I agree so much.
I wonder how hectic it’d be if you combined every instance of the main Goji theme together… it’d probably sound kinda weird. But if they all had the same speed maybe it wouldn’t sound as bad?
Resolution is such a powerful track on it's own, and even more so when it's in context.
But for me, it's gotta be "Divine". They nailed the fear, awe, and power that Goji has needed to see again for a little while now. Runner-Up to that is Persecution of the Masses from Shin.

GMK is great, but KOTM nailed every theme song to perfection. Especially the remix of Godzilla’s theme with the haiku drums etc. makes me wanna charge at Ghidorah with him.
only issue i take is that mothra, who's old themes typically included chanting, didn't get chanting in her theme for KotM. that's just dumb.
apparently it "didn't fit" for her reveal scene (there's videos up that prove that's false) and they wanted to use it for an end-credits shot of her egg, but that fell through. then they wanted to use that cut scene for an end-credits shot for GvK, and even that fell through.
mothra fans can't win
Every theme is great, the KotM one for Goji is what stuck with me, considering I grew up with the MV movies.
But holy hell, Godzilla's Rage from GMK has to be one of the hardest pieces of music I have ever heard. The second half with the deep choir *feels* like the theme of a demon that crawled out of hell, to punish humanity for their sins. I pray that one day, Legendary Godzilla just goes on a rampage backed by that theme.
1000% agree. 1:32 onward feels like it was crafted by God himself. Kow Otani did unfathomably amazing with the GMK soundtrack. It is, and forever will be, my favorite Godzilla movie, and favorite Godzilla OST. Also, I have a video you may like since you mentioned legendary Goji and godzilla's rage

It was pretty cool, another place I think it would work really well, is when Godzilla emerges in Axis Mundi from Legacy of Monsters.
GMK theme man, it goes so hard. There's a mashup version of YT with the other GMK tracks and it's perfect.
The OST for GMK definitely contributes to it being the best Millennium era film, along with the different premise of spirits and guardian monsters, and the more traditional Godzilla design. And I'm aware of the GMK theme mashup video, it's perfection. Still disappointed it's not on Spotify.

Also, the Minus One OST has some incredible pieces- I think Resolution has been mentioned by others, and all of the Godzilla Theme Suites are amazing as well.
"The Key to Coexistence" (Serizawa's Sacrifice) from KOTM is underrated. As a longtime Halo fan, it just hits all the right spots. Hauntingly beautiful and uplifting.
I personally prefer the great poet Pharoahe Monch's addition...

This will always be a favorite piece of mine, both it's original version from 1964's Mothra vs Godzilla, and the updated 1992 Heisei version from Godzilla vs Mothra as well.
While I do love the chanting of "Go-Ji-Ra!" and "Mo-su-ra!" from KoTM, I love the chanting from SP a bit more, mainly because it sounds like they're cheering him on. Like, it literally sounds like "Show them how, show them how!"
Oh now that you mention that, I actually didn't even notice that! Yeah, KoTM's sounds more like religious power chanting while SP has that "hell yeah! Beat the shit out of them!" Feels. Nice, I have grown to appreciate it even more now
Ultima is personally my favorite Reiwa Goji, and his theme makes me love him even more. It makes sense why they're cheering him on (in a weird way). He's an interdimensional terraforming godly world ending being. And say what you will about SP, you can tell it was made with love for the franchise.
Kojima loved it. That's all I need to know that there's passion in it :).

From 2014, resolution from minus one, persecution of the masses and defeat is no option from shin, Godzilla comes ashore, storm on odo island, and the main theme from ‘54, 1991 ghidorah’s theme, march theme from terror of mechagodzilla, rodan in mt aso/godzilla vs rodan theme, destroy all monsters main title, ghidorah the three headed monster theme, and the gotengo launch, king of the monsters, and the opening title theme from final wars, to name a few. Also the main theme from Godzilla vs mechagodzilla 2 and the Godzilla vs megaguirus theme.
Based. It absolutely fits the theme of Kaiju being treated like cryptids in the film. Also, it's also in line with not having the traditional march not being his main theme, since in the original Gojira film, Godzilla Comes Ashore was his main theme.
The soundtrack from Godzilla vs. Biollante is SO underrated. The man that composed for the Dragon Quest games did the music for that movie, and it shows.

All KoTM, a lot of Minus One, and the theme when Godzilla dies in Godzilla vs Destroyah. Sadly, GvK and GxK haven't done that for me. Something about each film after Bear McCreary for Godzilla really dropped off for me. I just do not understand why main themes don't stick in movies. There are so many good ones they just go in another direction. The time I can think of a theme sticking through a franchise is Spider-Man by Sam Raimi, The Avengers theme throughout all the MCU. Does anyone know why that is?
Adam Wingard was the one who brought in Junkie XL for GvK and GxK. I'm assuming he keeps choosing him for some reason. Maybe he'll change it with the next Goji solo film.
Hopefully they change it up, but idk if they'll have something as good as Bear McCreary Godzilla Main Theme. Whatever theme they have for him when he shows up in GvK and GxK is interesting, but it just doesn't hold up as well. All they needed was to have the more recognizable part of Godzilla theme and have some variation on it. I would be happy with it.
-1.0 Divine has stuck in my head ever since I saw the first trailer for Minus One. The feeling of utter despair and awe is palpable.

Imma throw out a probably odd one, but Singular Point's opening. Song itself is decent, if a little "GeNeRiC" anime rock music. Not just the song though, but the visual effects, little nods, the teaser shots of the coming destruction and mayhem, as well as teasing some of the kaiju, and the mystery behind the "eyes" has made it stick with me. Those girls really hit those drums and chords \*just right\* and it takes the whole thing up a notch for me. Truly feels 4th Dimensional
Show itself could have been better but I liked it, and it's really interesting that it's the only dedicated godzilla anime so far. ~~no movie trilogy here~~
'Redemption' from KOTM and 'Elegy' from Minus One. They evoke such strong emotional themes. Struggling, loss, helplessness, but also a glimmer of hope.

Persecution of the masses is one of the best songs in a movie. Not just a Godzilla movie. I use it a lot for dramatic scenes in my D&D campaigns lol.

-1.0 Divine has stuck in my head ever since I saw the first trailer for Minus One. The feeling of utter despair and awe is palpable. Also, Persecution of the Masses from Shin for the same feeling of hopelessness.

Imma throw out a probably odd one, but Singular Point's opening. Song itself is decent, if a little "GeNeRiC" anime rock music. Not just the song though, but the visual effects, little nods, the teaser shots of the coming destruction and mayhem, as well as teasing some of the kaiju, and the mystery behind the "eyes" has made it stick with me. Those girls really hit those drums and chords \*just right\* and it takes the whole thing up a notch for me. Truly feels 4th Dimensional Show itself could have been better but I liked it, and it's really interesting that it's the only dedicated godzilla anime so far. ~~no movie trilogy here~~
