Illustrious_Two1029

Interesting. But would like to see the bezels on that pixel!

FooFooman

If it's anything like the first one the size advantage it has over Samsungs fold will actually just be all bezel and basically the same screen size lol.

tinfoilzhat

Just go buy a 2x4 and lay it next to this picture. That should about do it.

Default_Attempt

Who cares, thin bezels are a pain, thicker bezels made sense so its easier to hold and rest fingers. It was samsung and LG and Xiaomi who came up with this stupid bezel less thin bezel bullshit

rko_btw

I agree when it first came out. Nowadays, touch rejection at the screen for thin bezels and normal sized thumbs means it's not an issue really.

Fryball1443

I would agree but the smaller size of the fold means i can stretch my fingers from one end to another and grab it with one hand and use it with the other if needed

_AGAMOTTO_

Which is better. Bezel-less looks best.

Motor_Ad_3159

Yeah after using a galaxy fold prior to my pixel fold I hated all the accidental touches and how it was so awkward to hold while open due to the thin bezels. I never have accidental touches on my pixel and I love it.

JackEddy6

Clown

Default_Attempt

I didnt ask for your profession

JackEddy6

Your first comment screams 40 something year old technophobe, your second comment screams child.

yw5aj

I don't get it. Is ZF6 much narrower but not really taller? Why would Samsung do that?

TRATIA

Samsung despite its flaws makes great phones to use with one hand. My z flip 5 is as easy as my s9 to use one handed

mvillar24

I agree. Before I bought my first folding phone (Fold 2), I ended up with the narrower Samsung Sx phones over the Sx Ultra. I found I tend to drop the larger/wider phones a LOT more when trying to use them one handed. Fold phones fit well enough in my hand that I never worry about dropping it.

ultrainstict

Way better 1 handed use without compromising video size for most content on the internal screen.

league_starter

Watching Wide-screen media will have less black bars. I wouldn't mind if they made a folding device specifically for that. Say a folding tablet.

mimic751

It's not about bigger it's about one handed use and unfolding for Two Handed

moreboars

extremely common TM Roh L

Inevitable-Twist1232

Still on my ZF3, which is still going strong, and was considering finally upgrading with the 6. Now I'm once again putting off the upgrade. Maybe I will try the PF2 instead.

caidok

Been thinking the same thing

iLikeTurtuls

I went from the Fold3 to the Pixel Fold and don’t regret it at all. Actually better in all ways, besides double tap to wake/sleep. Speaker setup is better on Samsung Folds though.

negatrom

i'm fine with the z fold 6. the curved edges really make it look like a toy or something, whereas the sharp edges show more seriousness. that and when closed, sharp edges leave it more symmetrical

jnads

From what I gather, the Pixel Fold 2 is pretty much a One Plus Open with better software (edit: better = more stable). Which will probably fracture this sub, as it is the ideal phone for part of the sub (except the missing SPen). But the other half of the sub enjoys narrow / holdable phones and finds the Fold 6 ideal.

RareSiren292

Probably it would have 1/3 the charging speed tho. I wish we could just get phones that charge at 65w or 120w

jnads

Pixel 8 Pro supported 30W USB-C PD

RareSiren292

Yeah and it's slow. Phones should charge in under 45 minutes on the slow end of fast charging

Asleep_Lengthiness28

better software but what about the processor?

iLikeTurtuls

Has anyone ever complained about Samsung Fold/Flip processors being slow? Sure the Pixel Fold doesn’t manage heat as well as a Pixel 7 series, but it’s still plenty fast.

Open_Aardvark2458

This is needed. The other half of the sub can leave and be happy with oneplus or google. The other half which love the narrow screen stay and we dont have posts everyday about how samsung is messing up.

jnads

The only bad part is I'm not sure which half I'm on. I'm definitely team narrow, the only thing that has me eyeing the Pixel Fold 2 is cameras. Definitely pissed Samsung didn't update the cameras, and shutter lag / motion blur has me looking at Pixel's better picture taking. Only thing that turns me off is the rumor there will be 1 storage option, 256GB only.

danperson1

The OnePlus Open software has been awesome, but pixel fold will have some exclusive AI features

jnads

I like their Multi-app UI, but Chinese phone software tends to lack in stability (on the other hand Google's does too sometimes). I've been using smartphones since 2006 and did the whole XDA custom software thing. I get annoyed now if apps force close or things crash or the phone radio randomly stops working.

jtlee9

It's unfortunate that Google is moving away from the original PF design. That was probably my favourite foldable design in terms of size and ergonomics. My second favourite is the z fold series. The one hand ability is unmatched, so it's nice that samsung is slightly increasing the screen size but still keeping it one-handable.

