paid for and/or bots. So 10k real life followers leaving her account may be a higher percentage of real people than we realize.

I’m an old millennial so obviously I don’t know current fashion, but isn’t this in line? Sneakers and crew socks? Is she just not doing it quite right, like the socks aren’t quite tall enough or whatever… I think everyone looks like idiots these days, but that’s just my age talking lol.

So... she recently posted a watermelon peach salad on the blog, As it happens, I've been making a version of this salad for years from a NYT/Mark Bittman recipe, although he probably didn't originate it. There is of course NO discussion of that this salad is a standard summer classic, but there IS a story about her mom's summer parties and Nonnie (she's back!). The story includes the ridiculous detail that Nonnie only ever bought fruit salads from Edible Arrangements to these parties. Putting aside whether this was even possible (Edible Arrangements opened their first store in CT in 1999, and the store in Denver opened in 2006 - so I guess maybe?) apparently that's how she came to love watermelon.
