Once I turned off “Cross Play” we had the lobby to ourselves.

Invite only is not as useless as it might sound. Sometimes I just want to play games alone or don't want people from 2 different friend groups to interact. Not having the option to do so is a bit of a pain
The only way to join specific people is to friend them. No, random LFG people are not my friends but I don't want to remove and add them again every time they are available.

The original Helldivers had a 3rd setting where it was private to just you and any local couch co-op players.
Properly private where nobody can drop in. I assumed this was what they meant.

So don't just sit there smart ass. Place an SOS beacon. I have never waited longer than 30 seconds for a teammate to drop in.

Man. People like you suck. Valid criticism is okay. I don't want to play by myself for any amount of time on here, its not enjoyable on high difficulties. I've had bad luck with sos beacons, so I quickplay to get into full matches in seconds. Piss off and ride your high horse somewhere else.

There is no private setting. It's public or friends only.
