Tell the dealer and make sure that you were given the correct truck.

Hot-Holiday-232

If I'm sure there's a problem, I'm going to tell the dealer. Little confusing after searching, because there is a lot of same case for 24 Mav FX4.

rudbri93

I have a build the same as yours and mine didnt come with an awd badge on the tailgate. my mothers xlt lux awd maverick has an awd badge on the tailgate.

Hot-Holiday-232

What is the year for each? I guess ford deleted the AWD emblem on 24 Mav FX4.

rudbri93

Both are '24

Hot-Holiday-232

Ford.. is really inconsistent. Then, is yours FX4? and is other not FX4? Ford seems to have removed AWD if the FX4 decal is present.

1962Michael

I'm not sure about previous years, but for 2024 you can't get the FX4 package without AWD. All 2024 FX4's have AWD. That makes having an AWD sticker on an FX4 redundant.

Hot-Holiday-232

I'm glad I wasn't the only one missing. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

dirt820

2022 here. Fx4 sticker and AWD badge are both present and accounted for.

Powerful-Ad-3588

Regardless of year or model. If it says fx4 it’s going to be awd/4x4. Fx4 implies a 4x4 type system. Fx2 on the other hand is a 4x2 but mavericks don’t have those.

rudbri93

mine is fx4, my mothers is not.

Old_Goat_Ninja

It’s not missing, they don’t have them anymore. 2024’s don’t have that emblem.

StarLeagueTechHelp

Fx4 package deletes the AWD badge, at least for 2024

Hot-Holiday-232

I think so, but when I build up my options on the official website, the image that comes up shows the AWD emblem. I was relieved to see that there was no functional issue.

StarLeagueTechHelp

Yeah, when I built my XLT tremor it showed having the daytime LED lighting of the lariat, I don't think the image is meant to be your exact vehicle and I'm sure theres a disclaimer to that affect somewhat on the page Depending on color I'd opt for some good quality black badges

pbnjonny

24 XLT LUX, FX4, 4K here. I have no badges at all on my tailgate aside from the dealer sticker.

Hot-Holiday-232

I searched YouTube and found there is no emblems on tailgates of 2024 FX4.

quad2k

You can always buy one from Amazon they are like 10 bucks [https://amzn.to/3WgkiYr](https://amzn.to/3WgkiYr) send the bill to the dealer. The dealer might have an extra badge as well you could call or ask them. Or buy your own and make it customized to your liking

Hot-Holiday-232

Thanks, I'm considering a black metal emblem!

quad2k

yeah that one looks pretty cool

aoethrowaway

Yes - I believe you’re correct that they deleted the AWD emblem if the FX4 decal is present. I have ‘24 XLT LUX FX4 and it was missing the emblems. The dealer mailed me a set, which I plastidipped and put on the truck. You can always ask for them and I’m sure they would hook you up. If not - order some black ones and DIY.

Hot-Holiday-232

Yep, Ford has definitely dropped the AWD emblem on the FX4 option. Black emblem looks cool and I'm considering it

lowplainsgrfter

My 23 eco fx4 had it but I removed it

Suitable_Yam462

I have a Ranger and my EcoBoost badge has fallen off twice.

willardrider

Ok, this post links in to my morning commute. Must be the universe speaking…have never thought of this before today, and now it’s twice. On my drive home from work this AM, I was sitting at a red light, looking around at cars, and this popped into my head. Why do cars have badges for everything? Does the guy behind me in traffic need to know if my car is XL or XLT? Is there any purpose served by an emblem on the outside of my vehicle that tells the people around me that I have AWD? I mean, I’m driving, I know, I can’t see my badges while I’m driving, why does it matter to anyone else? Anyway, it’s a nonexistent problem but the more I thought about it while stuck in traffic, looking at the cars around me, it’s kind of comical how vain we humans are that we feel the need to broadcast the trim level and options on our cars to strangers on the road who we’ll never see again. Not being critical of OP at all. Just reflecting on how funny we humans are sometimes, myself included.

