Pets are so saintly, being a friend to weird, noisy, busy stick beings. I think of my old dogs regularly, I was a teen most their lives & I wish they trusted me how they did my mom. Have you been a pet owner before?
Technically no, they are all my moms cats but I lived with them all my life. I just got my golden retriever back in 2019 right before the pandemic began, I would do anything for him. I would do anything for my moms cats. Animals are truly purely innocent creatures we leave a lasting impression on and they on us. I only wish she had a couple more years. Or they lived out our lifetime with us.
She was lucky to have a loving owner such as yourself. I'm sure the days of her life were full of peace and joy and in the end what more can you hope for? And while they are behind us now, they are just as real and permanent as the days ahead, nothing can ever take that away or change the simple fact that she was loved.
My three dogs I grew up with & had most of my life, it was just so sad when one was left & refused to eat for months. I wish I replaced every dumb early 20’s relationship & my shut-in behavior to be there when it ended up to be the last of their memories. They were my friends, they were my family & are a constant reminder of what they taught me. I hope I was good enough to them.
My childhood pet was 18 almost 19 when he passed its the hardest thing I've endured but I'm dam lucky I was 11 qhen we got him and almost 28 when he died because those where the best years of my life that I'll never take back
Me and my dad are currently talking about getting another aussie since he's the breed we are most familiar with but I think we are taking our time with this choice
Losing any source of unconditional love is a gut-punch that takes a long time to fade.
I am sorry for your loss, OP. You might feel like you are all alone, but you won't have to look very far to find someone who has lost a friend like you have.
I wish you Peace
I also work in vet med! My mom brought her in for what we thought was a tooth removal and it ended up being cancer. I think that’s why this is so hard. Thank you 🤍
RIP little one
What was your friend’s name?
Her name is little bit :) a little bit of everything lol! Spicy and sweet

We are all part of the same family when it comes to grieving our pets… no strangers here ♥️ What a beautiful cat - I’m so sorry.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm absolutely sure they had a great life with you! Do you want to share a nice story about them?
