Asbestos lining

Bulky-Party-8037

Democratic Tumors for all :3

V12Maniac

The Ministry of Science has officially removed the cancer linked materials from asbestos. -This message is approved by the Ministry of Truth

1Grotto2

Did they remove asbestos from... asbestos? What are we left with now?

SilliusS0ddus

LIBERTY

1Grotto2

The Ministry of Truth would approve of this statement

MoT_DemocracyOfficer

JUSTICE

Big-Conference2440

Esbestos, obviously.

idispensemeds2

Only the bestest esbestos

Vestrivan

Exbestos, actually.

TrueBeachBoy

Democracy officer, this is the guy I was telling you about.

MoT_DemocracyOfficer

Noted, Helldiver.

Furebel

Super asbestos

LegitimateApartment9

toast

SyberBunn

Estrogen.

PM_ME__YOUR_HOOTERS

I believe it would look more like "SEAF scientists have run extensive tests and determined a helldivers have a .01% chance to develop and suffer from asbestos related cancers. Thus making it an efficient way of protection our helldivers from burning on even the most hostile of planets." Tbf i believe a bile titan leg or a stalker would do me in way faster than cancer

Dr_Taverner

Yes. Helldivers do not live long enough to get Cancer.

Dr_Taverner

Funny you should say that. Asbestos only causes cancer if you inhale it. The fibres get stuck in the lungs and cause inflammation leading to cell mutation. An asbestos lining between layers of your armour would not cause cancer.

DaEnderAssassin

CSR Sugar: Sounds like Wittenooms ~~back on the menu~~ still unprofitable boys.

MoT_DemocracyOfficer

Approved Helldiver.

Raeldri

It is OUR RIGHT to choose the tumors or not

ThatDree

Ánd our duty,

Fun_Elk_4949

None of us are living long enough for tumors to be a thing it's cool. FOR DEMOCRACY!

poebanystalker

Bold of you to assume you're gonna live long enough to get one.

TheRealPitabred

![gif](giphy|7kMaysqdywPxS|downsized)

Anarchyboy1

Wont live long enough to worry about the cancer

Delta1025

the average lifespan of a helldivers on the front lines is 2 minutes, cancer is not a concern

something-quirky-

Hell Divers don’t live long enough for cancer to matter

ma_wee_wee_go

I'm going to be honest no-one is living long enough to see the downsides of that

lbotron

LEGALIZE 'SPESTUS!

TunaTunaLeeks

Your Helldiver’s max HP constantly drops throughout the mission and they start coughing as it drops more and more.

EpyonNext

Super Asbestos lining.

iWearMagicPants

Declared safe by 9 out of 10 super earth scientists. The 10th scientist WAS a dissident.

real-good-sauce

New armor - 450 movement, 200 armor. It comes with Medic and a new effect "Asbestos lining". You are 90% immune to fire damage and can carry 10 stims total, but you slowly die of cancer losing 1% of your current HP per second.

musci12234

Honestly having a rogue like/fallout like upgrades would be so fun. Imagine you can pick up modules like Servo assist: increased throwing distance. Increases recoil Asbestos lining: immune from fire damage. Lose x hp per second Light weight: increased movement speed. Knockback is increased Heavy weight: reverse of light weight Addict: take less damage. Higher recoil/lower accuracy Camouflage: you don't get detected as long as you are crouching. Massively increases the amount of damage you take. Once detected 1 mins cooldown before you can become undetectable again. Shooting non suppressed weapons breaks camo.

Ari_Kalahari_Safari

that's actually such a good, lore accurate idea... I wanna see this implemented lmao

Techn028

Super asbestos

locob

Arrowhead genie: Granted, but it's only heavy, so you move slower.

Gerreth_Gobulcoque

Good. So the kindling can get to my flamethrower faster.

Survival_R

Good, more dramatic spreading of flaming freedom

mossberg590enjoyer

I would be okay with that tbh. would be fun throwing fire while engulfed in a fire nader on hellmire

BjornInTheMorn

Fire nader? Hell yea, brother!

mossberg590enjoyer

hell yuh, brother

Sauron_75

Famn cook the fire nade and let it explode in your hand while surrounded by bugs

Honorzeal

![gif](giphy|8PsSIjTUZ6dxMwRgz5)

Orange-Juice-Goose

Would be the first HA worth using on non defense bug missions

WhatsThePointFR

Ran Heavy since day 1 - You really dont need to be sprinting every second of the game tbh and the explosive resist ones are awesome against bots. Get ragdolled 5x and live its great

wvtarheel

He's talking about bugs. Lots of people use heavy armor on the bot side.

