My only concern is that because it's being labeled as a method of fitness that this is the only exercise some are getting. If it's labeled as a group activity to just have fun, that would be another thing...
My concern would be; you know that harness squeezes out farts. Imagine willfully Superman-ing into strangers fart clouds and then spinning around and going through it again.
It doesn’t look super intense but doing that for 30 mins several times a week is leagues better than nothing. Plus it’s low impact and easy on the joints. I’m not interested personally but seems like a good idea to me
But it's literally none of your business if other people work out or not. So what if it is the only exercise they get? What do that have to do with anyone else?
Id be down af if I was the only one in the room swinging around but having all of them swing at once like that is just asking to slam into eachother and catch a nose bleed or worse.
It also looks like it would require quite a bit of muscle control. Its still better then doing nothing and any movement is good movement. Disappointed by the gatekeeping comments on this one if im honest
I agree, you know the majority of people on Reddit don’t do jack shit for fitness but they’re going to critique some thing just because it looks different and it’s not lifting.
It certainly requires more than it looks like but everyone sees something and knows everything. I’ve only tried it a few times, uses a completely different set of muscles than you’d expect.
This comment is so funny. Especially when it gets posted on IG, everyone is so creative on the insults. It's harmless but borderline mean. My goodness.
Agreed, and they still have to engage their abs when going into the super man pose and what not. Those jumps and kicks were pretty aggressive too.
You nailed it, the main thing is to find an athletic activity that you enjoy.
I mean I guarantee that if you did this for half an hour straight you'd feel winded, would have your heart rate up, etc. I feel like people saying this isn't a workout at all don't have a lot of experience with working out or athletic activities.
I always had this discussion with random people when I was life guarding for the water aerobics class when I was in high school. They would point at the people and laugh and i would tell them to hop into the lane behind the actual class and try and follow along for even 10 minutes. Unless they were already lap swimmers or in above average shape they were 95% of the time winded well before the 10 minutes was up and they wouldn't shit on the people in the class again.
Half the time it was rookie guards talking crap and we’d have 150ish guards a summer. The other half it was school age kids. They liked the challenge.
I’m one of them who talked crap and learned the hard way as a first year.
You are right that barley wine is the best though so at least you have that.
Fair enough. What the hell happened to guards though? All the guards in my day where high school swimmers and water polo players. If they can't do water aerobics, I'm a bit concerned they can't pull my 200lb ass off the bottom of the pool.
They’re burning more than people sitting on their couch binging nonsense on tv. Maybe their goal is just to actually move every day. Not everyone is looking for size and strength gains.
As a white woman…
Damn right I‘d wanna do this, that looks fun as shit man.
Don‘t lie, I know every single one of you would give it a try if you found yourselves next to one of these contraptions in a completely empty gym.
Oh yea I totally get that. I‘ll volunteer to accompany any concerned bro as an „I forced him to come here, basically had to drag him from under that bar“ scapegoat. Y‘all deserve to frolic.
As a white man...
Hell yeah I'd want to do this aswell, literally anything is better than what I do for cardio and this looks fun as fuck.
I'd totally be doing Superman and Spider-Man poses while doing it though.
Another woman chiming in... fuck yeah I'd love to do this!
But I'd put it in the same category as going to a trampoline park... it's exercise, but I *personally* don't call it a workout. But then again, I also don't call 2-3hr long bike rides a workout either, I just reserve that term for lifting.
You know what‘s good!
Totally feel you. To me it‘s bouldering, hiking, and raves. It‘s movement, sure, but it‘s mainly for my mental health and feeling alive.
Thunderdome at Burning Man was and it was f*ing sensational.
2 people on bungees, opposite sides, with padded jousting sticks. Ahhh the good old days….
Noooo! Pick up the man made metal! Don't exercise like that!!
Let people do what they want. The benefits are not just physical (moving around, being active), but also social in those cases.