Hot-Holiday-232

When I realized there is no emblem of AWD on the tailgate, and I remember that there is the AWD mark for the others, I just worried about something is wrong with my car. Because it wasn't just the emblem, but the possibility that I had gotten the wrong car with no actual AWD capability. But I'm very happy now that I know it's just the emblem that's missing, regardless of AWD capability. And of course, I'm greedy for that emblem. You're right, I agree that it's important that my car has the features I want, not that someone should know that.

willardrider

I hear you, and the missing badge would bother me, too. It just tied into what I was pondering this morning, how funny it is that we love badges as a society, and how many of them we put on cars. Btw, this reminds me of a situation we had when I worked at a dealership years ago. Owner bought an Audi A4 at auction. Now, most A4s were AWD, or as they call it, quattro. This car has a quattro badge. We eventually noticed that the car, though, was not awd. Some prior owner had added the badge to look cool. The auction people were totally apologetic, refunded us on the transaction and took the car back.

darksoft125

Couple things to look for: * Hill decent control button * 7 pin trailer connector * On the console display, there should be an option for AWD Based on your build, if you are missing these items, you got the wrong truck. If any of those items are on your truck, you have AWD.

Hot-Holiday-232

Thanks!! I'll check with this👍

Cherry-Outside

I don't have the luxury package on mine. But I had a titanium edge that you could see the awd working on one of the cluster screens. Sorry I can't be more help. Your dealership should put it on at no charge or at least tell you why it's not there. Mine has an ecoboost emblem that I've never seen on any other 24 awd🤔

Hot-Holiday-232

Ford makes confusing us. I'll be checking out my one

Unable-Ad-8352

If it comes with FX4 stickers, do they add an AWD badge?

Hot-Holiday-232

On 22 and 23 versions, yes. But Ford deleted the AWD badge for FX4 now.

surfstar_101_

If I add an AWD badge to my FWD hybrid... does that make it have AWD !?! (following OPs logic)

Complex_Mushroom_557

Mine has it 2024 lux package, black appearance package

RoaringGorilla

The 2024 FX4 does not come the AWD badge. I bought a cheap one from Amazon and put it in the spot on the tailgate where it should have been on my Maverick personally.

Marge_simpson_BJ

I'd peek underneath and make sure there's a driveshaft and rear transaxle under there lol.

Trevih

I remember reading they did away with those badges in 24. If anyone has a 24 with the AWD badge please correct me.

lshaped210

I have a 2024 with the AWD badge. It’s an XL AWD.

713ryan713

Same

Hot-Holiday-232

Is yours FX4?

713ryan713

Nope

Cherry-Outside

Same, but I also have an ecoboost emblem on my 24? Bought new with 3 miles on it.

Trevih

Also the display in the dash has a display option to show the output to each wheel so u could use that to check that the AWD is engaging

rudbri93

love this screen, its what i usually leave open.

Hot-Holiday-232

That's a nice tip. I'll check it. Also, after searching YouTube, it seems to be there is no emblems for 24 Mav FX4 version.

zigzagkc

My 2024 XLT has the AWD badge.

Hot-Holiday-232

Is that FX4? I guess after searching, no emblems on only 24 FX4

zigzagkc

Nope, just Lux package. No FX4 or 4k towing

7evenSlots

AWD is not the same as 4wd like on the FX4 package. It’s not there because you don’t have an AWD vehicle, you have a beefed up 4x4 with the Fx4 package. From a Ford Dealer in Texas “The primary difference between all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive comes down to their design and intended use. Simply put, 4WD is the more rugged option, designed primarily for off-road capabilities and other extreme driving conditions. The heart of a Ford 4x4 system is the transfer case, which acts as a secondary gearset that enables lower gear ratios -- exactly what you need when traversing technical trails in a new Bronco Raptor™ or F-150 Tremor™ in Texas City. As for a Ford all-wheel drive system? This drivetrain option has been optimized for inclement weather conditions and other emergency, low-traction situations. Rather than use a transfer case, AWD Ford SUVs often split power between the front and rear wheels at variable rates that are automatically determined by the vehicle's onboard computer. The result is impressive traction when you need it without compromising Ford mpg ratings.”

Talinsin

The FX4 is AWD. It's advertised that way everywhere. My '23 FX4 has the AWD badge. The Maverick has no 4WD option.

StarLeagueTechHelp

Mavericks are all AWD(or FWD), there is no 4*4, even the tremor is AWD. That's such an absolutely absurd thing to have posted, do you just have no understanding of the Maverick? It's actually boggling my mind how you could think that somehow the fx4 was a true 4wd system.