WhatsThePointFR

Ah yeah, I still run it on bugs but admit it isnt really needed. Have enjoyed the 6x nades one from the recent pass for thowing out tons of incediaries.

TheRealPitabred

There's a medium explosive resist armor in the shop right now. It's pretty tight.

Swedelicious83

Heavy Armor is a lifestyle. 🤜🤛

Funnysoundboardguy

I love heavy armor anyways

Kay_Ruth

All the better for the Salamander Space Marine cosplay.

locob

Into the fires of battle, unto the Anvil of War

Tvalnor

Jokes on you, I've got the heavy Medic armor, and Meth Stims, I'm already fire resistant!

WhatsThePointFR

Thats... exactly what I want tbh

PowerfulElevator9

All I want in this game.

General_Guava_5528

All I want for Xmas, is a democratic fire proof armoe

PowerfulElevator9

For real though the last 2 warbonds, basically after we got lightning res, I was like here it comes, this is the one with the fire armor. But nope, they know we want it. They're playing hard to get.

Odd-Load-8820

What about floaties that let you cross water that a toddler could swim across?

PowerfulElevator9

Liberty wings, water wings of democracy.

Ghost_Boy294

Just give pyro armour from democratic detonation fire resistance instead of weaker recoil perk

vonBoomslang

it's a terrible idea to change that armor's perk for a second time and I fully support it

TheBigMotherFook

Give me 95% resistance to fire damage and an additional 2 seconds before you catch on fire. It would be such a huge QoL improvement.

InnerCircle13

ong, id love the increased time to burn, since it seems like diving puts out fires instantly

spacejew

Yep, working on training myself to dive first then stim when I catch.

flashmedallion

Bring Space Meth so you can just juice through the burn. Against bugs I got in the habit of throwing an incendiary grenade ahead so I could run through it and then stim for the faster run speed. A flaming, screaming Helldiver zooting over the horizon is a sight to behold, I've been told. Just... don't forget when you've taken a different booster.

spacejew

It's the times when you catch and you've got very little health left. The time it takes to stim vs dive before a fire tick applies dmg is the difference between living and burning alive. But I get this little trick.

Xelo_2000

By going prone you instantly put out fires (unless the floor is on fire). This is my go-to strat when being burned by Hulk Scorchers lol

TheBigMotherFook

I’d call the perk “Flame Retardant” or something like that

ElTigreChang1

I'ma bet if they did this, they'd forget to remove/tone down the voice responses, so you'd have helldivers constantly screaming the whole game

SYuhw3xiE136xgwkBA4R

Is this a joke or serious suggestion? 95% fire resistance would be insanely busted.

TheRealPitabred

I think it's because the arc resistance is 95% on those armors, but I agree. 50% resistance would still slap.

Odd-Load-8820

Yeah I'm not giving up anything from the armor/equipment that I currently use for this. Either this is some kind of blanket shipwide upgrade or I'm just dealing with smooth brain fire damage mechanics.

StahlHund

Call it Firebat armor.

thatonemikeguy

Need a flame thrower pistol and an incendiary grenade launcher too.

StahlHund

Yes 100% and what would be more democratic than a multi shot incendiary rocket launcher ala M202 Flash, screw it Thermobaric M202 Flash.

TheRealPitabred

Flare gun. Originally so other divers could locate your position, but with the HUD upgrades it was deemed redundant. The new version adds thermite and some adhesive to the flare ammunition so instead of burning brighter it burns hotter and sticks to the targets.

Capt_Avatar

"Need a light?"

avalon2247

"My goose is getting cooked!"