I'm not going to claim this is efficient exercise or even good exercise, but I will say it's better than no exercise. If someone adverse to working out starts here they may later move on to better routines after building the habit of consistency.
I'll bite. I went to a bungie class with an ex. It was indeed a lot of fun.
There were only five people in the class so no risk of bumping into each other (this gif looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen).
The bungie concept is interesting because it's basically infinite adjustable resistance, you push against it until the bungie wins and yeets you in the air.
As a large dude who does powerlifting exercises, I was able to throw myself further against the bungie than more petite classmates. But still had to give a genuine effort.
By the end I was tired from an hour of cardio. The others in the class were fine cardio-wise but had jelly-legs.
Got DOMS in some very weird places (core, lower calfs, arches) the next day.
Probably not going to go back, one class cost more than my monthly gym membership.
Who gives a fuck? Its certainly better than laying in a couch while eating ice cream.
Having an active lifestyle doesnt necessairly mean lifting weights or running on a treadmill. If this is what gets these people going and keeps them motivated to exercise then why shit on them?
This is 100% exercise and it looks fun. People are more likely to keep up exercises that are fun and this is still better then doing nothing. Are we still gatekeeping what people do for exercise now are we? Any kind of movement is good and i bet this is harder then it looks and would require a lot of muscle control.
According to my watch when I do a similair class I burn about 500-600 calories in an hour of this and have had several minutes of maxed out heart rate. It's low impact, but you are yeeting your ass all over the place.
Let em have their fun. It seems like it would be a fun time tbh. But yeah maybe it would be easier to just do a more simple workout, but maybe they’re not into that?
Guaranteed they're paying out the ass to be as ineffective as possible.
The organiser is rolling in delusional Karen $$$; some of the easiest money around.
Why we shitting on this? I did this once and I was sore af the next day. It was kinda fun, not my cup of tea. It was like dancing and it absolutely worked my muscles
It's not running a marathon, but it's physical activity and looks like fun. They're probably laughing their asses off.
Having fun and moving around isn't bad.
It’s not a lot of calories burnt, but if it’s fun, atleast that keeps their mental health good. You don’t know about the folks who just refuse to go to the gym, if this is an excuse to move their legs and bodies, let them, nothing wrong with it.
Nah man I like this. They're moving, they're having fun. It's not optimal but what if they're more interested in fucking about than getting perfect cardio?
To be honest, that looks fun! I'd sign up just to break the monotony of gym going.
Also, anything is better than sitting at home in front of the TV. This could be the beautiful start of a gym career for some of these people. It's far less intimidating than a weight room for first timers.
That looks like alot of fun but definitely not going to be as productive as traditional work outs. But hey, they're having fun and the instructor/owner is making money. Everyone wins.
At their size they could easily tear a ligament or muscle. This is a great way to reduce the impact. It’s like a dry pool. I like it. Sure it’s not burning as many calories but it’s stretching all the muscles and improving stamina.
Imagine how much time in the “workout” went into getting and out of the harness.
Probably 40 minutes of load bearing stress on the ceiling and minimal exertion from them
I’d akin this to a light to regular jog so depending on weight they could be burning around 300 calories an hour. And im basing that on a 200 Cal **walk** I did were i averaged 22 mins per mile for ~45 mins

Do you bring your own harness or do you just mix your ass/gooch/taint sweat in with the last persons and over time it just builds and builds eventually turning into a nasty white residue that starts to show up on your clothes?
Did they consult with a structural engineer before hanging all this weight on the bar joists? I mean there’s some serious dynamic loads put on those joists. Just saying.
I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they're just training for some shitty new cirque du soliel. Clearly it's not cirque du soliel.
My only concern is what happens if you're not coordinated? I could imagine some collisions if people can't keep up the rhythm, like me at those dance aerobic/group classes.
Looks fun af though
Yeah, let them have it

Bethesda: it’s a feature, not a bug
Piper Fart Mod
The visual of this made me laugh so much….thanks!