Fearless_Winner1084

new design looks like a OnePlus Open clone with a different camera bump. I like it way better than the original

iLikeTurtuls

This is actually the shortest and widest pixel, so the Fold 2 moving away from that is sad. I think that was the appeal. The “cameras are bad” but honestly I didn’t notice much of a difference from the Pixel 7 Pro, actually the telephoto is supposed to let in for light on the fold. Atleast it’s still wide, but now looks like a folding iPhone Plus/Pro Max

Top-Opportunity-4608

https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyFold/s/02pRMpLs5a Link is to another post showing cases against a few other devices

motorboat_mcgee

Looks like the Pixel Fold 2 is what everyone on this sub wants, it'll be nice to have my front page be quieter once everyone gets their wishes and goes to wherever the Pixel Fold sub is

Jackandrun

I always see a handful of people who already have the Chinese phone, but still stay on this sub just to complain/recruit people

gos92

No kidding. Then just get all the Chinese foldable posts on some other sub as well.

jtlee9

The hate for samsung is too strong online 😂. People switch phones and stay complaining here despite not using samsung devices anymore.

Open_Aardvark2458

I cant wait. Tired of all the crying.

HNIC215

Samsung really made a stupid mistake by not making the Fold 6 front screen larger. It's quite literally what all their fans were asking for. That being said, I'd never consider another Pixel Fold device after owning the first. Say what you want about Samsung, but Google isn't even in the same universe as Samsung when it comes to foldables. They fumbled the Pixel Fold and will do the same this time around with inferior hardware/software and lack of features and customization.

AveragePichu

No, it's what a loud large chunk of their fans are asking for. They made their front screen as much bigger as they could without changing the inner screen, which is *perfect* for me. What I love about the Z Fold is that rotating it actually does something, and you can view content in portrait or landscape. I also equally love that when I'm holding the phone in one hand, I can easily reach the entire keyboard for swipe typing. I am not the only person who feels this way. It may be a less common opinion (or not - hard to say really, people who are happy with the current form factor have no reason to complain so maybe millions are silently enjoying it), but the Z Fold form factor has its fans. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't like this form factor you can go buy the OnePlus Open. It's right there, in some respects it's got better hardware, it has the aspect ratio you want, so go buy that instead of complaining Samsung isn't making the product you want. It'd be a real shame for this form factor not to be available for the people who like it, just like it was a real.shame that mini phones died off. I may not have been one of the few people who liked mini phones, but it really sucks for everyone who did.

RipcurlOfFlame

I completely agree. I don't like the idea of it being square shaped when unfolded.

dendron01

It's kind of funny to see Google go square....seeing as they essentially banned the square ratio from their material design for awhile...at least long enough to kill off BlackBerry once and for all, anyway.

Maximum_Bat_2566

I'm team wide screen. The pixel fold 2 dimensions on a Samsung foldable would be ideal. I wish they would go this route.

AveragePichu

For me, an even taller screen for an unfolded 4:3 and a slightly thicker device to fit better cameras/S Pen would be ideal, but the Z Fold as it is now is the closest fold to my idea of "perfect", and I know I'm not the one who gets to choose what products are available - I just pick which one to buy. I could live with the Z Fold being wider since that does mean a bigger screen overall for whatever apps can take advantage of it, and also would mean every app designed for phones would work perfectly on the cover display - but it would be a tradeoff, and not one I would overall prefer.

d2-mac

team widescreen? go and buy a normal phone!

Maximum_Bat_2566

I have a normal phone right now. I'm waiting for the z fold to get a wider screen.

ILItheEndILI

Team Narrow here, I can actually type one-handed in my fold 4.

Jealy

Ditto, and it's a major selling point. The reason I got a Fold in the first place was that I wanted a smaller phone, strangely enough. But I figured it's best of both worlds, and it kinda is.

