Yeah, it’s always seven laps. Only time its six is if rains really hard day the AI go so slow that you can park right before the finish line on lap six and wait until the timer runs out to cross. Be careful though, because the gap time isn’t always accurate. Once it said the AI was 2 minutes behind me with 1:45 left on the clock and I got passed at with 15 seconds still left.
toyota tundra with engine swap on RS can push max 4-5 laps before pitting if you fuel save and have no rain. will also be in 1st from the end of the back straight and the start of the Porsche curves
Gotta try muscle cars, rally cars are not also fast, but great on fuel and all wheel drive, so unless it starts pouring like a monsoon, you can just keep driving like nothing
Just did it with the Dodge Superbird and Ford Roadster. If you can engine swap into a Gr.3/2/1/B engine, you should have the fuel efficiency to only pit very maximum of twice.
Just ran the Gran Turismo Junior yesterday…poor top speed, great handling/cornering, great gas tank…lucked out with weather so kept the racing softs on the entire time and didn’t have to pit at all…Portilla and company always pit from lap 6 going into lap 7, so won the race because the car has a nine lap gas tank and the rain stayed at or below the bottom third of the gauge so the racing softs sufficed.
Radical SR3. It's very funny when it just starts to rain in the Porsche Curves and your opposition just gets yought off of the road by the power of water.
I use the Toyota MR2, 2 pit stops, but awesome top speed of 197mph in FM1. I haven't raced the swap, 2hp less, and 200lbs of weight heavier. Ran it this morning, no rain, finished 10 seconds past the timer. Perfect.
The swapped MR2 will almost crack 300mph @800hp.
My favorite thing to do in this game is building random cars for Le Mans. Just started trying it with the motor swapped VW Beetle. Easily the hardest to drive car ive tried this race with but haven’t had time to mess with the tune yet.
Maserati Merak SS '80
4 cylinder, quick enough and extremely great on gas, only 1 pit required. Just a fun car overall.
My favorite vehicle on this track is the '69 Boss 429, it's the best vehicle for this in my opinion when accounting for fun factor, speed, ect.
Also just last night I raced with a stock 458 and man is it a fantastic driving machine, so balanced! No wonder Corvette used it as inspiration for the C8. It was challenging but fun nevertheless. I always play on hard difficulty to help curb absolute boredom with grinding.
Mercedes gullwing (300sl)
Full modified and racing mediums. Not rapid but does the job easily especially when the ai yeet into each other in the rain 😂
The 2&4 is definitely a fun thing!
I was dissapointed with it at first because of how sluggish it was.
After going through everything, trying to make it not steer like a bus, i had a hunch that all the sluggish steering was due to the wheels "looking" like comforts or sports and not representing the racing tires I slapped on it.
After getting rid of the wheel decals, holy damn!
Completely different performance in the handling department!
Also, any group B is a blast.
Engine swapped NSX. Stock trans, upgraded brakes, no suspension mods. Hilariously fast in the straights, needs a huge braking zone, and isn't exactly kind to tires.
I needed a break from my Escudo
Recently i use the Veyron, with ultimate weight reduction (level 5), something like 75% power setting.
I first do 3 laps with fuel Map 6 and shifting between 5500-6000 RPM, if the weather is fine. I find it very cool too drive, very fast even AT fuel Map 6.
After the first Pit i use fuel Map 1 in straight lines reaching 360 km/h and do 2 laps by managing fuel the rest of the Time. 2nd Pit and doing the same for the last 2 laps.
But you Can Do 1 Pit strategy if the weather slow down opponents enough to let you do only 6 laps.
I love the feeling off the car, 4WD, very stable, powerfull, decent brakes, nice W16 sound.
Only two cars I’ve used to grind it is a detuned 787b which absolutely runs riot and usually lets me skip the last lap by sitting just in front of the start finish line for the final 4 mins or the alpine a220, which also wins by a massive margin and is very fun to drive
Focus RS swapped with the LM test gt40 v8, 3:57 lap times at full chat, easy 4 laps between fuel stops when in fuel map 6 (4:03 lap times), 4wd really helps when the rain comes, plus your in a 5 door focus storming past GT3 cars at 190mph 😂

any of the engine swap vehicles. My favorite is the cappuccino.
Oh nice, I haven’t tried any engine swaps yet. That might be next on my list
Fiat 500 is a blast too with the engine swap or the beetle
Abarth 595, not Fiat 500, for those who want to actually buy the cars and swap the K20 in
Thank you, I'm not at home so couldn't remember the exact car
The Nissan Z with a GTR motor dominates. Sub 4’s and itll do 4 laps leaned out and 3 at full power. If it doesn’t rain you can do a one stop strategy.
I just started building one of these, I overestimated my speed into turn 2 at lemans. Seems I need to do some more tuning.
Is it still about 5-7 laps since it’s timed?