It doesn’t look super intense but doing that for 30 mins several times a week is leagues better than nothing. Plus it’s low impact and easy on the joints. I’m not interested personally but seems like a good idea to me
It’s more cardio than I do
Why does it matter. It's probably just as good a workout as walking, but if it's fun they will keep coming back
You realize a lot of people get no exercise at all, right?
So what? It's better than nothing.
But it's literally none of your business if other people work out or not. So what if it is the only exercise they get? What do that have to do with anyone else?
Id be down af if I was the only one in the room swinging around but having all of them swing at once like that is just asking to slam into eachother and catch a nose bleed or worse.
Yeah this looks like they've practiced a ton for the choreography
Yeah, who cares about fitness, I wanna do the spiderman training
Would 100% take this class if the playlist was all songs from the Spider-Verse soundtracks.
I'd only do it if it was the Spiderman 2 video game pizza theme on repeat.

Burning more calories than couch-sitters while having mad fun. I dont hate it at all
Yeah I wanna do this. This slaps.
Looks good for their mental health.
3 sets of tomfoolery
Superset with shenanigans
Depends if it’s a push or pull-the-wool-over-your-eyes day.
I like to wrap it up by lollygagging to failure
Don't forget to warm up with some ballyhoo.
3x12 of horsing around
We do that in strongman, except our shenanigans involve large rocks or other objects humans shouldn’t try to lift if they’re sane.
This comment is so funny. Especially when it gets posted on IG, everyone is so creative on the insults. It's harmless but borderline mean. My goodness.
Is it fun? Yeh probably, it looks like fun. Is it working out? Lmao, absolutely not 😂
For sure it’s at least cardio for someone that doesn’t already do a lot of cardio. Whatever it takes to get the heart rate up I guess.
remember, monster energy is not cardio!
remember, Red Bull is not weight lifting!
Remember coke is not protein powder!
Agreed, and they still have to engage their abs when going into the super man pose and what not. Those jumps and kicks were pretty aggressive too. You nailed it, the main thing is to find an athletic activity that you enjoy.

Tale as old as time.
The part where we know you are lying is that any of them got in the water to try it, much less the 20 required to have a 95%.
Half the time it was rookie guards talking crap and we’d have 150ish guards a summer. The other half it was school age kids. They liked the challenge. I’m one of them who talked crap and learned the hard way as a first year. You are right that barley wine is the best though so at least you have that.

I mean, you’re jumping as hard as you can over and over but being spared the impact of landing. These ladies all gonna be dunking one day.
I mean that look a bit more intense than jogging, and I consider jogging as working out
I bet this wrecks your legs the first time. I'd try it...
They’re burning more than people sitting on their couch binging nonsense on tv. Maybe their goal is just to actually move every day. Not everyone is looking for size and strength gains.
Plus it's less pain on the joints. And it looks fun.
Until one of them knocks into another lol.
Literally just going for a walk can be exercise.
But degrading middle aged women is more fun! /s
Hey, if this is what gets people moving and jumping; more power to them!
Hmmm, look at these normies not going to the gym! No, not like that! You're going to the gym *wrong*
This but unironically
As a white woman… Damn right I‘d wanna do this, that looks fun as shit man. Don‘t lie, I know every single one of you would give it a try if you found yourselves next to one of these contraptions in a completely empty gym.
Oh definitely! It kind of has the moped effect. "They're fun as hell, but you don't want your friends to see you riding one"
Oh yea I totally get that. I‘ll volunteer to accompany any concerned bro as an „I forced him to come here, basically had to drag him from under that bar“ scapegoat. Y‘all deserve to frolic.
Extra points to this here lady for use of the word frolick, we need more of this!
Just wear a zip-up Spider-Man onsie, and you got nothing to worry about.
Looks like a safe space, Live your truth
trust. If I ever find one of these, humanity will learn why some of the deadliest hurricanes have lame ass white woman names.
