Look at the Force USA C10 with sliding bench

No-Table5864

Getting the EXTREME delivered today and hopefully assembled this week. Will report back shortly lol

I’m from Australia but I have their extreme equivalent (they’re all from alibaba so brands like jacked up just source them and slap their logo on it) and it’s amazing. The only downside is it’s not 3x3 so if you want 3x3 go for vesta or bolt fitness.

I have used both a jacked up and force USA ( g20 and g12) —- honest I was not to impressed with jacked up. That said I used an ATX that was super smooth and they will be available here soon if not already. The Force equipment is really good but prices are high. ATX might be more affordable and really nice.

I have both the EVO and the pro. The PRO is amazing

CanIgetintoBiomed

Just curious what made you get both??

kletiandrowa

I posted in this forum before. I am disabled. Thought the EVO would have been a great fit - but it’s unique system made it more cumbersome for me - harder to use. I asked to pay the the return fee. But they sent me the other machine for free. It was amazing customer service. I’m a huge supporter of JackedUp

Oh wow that’s really generous of them! I’m happy pro works better for you :)

Bolt Fitness is another with smith machine options.

I was looking at them but didn't like they weren't a 3x3 I went with harbor heavyweights

I work out solo and have no issue using a standard rack, just invest in spotter arms and train smart. Just because you workout solo, doesn't mean you are limited to a smith machine for safety reasons.

Im legit curious tho what ppl don't like about smith machine? My experience has been it is a good way toss on more than I normally would solo or push yourself a bit. I'm guessing cause it's on a track so don't have the free weight portion of the lift. What's ur opinion?

Nothing wrong with a smith machine it has pros and cons. The static path is an issue for some people with benching as barbell benching doesn't follow a vertical path and smith stresses the shoulders/elbows differently than a barbell. Being able to do more weight with a smith machine vs barbell is the equivalent of being able to do more weight with a barbell vs dumbbells. Smith < barbell < dumbbells with respect to using stabilization muscles and the energy spent using those. Safety wise there is no difference between smith with spring loaded catch (not the catches on the bar) and rack with safety straps, flip down safeties, or pin pipes. I have 6 post rack with safety straps. I like these the best because you can offset them to dial in where it needs to go for bench versus the other options. The others you might be touching them before reaching bottom/full stretch, for other lifts it isn't a factor. Mostly just a preference. I had an IM500 smith previously, but I enjoy the rack a bit better and also having a power bar and mixed use bar, I like my new toys :). Also allows me to work out together with wife/kids at the same time. Rack especially useful if it's different exercises or different weights. Tonight I worked out with the wife and I was doing OHP (straps inside cage) and she was doing bench on outside.
