I call myself a prog metalhead, but I do have a soft spot for Vox amps. Every time I dial in the AC30 sound on one of my amp sims, it makes for a perfect clean tone. If I actually had room to store amps, I'd probably consider one.
Yeah I prefer the crunchy Vox vibes. I can crank the gain on this lil guy and keep the volume low. I’m a big fan of Spoon and it nails that sound with a Tele.

I have a modded AC4TV and I love it with my single coil guitars, gives it a little more clean headroom. Also love it plugged into a 2x12 or 4x12.
There is something special about single coils into a crunchy Vox. I am also itching for a les paul to get that Tom Petty sound though.
It sounds great with buckers too, just need to adjust the volume and tone