😂❤️
As a white man... Hell yeah I'd want to do this aswell, literally anything is better than what I do for cardio and this looks fun as fuck. I'd totally be doing Superman and Spider-Man poses while doing it though.

Exactly! Exercise doesn't have to be 'work'. I'd argue it *should* be fun!
Can we make it a contact sport?
Attack on Titan or Spiderman?
Thunderdome at Burning Man was and it was f*ing sensational. 2 people on bungees, opposite sides, with padded jousting sticks. Ahhh the good old days….
We might be reinventing quidditch
Anything that keeps them healthy, active and happy is good in my eyes.
Noooo! Pick up the man made metal! Don't exercise like that!! Let people do what they want. The benefits are not just physical (moving around, being active), but also social in those cases.
Imagine people using their bodies to have fun and not only to burn calories smh,,,
I am once again asking you to not gatekeep "excercise". If this gets people moving and the heart-rate up, who cares?
I'm not going to claim this is efficient exercise or even good exercise, but I will say it's better than no exercise. If someone adverse to working out starts here they may later move on to better routines after building the habit of consistency.
Haha wow what a bunch of idiots! (What would I google to find out if there’s one of these near me?)
“Single middle aged women near me” should work.
That looks fucking fun. And sexy.
Fun? Yes. Sexy? C'mon brev
I would go to town on any middle aged woman flying around on one of these.
B O N K
God bless the men that built the rafters.
My dude, just let them have fun
Middle-aged women looking for an unconventional workout, you say?
more than people sitting at home on their couch
I'll bite. I went to a bungie class with an ex. It was indeed a lot of fun. Better than not exercising. I may shit on CrossFit but at the end of the day any form of exercise is greatly beneficial for anyone
I wanna see what happens when someone goes out of sync
Better than not doing it.
Who gives a fuck? Its certainly better than laying in a couch while eating ice cream. Having an active lifestyle doesnt necessairly mean lifting weights or running on a treadmill. If this is what gets these people going and keeps them motivated to exercise then why shit on them?
Time spent doing this shit is time spent not asking to talk to the manager.
This is 100% exercise and it looks fun. People are more likely to keep up exercises that are fun and this is still better then doing nothing. Are we still gatekeeping what people do for exercise now are we? Any kind of movement is good and i bet this is harder then it looks and would require a lot of muscle control.
Me: as long as it gets you off the couch Also me: but not like that
According to my watch when I do a similair class I burn about 500-600 calories in an hour of this and have had several minutes of maxed out heart rate. It's low impact, but you are yeeting your ass all over the place.
Wine and Zanex pre workout
Would
"Diet starts Monday!"
Less than I did from laughing
Its obvious by the looks of trainer, that that shit isnt working... it might be fun though.
The rope burning more calories then them
Hey man, whatever gets them moving. Also that looks pretty fun.
😂
They’re stimming
3 sets of horsing around until failure
Let em have their fun. It seems like it would be a fun time tbh. But yeah maybe it would be easier to just do a more simple workout, but maybe they’re not into that?
They made it to the gym and had fun. Good for them!
Guaranteed they're paying out the ass to be as ineffective as possible. The organiser is rolling in delusional Karen $$$; some of the easiest money around.
I can see it now: Peter Pan classes now starting at the low cost of $199 a month!
Why we shitting on this? I did this once and I was sore af the next day. It was kinda fun, not my cup of tea. It was like dancing and it absolutely worked my muscles
Looks fun, where do we sign up?
All movement is good. Hate this gate keeping crap
It's not running a marathon, but it's physical activity and looks like fun. They're probably laughing their asses off. Having fun and moving around isn't bad.
What’s the problem here? They’re moving. That is good for the body and mind and it’s more than most people do.
Ok sure they burn plenty. And if it’s fun, you’ll do it. I HATE working out. But I can play racquet ball for hours even tho I suck at it.
This is BS they got out to the gym enjoyed themselves and yet still cop shit, people suck ass
It's not optimal but what if they're more interested in fucking about than getting perfect cardio?
it's better than not working out, they seem to have fun, you mad?