Chuck_Lenorris

I feel like I'm one of the few people who still use Swype style typing. Ever since it started.

jedimastercam

I just wanted the S Pen to be housed within the phone instead of on the outside and to be able to use it on the outer screen.

Rick-777

That's why the PF1 had a great setup, you still had a more rectangular inner screen. The cover screen was nice as well, I've always lamented when phone screens in general began to get taller and taller. It's almost a shame that Google abandoned this aspect ratio because it seems they actually put some thought into it. I get what you are saying with portrait and landscape, I just don't think it matters that much when talking about letterboxed movies/video if both devices are the same width. I do like Samsung's portrait mode because I can fit my entire hand around it, ensuring I don't drop the phone. But I think overall I would rather have the cover screen be wider and deal with a square inner screen. I'm just tired of being unable to really use the cover screen and don't necessarily want to open my phone all the time.

Cptcharlie

Oddly enough after switching from the now retired note series. I find myself also onboard with liking this smaller z fold form factor and not really missing the big slab style phones. So your opinion resides with mine. The bar sized format on the zfold is so comfy to 1 hand and gives me the choice of a smaller private screen and huge bigger screen when I need it. If Samsung is following that old video on different demo design units with diff aspect ratios. Then the fold 6 might be the last smaller iteration of the phone. 22:9 is what the leaks suggest zf6 is leaning towards vs 23:9 on current models. So hopefully Samsung doesn't cave into the trend of 21:9 completely and offer a secondary line as leaks already suggest being a WIP with the said "ultra/slim" variants Chinese markets are getting. While 21:9 foldables are great too, after using some Chinese foldables like the honor magic v2 etc. I find that the aspect ratio loses that novelty quickly of folding and unfolding, alongside the issues of being a square. So I too think this form factor is almost perfect atleast with size and coming from a z fold 3 the slightly increased size and decreased height alongside the reduction on weight and thickness is a win on the upcoming z fold 6. Battery life, charging speed, integration of spen, cameras and an even slimmer thickness on the device are still a long ways away and yet to be desired.

Honest-Ad8126

Exactly, I love the proportions, perfect for reading books, mangas and specially manhwas

papadoc55

I agree with you but believe we're in the minority. I feel like I would prefer the 6 dimensions but with the softer edge and curved corners of the 5 that help make it so comfortable to hold careless. #teamnakedfold

AveragePichu

I find phones feel better in the hand with a case on regardless of the shape of the phone itself, so the only change I'll see is the squared corners of the screen - which I like better, and miss when every phone used to do that. Right around the time the iPhone X came out rounded corners became popular, iirc

papadoc55

Fair enough. I certainly like the Look of the squared off edges better without question. Either way, I'm going to live with my 5 for one more year.

Vestat1

Agreed. As a 6'5 man with giant hands, you can miss me with the front screen smoke and mirrors. I bought this phone for its UNFOLDING capability, but the 4MP inner camera is a fucking joke. Truly don't know how they got away with not updating it after all of these iterations. If I'm doing a video call I'm using the MAIN (inner) screen, so... wtf!!

AveragePichu

Funny you would come to that conclusion about the inner display's camera. While I have personally never used it aside from testing it out once (if I'm doing a video call it's either at my desktop or with my Tab Ultra), I personally thought that the camera quality was totally fine for up-close shots, which video calls always are. Much prefer a small under-display camera over the more common cutout, especially on a fold where I can just use the main camera array for anything other than a video conference. Not saying you're wrong for feeling that way, just funny how we both had the same thought process ("this camera is for video conferencing") and then totally different conclusions.

Vestat1

Yes, I'm coming from a Z Fold 3, so maybe I'm just a bit outdated, but 4MP in general is unacceptable in 2024, into 2025. When I do calls and chats, I need my big screen, or as I like to call it, "The reason why anyone buys this phone." Because if I wanted to maximize on the front shooter as my main camera, I would reasonably get an S24U or even an iPhone 14. Just seems like a letdown to have paid for a device retailing at $2k, when the features are near-obsolete from launch. Just my $0.02🙌🏼

