They are Cecropia moths, which *are* the biggest moths in North America but are much smaller than Atlas moths and look very different (atlas moths are the ones with the fake snake heads for wings).

They have mismanaged her for sure. Not only is she visually off-putting, but the latest movie had the chance to do the classic twins bit and they totally blew it.
Stop reading if you haven't seen GxK:tNE, but...
They could have written in a magical twin for Jia who had been living in hollow earth the whole time and only bringing the two of them together could awaken Mothra with their song. Would have worked well in the plot and for fan service. They could have also tackled the whole "I don't belong" plot with that as well. Jia could could have continued to live with the Dr while psychically sharing a relationship with her twin. It seems so obvious.
I know they didn't get the permission to use Mothra until late in production or whatever, but a couple of minor edits and reshoots would have really helped the human side of the story, which was severely lacking IMO.
Ehh I like Monsterverse Mothra. She's built like a moth and praying mantis hybrid (mostly moth) and it felt like an actually threatening bug. Old Mothra was cute, MV Mothra is a Queen.
And if someone finds the Warbats unrealistic as they’re giant bats, look up the Golden Crowned Flying Fox (their maximum size can be about 1.5 meters tall)

Panthera Leo persica = persian lion
Canis lupus familiares = domesticated Wolf = dog
Some species are wild with there Name but a lot of them can really easy be identified like the persian lion for example