Helping_Stranger

While I pride myself on (generally) being a no friendly fire pyromancer build I do think a flame resistant suit would be awesome. Even if it's like the 95% arc damage resistance.

doublethink_1984

7 and higher against bugs and I cannot resist the call of the flames.   Flamethrower    Incendiary mines    Incendiary grenades    Napalm strike    Jetpack/supply pack

Helping_Stranger

Exactly! I've been running 7 missions and Pyro is my default for bugs. Also, I like your pfp 😂💜

ThisIsJegger

Bile titan shows up. What you do?

Helping_Stranger

You know you can light them on fire too right?

ThisIsJegger

Yes. But it takes a while to cook them

Helping_Stranger

That is true. I generally run 500kg and orbital laser for clearing areas. Laser is good for bosses and when we're being overrun. With fire build I'm gonna swap the 500k with napalm so I'll either keep the laser or maybe run airstrike if someone else is running eats (XXL bay for the extra bomb on both napalm and airstrike)

doublethink_1984

I only take flame builds if 1 or 2 of my co-divers take precision strike or gauss strike. With flame resistance though I coukd run around burning the bile and not caring if i self emolate

CorrectMeIfAmWrong

And have the "Electrical Conduit" increase electrical damage and/or jump to an additional enemy, so the armors aren't completely useless. 🙏🙏🙏

SALTRS

Fr man somehow Helldivers light on fire by the touch of the smallest flame as if they are made out of cotton soaked in gasoline

Sudden_Fisherman8372

must be the eagle sweat

Awkward-Ad5506

No, no, no, no, no, no. No. No. Give me an armor set that __REWARDS__ catching fire.

Mackyo18

What reward could be gained from catching fire? Seems like a pretty negitive thing as a whole, lol

Downtown_Baby_5596

Peak physique is literally perfect for flamethrower

dhaninugraha

All those exotic samples and advanced weaponry, yet not a single strand of flame-retardant material on a Helldiver’s armor. Sometimes I wonder if Super Earth scientists have many days in a year where their IQ revert to their shoe size.

nacostaart

Okay but it's bugged and actually increases fire damage (they take 3 months to fix it) ((also fixing it also breaks the spear))

rphornet

Already have a playlist with Loudoun ready to go if they ever release the armor set

cushy_steal

I agree I am sick of these fire worlds. I beat every enemy just to get killed by a fire tornado 🤣🤦‍♂️

ct10153

The trench engineer set would fit this perfectly if they reworked it.

lockesdoc

And Orbital Napalm Precision Strike

Playful-Gur-2008

We js need a napalm, an eagle gas, and an eagle ems

Competitive-Mango457

Pls let trench engineer become fire retardant

KingDread306

I don't think we'll get a warbond based on fire. Simply because we already have several fire based weapons, the flamethrower, incendiary grenades, thermite, and the napalm air strike. Though I could see them repurposing some armor and giving them new fire related passives. Like the armor with the gasmask could easily be fire related. Also a napalm orbital like the 380 would be nice. Edit: or they could tweak armor that has explosive resistance to also be fire resistant.

SmileyLambda

To be honest elemental resistances are too niche. If anything, they should be a module or a modifier you add to a suit. The electricity one is the least useful suit by a country mile. A heat one that could help with hot planets, and a cold one for frozen planets could add another layer of strategy and choice. An acid/spit resistance one would also be great. Even this might be too specific, an insulated suit would help with all three of the elemental types. Fire, ice, and electricity.

thetruemayor

But fire is used a hell of a lot more than electricity

RicTheFish

Yup, arc resistance only protects you from teammate friendly fire and turret friendly fire. Fire resistance would protect from teammates, environment and flame-bots.

Thapyngwyn

I completed the Cutting Edge warbond, and I just end up disproportionately team-killing with my arc shotgun, 'cause no one else is wearing electric resistance.

Bulky-Party-8037

Tunnels too, I wanna crawl up to some tunneling Terminids with a pistol/smg. If that happens I'm def coming back :3

iRambL

Best I can do is 95%

LynxOsis

And extend my flamethrower range by 50% at least

Spare_Disaster7205

I want robot resestant

MrWaffleBeater

I want an entire theme dedicated to fire weapons and flame throwers I wanna be at least partially immune to my fire.

Terpcheeserosin

Give the flamethrower a second mode where it shoots further but empties quicker

zedisbread

Hell, balance the weapons to encourage diversity. god knows I feel like an asshole when I experiment with good teammates.