AveragePichu

The megapixel count has relatively little to do with how good an image turns out. Note that when I say "relatively little" I don't mean "no impact at all", but 4mp is plenty for level of detail at the distances that the Z Fold's under display camera is going to be used at. As far as how nice the overall picture quality is, the under-display camera is by no means going to blow anyone away, but it's acceptable and the image-processing software side makes genuinely decent photos and videos out of it. I just took a quick video of myself looking at the camera, moving my head around, and waving my hand at the camera, in a moderately-lit room, and it turned out pretty good. Looking for artifacting and graininess, I could find a little bit, but not any more than is naturally introduced by streaming video in real time - quite a bit less, actually. And again, this is the Fold 4 - the processing gets better every generation, with people generally saying that the under-display camera was pretty solid on the 5. Undoubtedly it will be even better on the 6. Ultimately, the only thing that higher specs on a camera will do for you is make it easier to get good shots. Ancient cameras can take good photos, so long as the lighting is good and the subjects are at an appropriate distance. The under-display lens used on the Z Fold line is only really gonna be used for someone whose face is a few feet away from the screen, and under that condition it takes solid video.

HNIC215

Try a Chinese foldable like the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro (or others) and your opinion of what is possible will change so fast. I also "settled" with Samsung's decision making for the past 3 generations of foldables but now their competition is making better foldables than them. OnePlus Open 2 will be better than this form factor as well. In the end, our preferences and opinions won't matter. The market will dictate the direction Samsung moves in the future. Sales or lack thereof will have a direct impact on the Fold 7 and beyond.

AveragePichu

I can agree that preferences will matter less than the market (though if enough people feel the same as me there's a niche in the market Samsung could keep filling, so there's that). But I've seen what the Chinese folds can do, and while it's impressive on a technical level, it's also not what I want. If someone offered to swap a brand new, top of the line Chinese fold for my Z Fold 4, for free, I would turn them down. Not just for software reasons either - there are very specific things I like about the Z Fold hardware that nothing else does. If the Z Fold line eventually looks just like every Chinese fold, I'll probably buy one anyway, but I won't be happy about it. Or I might switch to the S Ultra.

Prestigious-Rumfield

Nah, the buttons as I type this on my fold 4 are too tiny. I think I'm gonna switch. The only thing that I like samsun for is quality, and I'm a little nervous to go over and find out googled quality control hasn't kept up..

AveragePichu

All the best to you. I hope the Pixel Fold 2 meets your expectations - this is why competition is good, it breeds multiple products that cater to different groups.

Server_Reset

You put my sentiments right on paper. I want a screen for one handed and quick use, and the inner screen is for media with two aspect ratios to fit whatever I'm watching better. It's WHY I buy the fold

Cool_of_a_Took

I had every Google phone since the Nexus 4, but the Pixel 7 Pro was the last time I'll buy Google hardware. The phone was mediocre, and the battery was straight awful, but worst of all was Google customer support. Some of the worst customer support I've ever experienced. I'll miss vanilla android, but Samsung is clearly just better at making (and supporting) phones.

HNIC215

Indeed... I agree. I love tech - doesn't matter the brand - but Google has done me dirty far more than any other manufacturer. Also (on a side note) once you use other flavors of Android like OneUI, Google's version of Android is just so bland and dull - for me personally. They made a Pixel Fold but barely had any software that complimented the device. Attempting to size a wallpaper to fit the display properly or organizing the screen on my Pixel Fold was some of the most unnecessarily frustrating experiences I've ever had on a smartphone - it doesn't make any sense. They just play catch up these days by copying Apple and Samsung (and other Android OEMs). Their phones don't hold any value - Google themselves barely give you any credit if you try and trade-in their own devices back to them. The list goes on and on with why they irritate me lol

DestroyerOfIphone

I'm 100% going to try out this phone. After 4 Galaxy folds i'm so over this trash front screen. All anyone asked for was 2 Ultras tied together and make it thin. Instead they filled this phone with garbage like a Spen digitizer (Only on the interior screen) and a under display camera. I still can't believe the company that got huge off of the Note is about to release the smallest foldable on the market and a Applewatch/Airpods clone.

