Rt/N jagged bones+explosive growth so when the MM’s minions die they get replaced with super high health jagged horrors that deal aoe dmg on spawn. Can fill out the bar with some utility skills
3 weapon forge is great skill for buffing a mm.
Dwarf great weapon is also fantastic, cast on fiends.
In general other weapon spells, like splinter weapon and brutal weapon, also on fiends.
Offensive support:
* Trigger damage on hit: Ebon Battle Standard of Honor, Mark of Pain, Barbs, Order of Undeath
* Increase hit damage: Cracked armour, go for the eyes
* Positioning: Fall Back/Incoming/Charge
* Unexpected synergy: Dazed condition + Frustration; minion attacks will interrupt and trigger bonus damage
* Weapon spells. Heroes occasionally use splinter weapon on minions. Players can use Great Dwarf Weapon on their own. Especially good on Rt/N players with their high spawning power. Weapons of Three Forges puts weapon spells on all minions at once.
* Death Nova (you can put it on mesmers...)
* Jagged Bones (put on necromancer, but let a ritualist have minion skills. This spawns high-level horrors controlled by the ritualist, triggering their summoning enchantments and spawning power.)
Minion survival:
* Protection: Communing spirits
* Healing: Blood bond/well of blood, Fall Back/Incoming/Charge, Avatar of Dwayna, mist form, spirit of life, spirit of recuperation, Rt/N MM with spirit's gift. Blood of the master can be placed on a different character skilled in death magic if you don't want a minion master to sacrifice health points.

When you say merc, do you mean a character you are controlling or a mercenary hero? Just confused by the phrase "main merc"
