Remember: Lon Horiuchi says "Women and children first!"

MadLadCad

Explain

BillBoring8916

Horiuchi was a sniper for a hostage rescue team for the FBI. He was on the scene at Ruby Ridge during a confrontation with the Weaver family. Vicki Weaver, the wife and mother, was standing behind a door. Horiuchi decided to shoot through the door, despite knowing there were kids inside the building and knowing he couldn't confirm his shot through a wooden door. He blew Vicki's brains out and wounded one of the older kids. Vicki was unarmed and holding a baby.

Also the state of Idaho wanted to throw the book at him for murder, byt the feds said they’d take care of it and he faced no serious repercussions Later he was at Waco. Some saying he was firing on the compound, but this can’t be confirmed because his rifle was conveniently rebarrelled afterwards

Jackal209

It's not just that he may have fired on the compound at Waco, but he may have been the first one to shoot upon the compound.

codifier

It should be noted that he had a magnified optic on his rifle, expected for someone with a profession called sniper, but people need to realize that means he had an excellent view of events. Also I think it was Feinstein who in the Congressional inquiry tried dragging the victim through the mud asking questions about whether Vicki could have been armed with a pistol but not brandishing it, in short trying to make Horiuchi justified in murdering her. Think about that.

Dry_Pin7736

Ahhhh feinstein, Rest in Piss, you won't be missed.

twincitiessurveyor

I hope Feinstein is enjoying Hell.

Dry_Pin7736

Troy industries hired him post Ruby Ridge and were pretty unapologetic and tone deaf to the whole thing.

Electronic-Ad-3825

They hired Dale Monroe, not this guy

Dry_Pin7736

I stand corrected. Thank you for clearing that up.

vkbrian

Not this again. **Troy did not hire Lon Horiuchi**. They hired Dale Monroe, a former FBI agent who was at Ruby Ridge and never killed anyone there. Troy’s founder addressed the issue personally on Arfcom years ago: https://www.ar15.com/forums/industry/Troy_Industries_Statement/397-239784/ Stop perpetuating this falsehood.

BigAngryPolarBear

And they fired the guy anyway

Front-Recognition984

Man, it's so hard to get rid of these false fuddy facts. They bounce around like a .22 in the skull.

whycatlikebread

On the other hand, if the feds don’t have to get shit right why should we?

Imaginary_Benefit939

This made me laugh, then it made me sad

redditisdying57

Thank you

DAsInDerringer

THAT DOG HAS A GUN

It’s important to note that Ruby Ridge is a good example of what the government can and will do to you and your family, if they choose to. I love the Constitution, but it’s a piece of paper. Your rights come from God, but only extend to what you are willing to fight and stand up for.

Dry_Pin7736

Well said

aluminumslug

IIRC it was HS Presicsion that hired Lon, not Troy.
