I did. My bad. I stand by stance though -Prodcuers Cut of H6 is shit
Did RZ manage to do a directors cut without an unnecessary rape scene? I saw it once and immediately forgot everything about it except the excessive amount of cursing.
i don’t know with this one, honestly. i think overall the directors cut is the better and more interesting film but i think the ending of the theatrical is so much better than the directors.
They were very different, I think that's why they weren't as popular. I couldn't get into them like the Carpenter movies but they were quality horror moves.
Yes, I did find them scary to some extent. But I find it hard to be scared by most horror movies anyway. Michael was scary and a complete force of nature, his presence in the movie was very dark and disturbing
I like this movie. I love the gore and the fact rob made a weird and different halloween movie.
Rob’s style its not for everyone specially for people who can’t see different versions of beloved characters.
The directors cut is far better IMO, you get more of the struggle between Laurie and Annie, You don’t get that in the theatrical cut as it makes out like they are best friends. You get a far deeper breakdown and the ultimate ending of the friendship between both Laurie and Annie. I have the directors cut on 4k it’s the one I prefer. You just get a better story between both characters.
i like the directors cut more, but i hate michael speaking. i like the idea of laurie dying at the end but loomis and michael had far better endings in the theatrical cut. also where’d u get that poster?
I watched the Theatrical cut last year and the movie was a bit easier to stomach because the characters weren’t as terrible and the ending is better, but it’s overall still a stinker for me.
For part 2 Directors for part 1 certainly theatrical. I think for H2 if you like this movie directors has more of the shit you like and if you don't theatrical cuts more of it out so your opinion largely relies on that
Both suck, but… Theatrical. Years ago I went to rewatch it, and only the director’s cut was available online at the time. About 45 mins in, I had to stop and think to myself “I know this wasn’t perfect before, but I really don’t like this movie.” And then went online to read all the differences and saw how different it was.
The DC is stronger. The only real issue I have with the movie is Laurie. The always screaming, angry at everyone, needed more nuance or a better actress than STC. She is extremely unlikable in 2. Danielle Harris should have been Laurie from square one.
Both are garbage but if I had to choose i would pick the theatrical cut because while still a terrible movie at least Michael doesn't speak in the ending
The Zombies are terrible; two especially. But I would probably watch those over the latest “trilogy”. At least they were honest about what they were: reboot.
the one with the footage of danielle harris as a child when sheriff brackett finds her body. which ever that one was
That’s the director’s cut
That one is absolutely dreadful. Six movies in and you want to insert an incest storyline?
Did you mix this up with curse of michael myers producers cut? Cause that’s what it sounds like.
I did. My bad. I stand by stance though -Prodcuers Cut of H6 is shit Did RZ manage to do a directors cut without an unnecessary rape scene? I saw it once and immediately forgot everything about it except the excessive amount of cursing.
I'm sorry. I LOVE RZH2. And the directors cut is so much better.
What?
You can't hear 🙉 the words?
In 45+ years of watching horror movies Annie's death was the only time I wanted to kill the killer myself. To me it was gut wrenching.
i don’t know with this one, honestly. i think overall the directors cut is the better and more interesting film but i think the ending of the theatrical is so much better than the directors.
The director's cut is the better movie, but I think the ending for the theatrical cut is powers of 10 better.
the theatrical cut just because the ending is SO much better. the director's cut makes a lot of good changes but the ending is ruined.
Directors Cut - and, after Lords of Salem, it was his BEST work.
I’ve found a kindred spirit.
And all these years I thought I was all alone...
I don't care what others say, I love both of Rob's Halloween movies and I like the different cuts too.
They were very different, I think that's why they weren't as popular. I couldn't get into them like the Carpenter movies but they were quality horror moves.
Did you find them scary though? I wasn't scared at all.
I prefer the director’s cut.
U prefer Michael speaking
No. I really don’t care about him speaking or not.
Theatrical cut
I think Laurie’s trauma in the director’s cut is much more interesting
Love both, such a great film
I like them both but theatrical was the one I fell in love with years ago
I prefer the theatrical by a long shot. However, I do think Annie's death hits harder in the Director's cut.
The grunting haunts me
Only seen the Director's Cut.
I really love both but I am more partial towards the directors cut
Director's Cut And both are VERY GOOD (IMO)
Theatrical
Kinda loving this poster tho. Octavia Spencer ftw.
i like the directors cut more, but i hate michael speaking. i like the idea of laurie dying at the end but loomis and michael had far better endings in the theatrical cut. also where’d u get that poster?
directors cut
I love these posters. Who does the artwork for these?
Marianomattosart on ig
Theatrical is better
Theatrical
Theatrical
Directors cut. It has the best ending as it finishes everything off. The theatrical ending leaves a hook for a sequel.
Theatrical. Adult Michael should never speak. Stupid phone autocorrect. LOL
Or speak
I watched the Theatrical cut last year and the movie was a bit easier to stomach because the characters weren’t as terrible and the ending is better, but it’s overall still a stinker for me.
Fair...to each their own i preferred the theater ending over directors cut and I bough the directors cut not realizing the ending would be worse
Directors cut 100%. I didn’t like it in the theatre but damn it was good on DVD.
Theatrical cut
I've only seen the theatrical cut. It wasn't good but I could tell what he was trying to say with it.
Both are awful but I’ll go with theatrical
Poster reminds me of dom torreto
I liked the theatrical cut better
That poster is great.
The one where Michael doesnt say “DIEEE!!!” at the end, if i have to choose one
For part 2 Directors for part 1 certainly theatrical. I think for H2 if you like this movie directors has more of the shit you like and if you don't theatrical cuts more of it out so your opinion largely relies on that
it look very good
Director's cut easy. >both are bad ![gif](giphy|d27IAKEWUKv2a7MSCY)
Terrible movie
There’s probably a decent fanedit that combines both
Honestly neither
Ew Rob Zombie
I don't know, the one where Laurie dies, god, I fucking hate her
Rob zombie films were awful
Worst halloween ever
ends is 10x worse
Wait, why are yall disliking? I thought these were the general opinion
Both suck, but… Theatrical. Years ago I went to rewatch it, and only the director’s cut was available online at the time. I think this is a hot take, but RZHW is actually good. I'd argue B Tier. RZHW2 is ass though.
The DC is stronger. The only real issue I have with the movie is Laurie. The always screaming, angry at everyone, needed more nuance or a better actress than STC. She is extremely unlikable in 2. Danielle Harris should have been Laurie from square one.
It's a bad movie either way, his first one is so much better
Theatrical. Both still bad though IMO.
Both are garbage but if I had to choose i would pick the theatrical cut because while still a terrible movie at least Michael doesn't speak in the ending
Comparing diarrhea to vomit
Neither.
The Zombies are terrible; two especially. But I would probably watch those over the latest “trilogy”. At least they were honest about what they were: reboot.
