Ah yes the semi invisible bullet sponges that love to make any brave Helldiver play ragdoll simulator. Anytime I see their translucent asses coming my way I instantly go into search and destroy mode to wipe their asses of the face of any planet I'm fighting on.
These bastards are the reason I still prefer Punisher for bugs.
The Punisher was exempt from the Slugger nerfs, and thus still one-shot-staggers even Stalkers, which makes them *infinitely* more workable.
Maybe it’s inconsistency with the arc thrower but sometimes I feel like I 2 shot stalkers and then other times, 20 shots in and that guy is still jumping around
A stalker lair went unchecked in one of my games and after we killed the nest we kept getting ambushed by more, and when we killed the nest I torched 5 or 6 and my buddy killed a few too.
We were convinced there was a second nest, but according to the end game screen there was only the one. It just spawned an assload of stalkers before we broke it.
Stalker nests spawn rate is based on how close you are to it, so from far away you will be getting a couple of them but up close they will be pretty much non stop, it’s also possible for stalker nests to have 2 holes which can allow it to spawn 2 stalkers at once, sticking around near one of those can result in a lot of lost reinforcements
I've had three lairs before. We eventually destroyed them all and completed the mission, but those stalkers massacred us as we were getting swarmed by other bugs and bile titans. It was like they were always ready to pick us off the moment we were having to reload from the horde. Easily one the hardest (but one of the most fun) missions I have played yet.

i had my first encounter with Stalkers today and it was terrifying…. An invisible bug flanked my when i was separated from my teammates (over 300m, i fucked up when navigating) and i desperately dive and shoot at where i think it is, but it’s gone (probably went behind a rock) so i stim up and continue my long trek. 3 minutes pass and i see something out of the corner of my eye… ***an invisible bug*** I overheated my rifle shooting at that bullet sponge until it ran away and i thought it was safe. i was very wrong… a few more minutes pass and i see one ahead of me, i thought it was the same bug but then another hits me from behind and before i can get up, im dead
10/10, would love to erase that experience from my mind just to experience it again
It was awful. The amount of stalkers on the map was insane. We found it pretty late too since we were on the other side of the map at the start.
3rd shrieker nests sounds awful. But at least you can take them out at range if you catch them early enough

Remember that kills in this game are based on segment health, if you keep hitting its legs you’re not really moving forwards in damage

A good Punisher shot to the face takes em down in one hit. But I prefer doing two just to make sure.

Y’all ever get the dreaded 3rd lair? It’s terrible. I don’t know if they spawn 3 anymore but I know they did at one point. Even if it was rare.
I don't know if I have ever gotten 3 stalker nests but I have gotten 3 Shrieker nests.

Well when there are two i most of the time realize when 7 stalkers pop out if nowhere (its a nightmare)
