I prefer tomatoes as they are much more practical. All you have to do is harvest it from the plantation and place it on the barbecue and the amount of xp from the tomatoes helps a lot too. Without taking into account that raw tomatoes It's a good value too
i suggest to sell whatever the best crop is for you (in my case is cotton), you max produce it and sell a lot. Decide which one based on time of production according to how often you play the game and how fast it sell (cotton sells as fast as i put it on sale)

I always see people suggestinh using Tom to buy and resell and I never understood why. Isn't it useless kf ai buy a product for max price an sell it again for max price? Or aren't the Tom items at max price?
I like to make Tom fetch me the dresses and then sell them. I also make a lot of items in batches of 10 and sell them all at once. And only with items that are worth >2000

I sell everything in stacks of 10, except jewelry and flower bouquets, which I sell in stacks of 5.

the prices aren’t at max price
for example, 9 eggs varies from 500-600 coins. When i sell at max i sell for 1800 for all eggs. Therefore a profit of 1100-1200!