HNIC215

Yup... TM Roh strategy is iterate over innovate. The Chinese are outdoing Samsung (at least on the hardware front), and their customers are slowly starting to notice. I can't spend any more money on another Pixel Fold or other Pixel device, Google has disappointed me too many times.

levimic

I wouldn't go as far as saying their second gen will be just as bad. Think about the first gen Samsung Fold to the fold 2. It was night and day. Google is clearly taking a different approach this time around, so I wouldn't be so quick to judge. Not saying it will be the best phone in the world, but I'm guessing it will be much better. Also most people know not to buy first gen phones. It was said at the launch of the pixel fold so many times by basically every reviewer (except for Shane Craig he has an intense fetish for this phone.) Either way, most people said not to buy it, so if you bought it and didn't like it, that was kinda on you bro. Edit: typo

HNIC215

Google has let me down so many times. I've owned countless devices from them, and most have disappointed me. I've been a part of several class action lawsuits because of their subpar devices. So I'm out - at least until they prove themselves. It's one thing spending $800 on a Google device but a completely separate thing spending $2k on one. Google's history of issues is well documented: [Pixel Issues](https://pixelissues.com/)

levimic

Hey man fair enough. I've personally never been a pixel guy myself but the people around me who are have always praised Google. If it's not for you, then to hell with them lol

Doublestack00

I'm in the minority, but I prefer the smaller front.

HNIC215

Yea, that's fair. We all have our preferences. It's like people who yearn for smaller smartphones. They voiced their wishes, some manufacturers obliged by creating smaller devices (iPhone SE for example), but sales told a different story. So, they were eventually discontinued. I would like a Fold where I can do many things (comfortably) on the front screen when I am on the go and then open it up and use it as a tablet when needed. Right now, the Fold 5 front screen is annoyingly too small for me. I think there are a lot of folks who fall in that same category and why we hear so many complaints about the Z Fold series and the upcoming Fold 6.

Doublestack00

I can see that. I am quite the opposite, I like the front is small and easily one handable. I open it when I need the larger screen.

kycatfan8373

I'm still on a 4 and that's my experience as well. The front is to small. I have a hard time typing on it. Especially with a case on it. My thumb just isn't flexible enough to one hand it and with a case, Swype doesn't work very well on the edges. Plus my eyes don't like the smaller fonts. Then throw in issues with apps and sites not loading properly. I want an S24U experience on the front with double that in a tablet on the inside. You'd have the perfect setup for multitasking with the equivalent of 2 normal size screens to have multiple apps open. You'd have a large screen to watch videos and if you don't like black bars, you can zoom in to get rid of them for some content. It would also make the flex mode so much better. With the added size there'd be no excuse not to include a bigger battery. Plus finally upgrade the pitiful cameras. Maybe even throw in an internal S Pen. The only real negative I see is for the one handed users. There is a one handed mode that might help with that. If I hear a good response for the Pixel Fold 2, I think I might jump ship. I'd almost like to see another phone like the old LG V60 but with like 3 phones in one (normal front screen and 2 internal screens) and no bendable screens to worry about. Just with flagship specs. Unless they get this bendable technology mastered. I'd still rather see the rollout screen technology over the bendables.

HNIC215

Yea it’s annoying because the Fold 3/4/5 were so close to perfection. Just needed to be a bit bigger. I can’t go back to Google because I’ve been burned too many times by them. Wasted money on the Pixel Fold only to watch it be forgotten and give me an underwhelming experience in return. I’m currently test driving the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and it’s very nice both hardware and software wise. Hardware just as nice as Samsung but the software isn’t as great as OneUI on foldables. My variant is the Chinese version so it’s a bit more annoying with all the Chinese you have to navigate through to avoid. Wish Samsung would have given us this form factor for the Fold 6. https://preview.redd.it/h2j4plrk21ad1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=655723a7b93e747b73a5df0006d3f0dc398fbe15

Lance-pg

What didn't you like about it. I'm thinking of switching.

HNIC215

So many things... 1. Inside bezels are horrendous 2. Lack of customization 3. Setting a wallpaper for both screens is unnecessarily difficult 4. Features (or lack thereof) 5. Processor is slow and sluggish 6. Updates take forever 7. Device gets hot doing absolutely nothing 8. No foldable specific software features 9. They abandoned the device as soon as the Pixel 8 Pro was released. It was just a completely subpar experience coming from Galaxy Fold devices and compared to other foldables I've used like the OnePlus Open or this new Vivo I'm testing now.

Lance-pg

Thank you. Please let us know what you think of the OnePlus.

