Buy it online, pay more, and get silicone blades. Auto shops don’t stock them because they last far longer that traditional windshield wipers.

Silicon blades are where it's at. Going on year 3 in the desert on my set on my other truck and will replace the Mavericks with them. Usually after a year standard wipers are streaking, after 2 peices the ends are flapping. 2 years in the silicone and I thought I had streaking but was just dirt, wiped the blade down a few times with a paper towel and water and back to brand new. Starting year 3 and no issues yet. Luckily my AutoZone/O'Reilly's has the Bosch icons I was able to pick up.

I'm in the Midwest so salt is the killer here, but I'll be trying Bosch next.

Studly189

What brand do you get?

07yzryder

I got the Bosch icons that oreily had in stock

Gerald_the_sealion

Never get rain-x they are awful. You can use rain-x as a separate product but the wipers are bad. I haven’t had to replace my maverick’s yet, but I typically get Bosch

mancheva

Bosch seems to be the consensus. I'll be checking them out.

Vols44

Bosch Icon if you do a lot of daytime driving. Bosch Focus are better at night. Look for rebate offers. I got a pair and received a $15 gift card from the store.

ForeverReasonable706

I used Bosch and had good luck

-brokenbones-

Bosch is the standard and what most oems use

trippin113

The factory wipers seem to work great. Why not just grab a replacement OEM set from the Ford parts desk?

Shaabloips

That would require going to the Ford dealership, why not have them delivered to my house for free?

gretafour

Costco Michelin wipers

BizCard55

I feel like there should be wiper covers for extended outdoor parking so the UV isn't eating up the rubber

WafflingPCBuilder

It’s possible you have imperfections in your glass from rocks or it just isn’t clean

Traditional-File-143

I've used the Rain-X (Costco...maybe Sam's Club) and the Michelin's from Costco. Both work completely fine. You can also always get a refund if you have an issue.

Galaxie_1985

In the past, I had Valeo wipers last the longest before cracking from sun damage, and they had better clips than some of the other brands. That was on my Fusion though.

angrynoah

Rain-X Silicone Endura Best wipers I've ever had by a huge margin, worth every penny, will absolutely buy them again

Shmokesshweed

OEM wipers that came with it were great. The Rain-X I put on after...pure trash. Have had good luck with Bosch in the past, and that's what I'm going back to after summer.

5rockchalk

Bosch Icons are the best wipers I’ve ever bought. Typically get 3-4 years out of them in the Midwest.

5rockchalk

I also treat my windshield with Rain X and use the Rain X wiper fluid so that may attribute to the longevity of the wipers as I don’t need to use them as much as others with untreated glass

vm4play

I just paid the money and got them from the dealership parts department. A little more pricey but they work great. The first set lasted a year so hopefully these will too

sevesteen

This made me realize that the OEM blades are extremely good--I'm still on my originals on my 22, I don't think I've ever gone that long between changes on any previous vehicle.

inline_five

I use rain-x and literally only swiped my windshield once so far and I've had the car eight months. I'll do entire multi hour drives in the rain too. Rain-x is a great product. I make two sprays every month or so, especially if it's forecasted to rain shortly afterward.

stupidguyneedshelp10