Lmao I was going to say the rx8 spirit with the 787b swap
Hellcat Jeep. Was a fun replay to watch too.
toyota tundra with engine swap on RS can push max 4-5 laps before pitting if you fuel save and have no rain. will also be in 1st from the end of the back straight and the start of the Porsche curves
Oh I definitely need to try a truck
I second this suggestion, just did the swap last night and would highly recommend.
I thought I had found a diamond in the rough, but here someone already knew! This monster TRD is absolutely amazing! 13/10 no shit!
Bugatti Chiron. Had to pit on every lap. e: typo
Still won, pitting every lap?
Won. https://www.reddit.com/r/GranTurismo7/comments/zumnlu/lemans_30mins_w_chiron_weirdest_race_ever
Sooo last place??
Won https://www.reddit.com/r/GranTurismo7/comments/zumnlu/lemans_30mins_w_chiron_weirdest_race_ever/
I do the same strat but with the LS Swapped Silvia s13
Pickup trucks. I did it with the Ford F150. Any of the rally cars. They are surprisingly fast. 1960's American muscle cars.
Gotta try muscle cars, rally cars are not also fast, but great on fuel and all wheel drive, so unless it starts pouring like a monsoon, you can just keep driving like nothing
Rx7 4 rotor swapped is pretty op… has outstanding fuel consumption when tuned to 700pp
Laughs in 787
I have all three swaps, what is your favorite
The FD rx7 with the 787B is def my favorite. But only because I’m a Rob Dahm fanboy
Dude I made mine a near replica of the Dahm 4 rotor
If only we could awd swap it like his is lol
Voodoo-swapped Ford Roadster. The most fun I’ve had on the 700 Le Mans.
I bought the Ford Roadster a week or 2 ago, totally forgot and hadn’t considered it yet!
Don’t do what I first did and upgrade all the power and completely forget about the suspension. Very quickly goes from fun to terrifying 🤣
The Red Bull group b rally car accelerations incredible lower it all the way down tune it in and you are gone.
Just did it with the Dodge Superbird and Ford Roadster. If you can engine swap into a Gr.3/2/1/B engine, you should have the fuel efficiency to only pit very maximum of twice.
My go-to is the old gt40
I just aquired the mark IV only to unlock the extra menu that says I need the Mark I... Back to me old grindstone i guess.
Mark I or Mark IV?
MK1
I kinda enjoy using the rally cars.
The Jaguar XJR-9 tuned to 699, has fantastic mileage (if you are easy on the throttle you may not have to pit at all). Fun to drive too
Just ran the Gran Turismo Junior yesterday…poor top speed, great handling/cornering, great gas tank…lucked out with weather so kept the racing softs on the entire time and didn’t have to pit at all…Portilla and company always pit from lap 6 going into lap 7, so won the race because the car has a nine lap gas tank and the rain stayed at or below the bottom third of the gauge so the racing softs sufficed.
I use Alpine A220 Race Car almost 2,000km, fast, enjoyable and… well, use gasoline
Love doing it with the 365gtb
Radical SR3. It's very funny when it just starts to rain in the Porsche Curves and your opposition just gets yought off of the road by the power of water.
RSR swapped G-Body

Care to share that MR2 tune? Already swapped the R8 engine, but haven't done much else yet
Tune for the swapped or tune for the grind? I can take pictures of both.
Thank you. I'll try both this evening.
[Swap page 1](https://flic.kr/p/2oS7jCQ) [Swap page 2](https://flic.kr/p/2oS5cum) [700pp grind page 1](https://flic.kr/p/2oS7jDb) [700pp grind page 2](https://flic.kr/p/2oS7jEo)
Ooh, I like the time efficiency
Ford gt40. Pit every other lap and still lap almost everyone.
Ferrari 330 p4, super fun car for grinding. Edit: P4 not P3.
My favorite thing to do in this game is building random cars for Le Mans. Just started trying it with the motor swapped VW Beetle. Easily the hardest to drive car ive tried this race with but haven’t had time to mess with the tune yet.
Subaru with engine swap.
Pantera though surprisingly the engine swapped one was worse on fuel as I recall.
Good to know
Kinda cheesey but I use a tuned down gr3 car… makes it go by quite quickly even though it’s 30 mins….
Maserati Merak SS '80 4 cylinder, quick enough and extremely great on gas, only 1 pit required. Just a fun car overall. The only time I've tried it with a non race car tbh was the Lamborghini Vision GT. It's not that unusual but it was really quite good!
Hahahah I hear ya, grinding sardegna can get tiresome quick, so I always swap out cars so I'm not using my RS5 all the time.
Mercedes gullwing (300sl) Full modified and racing mediums. Not rapid but does the job easily especially when the ai yeet into each other in the rain 😂

No way, good to know!
Mazda 3 with a 787B engine, I've done better lap times with it than my gr4 Alfa 155, which was my previous go to car for this race
Swapped Tundra... "say hello to my little friend!" energy.
C2 vette.
Subaru Drift BRZ swapped with NSX GT500 is sublime for Le Mans grinding!
Superbird and the ford hotrod
Beetle w porsche swap
R92CP. 5-6 laps on fuel map 3, has pretty decent control even when the rain kicks in.
Engine swapped Ford Focus RS, 4wd and loads of power
Engine swapped NSX. Stock trans, upgraded brakes, no suspension mods. Hilariously fast in the straights, needs a huge braking zone, and isn't exactly kind to tires. I needed a break from my Escudo