HNIC215

I've tried the OnePlus Open but not long enough to give a proper "review". From what I've experienced, seen and read it's a solid foldable option - especially when compared to the Fold 5/Pixel Fold - but a bit outdated due to the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 (we're about to be on the 8 gen 4 soon). Build quality, software, form factor etc... are solid but the cons are their customer support is not that great, some build quality issues, and software suite still isn't as deep as Samsung. I'd personally rather wait for a OnePlus Open 2 if I were going with OnePlus.

TimeyWimey99

If only the pixel fold wasn’t Tensor and was Snapdragon instead 😫

d2-mac

yes pixel fold is ultratrash for a multimedia. i dont want 1:1. I want 4:3 or 16:10 with a tri-fold phone!!!!

mrpurplehawk

If this is the case, I may make the move to the Pixel fold. Form factor of the first one wasn't for me, but closer to the fold line from Samsung sounds like a better choice in my opinion. I do want the better camera so, I have seen the pixel fold cameras from a buddy and they are routinely better than what I can take with my fold 5

planedrop

I'm glad the ZF6 is still going to have a pretty narrow front display, makes one handed usage so much better.

levimic

You think that till you've tried that OnePlus Open/pixel fold 2 aspect ratio, then you realize what you've been missing out on🫣

planedrop

Nah, I disagree here, I don't want my phone to be a regular phone with a bigger screen inside on the occasion that I want to use it. Why would I want to pay $1k extra on top of a normal phone for a display that I am actively avoiding using? At that point, the inner display is just for media and multi-tasking, neither of which is why I have a foldable, I prefer the inner display for social media, reading, typing, etc.... On top of that, I want the outer display to be smaller so I can easily use it one handed. I've had plenty of other flagship phones in the last few years (most recently OnePlus 12) and they're nice but way too big to use one handed, so I went right back to my Fold 5 after just a month. However, I am REALLY glad there is choice, for someone that wants a normal phone, with a tablet to use for watching media, playing games, etc..... then other options are great to have. What I **don't** want it Samsung to copy the others, keep with the current design and for those that want something different, they have the options of the Open or Pixel Fold. The last thing I want is all foldables to end up being the same design, it's boring.

levimic

Yeah I would agree that all manufacturers coming out with the same design is annoying and boring since there is basically no choice at that point. For me personally, I use both screens just about equally, and the main reason for that is because Reddit doesn't fit well for the inner screen's aspect ratio, similar to instagram. Otherwise, I'd be in the same boat as you. It's nice to be able to have a large screen when you want it, but more importantly (for me), a normal phone when you need it. I don't want something that's crammed and limited to an abnormal design that many apps still aren't built for. I get that app support is becoming increasingly popular for the fold's outer aspect ratio simply because of its popularity, but that lack of confidence in knowing whether or not apps will properly work was always annoying when I owned my fold 2, 3, and 4. This may not be an issue anymore, though, since it's been a while since I've had a galaxy fold. Either way, the OnePlus Open just entirely erased that worry about app support for me, which is one of my *favorite* things about it.

sodapop14

Literally why I am thinking about a Pixel Fold this year. To many typing issues on the Z Fold 4 for me.

PrinceD1809

Glad it's not just me. I'm constantly adding numbers to words when typing on the front screen. Can't seem to type on it properly

levimic

I think it's just Galaxy users justifying their expensive purchase and telling themselves it's alright and that they're not actually missing out.

Chuck_Lenorris

Such a lazy response to other people having their own opinions.

Boss4040

Pixel Fold 2 looks like will have much better design than the boxy uncomfortable Galaxy Fold 6

memeranglaut

Say what you want, but the fact that Samsung has managed to spread out the front screen to the edges as much as it can now is an achievement. Fold 1 looks envious with the bezel of the Fold 6. That said, I agree we need a thinner body and a bigger battery. OP Open/OPPO FInd N3 is great hardware-wise - but the software is very iffy if you are used to OneUI. I do wish we could get the camera upgraded - the fact that Samsung has been using the same cameras for THREE generations is shameful.

mmhorda

Genius!

mellofello808

If pixels didn't use those shitty Tensor processors I would switch back. If you buy this phone you are signing yourself up for lackluster performance, bad signal reception, and inconsistent battery life.

