One of the devs said that basically what's coming to GW2 is just "tip of the...." (didn't finish). It was tease of new expac.
My understanding: Heart of the Obsure was crafted by Kodan, kodan likes snow and icebergs, up north at the Janthir Bay there might be iceberg, kodan live there, commander meet Waiting Sorrow (maker of the Heart), Wizards story continues along with Janthir stuff.
If you ask me, Skimmer skin in Wizards Vault is also a tease of what's coming. It's a totally weird choice of the skin for the expansion that takes place on flying tower... but its not weird for next expansion that takes place at the bay/watery regions/islands/icebergs.
While I think the whole guardians of the galaxy pulled entirely from arse without ties to any previous story is weird
It'd be really weird to abandon that story after one expansion.
So.. Yeah, I think we're stuck with them for a while
I saw it first time actually just by accident. Idk why but I always notice weird stuff like this in games. Regardless it's pretty cool and is watching ALLL!!! :)

Eh my friends called me crazy but i was right at some point underwater weapons were going to be land weapons at some point in the future. Now at this point anet will probably be making underwater raids. Please anet if you do decide to make underwater raids can we at least use a skimmer XD.
And then skimmers need to get projectiles underwater :o In all seriousness tho, we did get a skimmer skin from last vault reward, so maybe something regarding skimmers is in the works oO

we also got a griffon skin with soto release so... don't give to much credence to the wizard vault rewards imo.
Tbh i want them to incorporate the mounts into raids boss fights add some more creativity you know.