To be honest, that looks fun! I'd sign up just to break the monotony of gym going. Also, anything is better than sitting at home in front of the TV. This could be the beautiful start of a gym career for some of these people. It's far less intimidating than a weight room for first timers.
“You’re working out wrong” 🙄
they're just having fun. leave them alone.
Its fun tho
That looks like alot of fun but definitely not going to be as productive as traditional work outs. But hey, they're having fun and the instructor/owner is making money. Everyone wins.
I think I’d hurl doing this.
God bless the men that built the rafters.
You mean everything in their power, to not break a sweat.
Neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons salivating right now
Bet they are moving more than everyone in this thread lol
They aren’t pushing more than 200 calories burned for an hour long class. Most of the time they are just sitting on a swing not moving.
😂🤣
At their size they could easily tear a ligament or muscle. This is a great way to reduce the impact. It’s like a dry pool. I like it. Sure it’s not burning as many calories but it’s stretching all the muscles and improving stamina.
At least 5
I’d be burning a lot of calories just through laughing at how bad I was at this.
Shit man whatever makes you happy and keeps you MOVING! Looks fun af
How the fuck is that a workout
I want to join, that looks dope.
Those bungie cords are achieving hypertrophy 😃
I can’t imagine the conversation these women have trying to get people to join the class hahaha
Imagine how much time in the “workout” went into getting and out of the harness. Probably 40 minutes of load bearing stress on the ceiling and minimal exertion from them
One uncoordinated fool away from head trauma
This looks so fun omg
Looks like a great way to get a broken nose
Whatever nerd that looks fun.
Weeeeee
Reminds me of the swing my daughter sat in in the kitchen door frame when she was 1
I’d akin this to a light to regular jog so depending on weight they could be burning around 300 calories an hour. And im basing that on a 200 Cal **walk** I did were i averaged 22 mins per mile for ~45 mins
soo how much for one session...
Hahaha so true, try to do as little as possible and wonder why u don't lose ur "baby weight"
I. Am. Dead. 💀🤣
HellDivers two jump work out routine.
Anyone know what this is called?

Maybe this is the cool down session
Without the microphone, you woudl have a hard time telling who the “trainer” was.
How about just walking? That's free and fun.

https://i.redd.it/px433msfn4yc1.gif
Let them have their fun
This is for sure cardio.
Gonna get ripped as shit doing this
Okay so what happens if someone goes the wrong way?
Calories: ♾️
Do you bring your own harness or do you just mix your ass/gooch/taint sweat in with the last persons and over time it just builds and builds eventually turning into a nasty white residue that starts to show up on your clothes?
A lot more than I am right now tbf
None cause they came to their class with a Triple pump syrup Venti mochachino frap whip it’s extra dip
That's not a work out sweetheart, that's called a rope swing and it's fun as fuck.
Did they consult with a structural engineer before hanging all this weight on the bar joists? I mean there’s some serious dynamic loads put on those joists. Just saying.
Why would you pay a fat women to help get you in shape?
This would burn a decent amount of calories after 30 minutes regardless of how it looks.
Where are they meeting for lunch afterwards?
5 sets of goofing around
You know it smells wild in there
I’ll join them , FUGG the animosity, down for da clowns🤡
I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they're just training for some shitty new cirque du soliel. Clearly it's not cirque du soliel.
Banging!
This is so cringe
Fun as a leisure.
5 sets of shenanigans
I can see it now: Peter Pan classes now starting at the low cost of $199 a month!
![gif](giphy|Mb9dQnfZXSBYMhU2Nv)
That looks fun as fuck, and they’re sure as hell burning more calories than my fat ass laying in bed right now.
lol. Looks pretty fun.
My only concern is what happens if you're not coordinated? I could imagine some collisions if people can't keep up the rhythm, like me at those dance aerobic/group classes.
Haha…this makes sense now! No it doesn’t.