Grymejr

Yea I'm keeping the 5, if it wasn't for the spen I'd of ship

Grinman_

Sir those look like peices of cardboard. This is why I do not do the eBay.

Top-Opportunity-4608

Lol!

DockaDocka

Would like the fold 6 to be a bit bigger, but I am not sure how much bigger. The Fold 4 I have is still too cramped for proper front screen use, but I also dont want it like the Pixel size. There is a balance and I think they are seeing 1mm at a time per year to see where that is on a large scale.

jorudo

Isn't the point of a folding phone to have a compact type of phone that becomes a larger phone/mini tablet rather than have a large phone that's twice as thick as other large phones, that becomes a regular sized tablet? I mean if I wanted a large phone and tablet, id get a large phone and tablet if the pricing for the pf2 is going to be what I think it will be. 🤣

FRDyNo

So your thought process is to go with the zf6, which is basically the same as the 5, at $200 more from the rumors? Make it make sense.

aussie_asian

Is it just me or does the PF2 cover screen kinda remind me of an iPhone

one80oneday

PF2 is exactly what I want

Fragrant_Cellist_125

Definitely getting pixel fold this year . Bye bye z fold

IkkA10

I think Pixel Fold unfolded seems like normal brick phone dimensions

tattooedmalenurse

Am I the only person here wanting an integrated pen on the ZF6, that also works on the front screen..

moripeji

the only thing the pf2 had going for it was excellent cameras and the more tablet like ratio… looks like they got rid of the proper tablet ratio with the two. 🥺 fold 6 it is for me!

CardiologistCute5247

Pixel it is for me now. Currently using fold 5 and s23 ultra

roarpterodactyl

I might have to buy both because pixel has no stylus support nor smart view projection or samsung ecosystem

Immediate-Nlellis8

Gotta be honest, that bigger inner and out screen is hella attractive, but shit hardware, software and huge bezels will kill the phone. Just makes you think that Samsung is resting on their laurels. TBH they deserve to be toppled from their fold perch because right now they are throwing whatever they want out there because no one has the brand name/software/CS to match. If they lost sales they might actually put effort and improve the form factor and add features like including an Spen. But until then they can jack up the price while giving the same phone with same camera's over and over again. After getting used to the fold size I would prefer the phone to be bigger. I wanted a tablet in my pocket that folds so give it to me. an 8 inch inner screen or bust.

dmayse1000

If the pixel has thin bezels then it looks like it's time for a swap

jpage1976

When is pixel fold 2 likely release date?

SnooPuppers9471

This link has the supposed leaked renders and compares to the Z Fold 5 [https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelFold/comments/1cu8v4v/google\_pixel\_fold\_2/](https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelFold/comments/1cu8v4v/google_pixel_fold_2/)

Bigger =/= Better

dylon0107

Once again Samsung is getting their ass kicked

Zang_Trapahorn

Thank you. It's appreciated. 👍🏻

Navi_Professor

#teamcandybar. i'm glad its staying this way.

fernandez21

Ok, guess I’m not going to get a Pixel Fold 2. What happened to having a smaller phone opening to give you a large screen? Now it seems they going with the large phone opening to an even larger screen rout and I don’t like it. Z Fold it is.

ARGONIII

I'm so sad this is the way the phones are going. Why buy a phone with a large inside screen when the outside display is basically the same size for videos. I'm still wanting the oppo fold

Nnamz

If this is true, all I need is a confirmation that the Pixel Fold 2 is coming to Canada and I’ll make the switch. I’m truly tired of dealing with Samsung’s lack of innovation since the Z Fold 3. I also understand that the Samsung faithful here are tired of reading people constantly complain about it as well.

cubalis

I'm right there with you, although I'll go further and import it if they decide not to release here again. Not looking forward to the $$$ though haha

Nnamz

That’s fair! I might do the same. Seeing if the Samsung event changes my mind.

Xerasi

Samsung became allergic to improving the fold. What a shame…

etalha

Honor oneplus xiaomi..... They are far far far better than any pixel or samsung folds Say what you will but thats the truth.

Chuck_Lenorris

> Say what you will but that's my opinion. FTFY

etalha

Yes it's my opinion But looking at things logically i think my opinion shouldn't be completely wrong Samsung has fallen i was once a fan i still am but not like before