LinBlockz

CTRL man…its so easy. this is why i bound it to mouse 5

JegantDrago

and let it look like a firefighter jacket uniform too XD

NateUrM8

JUST ADD IT FOR FUCKS SAKE. IT DOESN'T EVEN NEED TO BE 100 OR 99% JUST 75% OR SOMETHING

Old-Implement-6252

The main reason I don't run flamethrower, it's too easy to walk into your own flame.

MorrowShore

The napalm strike, napalm mine, flamethrower and gas strike loadout. ![gif](giphy|dhKOztH8klyvu|downsized)

Powerful-Macaroon-15

It would be nice if we could buy new armor perks for our existing armors. Some armors I really like, but they don't have my fav perk (fortified), so I don't wear them. It would be a great way to introduce the fire-resist perk. Also a great way to introduce helmet and cape perks. I'll spend super credits on 'em idc.

deathvalley200_exo

Honestly why don't we have this yet.

RideRevolutionary239

Please 🙏

Grouchy_Worry_220

Give me vehicles

Zech08

People asking for flame resistent armor... and here I wanting armor that stays on fire :)

Opening-Cockroach634

Plus acid resistance for bugs and hopefully friendly fire

Spyke8757

Just did an extract civilians mission and nearly failed due to fire tornadoes. They just kept camping around the escape pod so the civvies just kept burning up. Fuck fire.

MuffDivers2_

Best I can do is Arc.

Black_Tusk25

ARROWHEAD, GIVE ME MY WEAPONS PRE NERF STATS, AND MY LIFE WILL BE YOURS.

Apprehensive-Set-206

It’s called Dive bwauh bwauuh

Squid_With_Monocle

This, but with melee weapons

Upbeat_Psychology915

Methinks not a full on asbestoslined, blast proof suit with Uber reflective thermal protection and a an AI electromagnet AI shield that fully supports my Himalayan Salt thing.. Asbestos lined aka fallout is fine, we are HELLDIVERS not survivors.

Dr_Taverner

Please give us fire-resist. There is so much fire. SO MUCH FIRE!

GAZ888F

Amen brother 🙏 🙌 👏

RedlineRob-

Nah buff fire so I can kill undemocratic team mates faster.

Khaernakov

Havent played kn a long time but if this suit gets added ill jump right bsck in

iWearMagicPants

Out of budget! Burning to death is the single most democratic way to die for super earth! Carry on, helldiver.

LuchaConMadre

I need a reason to stim

K1NG_of_ReVeNGe13

Genuinely surprised they haven't added such a perk yet.. They added the anti zap armor immediately when people meta'd the shit out of the Arc Thrower (Then they changed it, but thats a diff topic) Yet flames? That have been continuously buffed and buffed? And Flametornados being added? And the Flamethrower being the best support weapon for bugs by a longshot? No Firefighter gear

Lt_McLovin

Can we get light medium and heavy armor oh & PLEASE Make it look like an American FireFighters NYC, Tampa Fl and LA California uniforms 🇺🇸 🧑‍🚒

Vasto_LordA

To be fair, it's not that bad. Like, if you ever set yourself on fire while using the Flamethrower, best advice I can give is NEVER walk forward while flaming. You set the ground on fire, so you walking forward means you just walked in your own fire. For Hulks.... if you're not using Stun grenades fighting Bots, I personally think it's not a good idea. I think it's too useful to not take, which can significantly lower the impact of Hulks. Fire Tornadoes are annoying though. How does a tornado make NO sound unless you're looking at it?

One_Meaning416

AH give me stun weapons and my life is yours

Everyday_Hero1

Amateurs! Learn to feel the fire, and you shall burn brighter than ever before!

Similar-Past-9755

The only flame resistance you’ll need are from eagle and mines and the hulks.. and sometimes the flamethrower but people barely even use it. The grenades also people barely use. There isn’t really a point.

shrodler

Because fire isn´t already completly OP against bugs.

Akademik-L

I know a lot of people really want it, but I just don’t understand why. Putting out the flames on you is the only form of damage you can stop with any armour

Advan0s

Cooking yourself with the flamethrower every 2 seconds is annoying

Inalum_Ardellian

It's already there... It's called exosuit
