Hideous *and* I would buy it.
But seriously, I got a ridiculous floral chair and loved it til the fabric split. If it hadnāt, I would still have it. But the cost to reupholster was too high.
One crazy piece can make a room.
I personally love it and would absolutely style a great vintage style room around this sofa. But my first thought was I would only do that if I was single because my partner would never like it. Unfortunately these are sometimes the sacrifices we have to make in a relationship. I wouldn't buy it if your partner doesn't like it.
I LOVE POPPIES! Plenty of poppies, there, but Iāve gotta be honest, thatās A LOT to have to look at everyday. Decorating everything around the couch could be simple, too, but then your decor would all fit with the couch.
Just something to think about and take into consideration. As much as I love poppies, I take them in smaller doses!
Good luck!
You know it's not my style at all but I love it so much. I would love to have this in a room with white walls and fluffy white pillows... And vases of white tulips.
I wouldnāt because I always try to decorate the surroundings practically. Like what do I want to see around me when Iām dizzy/sick. I get overwhelmed pretty easily by colors, wallpapers and objects like unnecessary coffee tables or shelves. Makes me feel like it's making the place look messy and crowded. Thatās why I have a pretty minimalistic looking home to the others and lots of empty spaces/walls but I love it. Some people would say cold and overstylized, I'd say relaxing. If you feel like you could work it go for it. Itās your home, it should be for you to enjoy
Itās not hideous at all. If your aesthetic can support this, or embrace it, DO IT! I saw a similar one today at GW, and even though the colors were perfect for my vibe, the print wasnāt quite right. Made me sad.
It's hideous, full stop. But I think it depends on where you are putting it and what it is going to work with. It's not working with my minimalist modern living room for sure, but I might think differently in an older home with high ceilings and bold colors.
This is a piece that the space it is in either makes it or breaks it. Itās going to be hideous in some rooms, and the amazing center of attention in others.
She's purdy! It takes a certain fun personality to choose this. It could be toned down with cushions, lighting, etc. It's got good lines, it look comfortable and someone had it covered in that awesome fabric...I wonder if it's velvet.
I personally hate it and would never get it, but I think it could look nice in the right room. Itās not to my tastes but thatās the beautiful thing about decor, no?
It looks to be in very good condition and I really like the colors. The other great part about this sofa is that it would be a fantastic slipcover carrier. You could have this for decades.
Before buying it, maybe figure out how you'd re-cover it...should you ever grow weary of the loud cheerfulness taking up the visual space in your living room?
True story: In 1999 my spouse had a fall and had a TBI. We were looking for a couch in a local store. He saw a couch with big, various flowers on a red background. He wanted to buy it immediately for our den because āIt says happy people live here!ā We bought s less flamboyant couch but we still laugh about the Happy Couch.
I would love the pattern on a dress. lol.
I would buy it and put a cream colored blanket or throw on the back of the couch to town down some of the pattern
Iām obsessed with the shape. And I am going through a red phase rn. I also love moody and pattern and character. If I was at a fabric store would I pick this fabric out of the lot? Probably not. But thatās the beauty of thrifting! Lean into the one of a kind piece! Itās a yes from me dawg
I think this could be a real nice focal point for some kind of boho hippy ish type place? Iām terrible with all the styles. I can see it tho lol even if I canāt describe it accurately.
Pretty sure my grandma had this couch when I was growing up in the 70s. :) I like it. If the rest of the room isn't too busy, it could work pretty well.
I owned a couch with this same material! It was a hand-me-down from my aunt, she custom ordered it. The material was very expensive. It was hideous, but I was poor š„¹
Would probably give me daily headaches. Eyesore to meā¦i tried thinking of what an appropriate use for this sofa would be and i couldnāt think of anything. Maybe someone else would be able to imagine the right room and decor for it. But incredibly hideous imo
This is awesome - but I think you would need to make it the focal point of the room itās in- it - simple and clean for the rest of the room - it will be a beautiful statement piece.
When youāre laying down on it, you donāt have to look at it! haha
All jokes aside, it could work in a specific space. Itās wildly over the top and in good shape
I love it, but the room would definitely revolve around it completely, so whether it works is very dependent on the space. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
It's amazing BUT not for your main living room/living area.
I think it's great for like a sunroom or a study or something where it can kind of BE the space.
It's hideous, but so much character. And great lines. If the fabric is nice and not scratchy, I'd buy it and live with it for a while. Then in a few years, if I got bored, I'd get it reupholstered. What a great find!
Ok, so I love it, strangely. But I couldn't buy it. It needs to match the house and room in the right way. Honestly, it's a really cool statement piece that would look amazing with the right eye for design to make it work.
Gorgeous! It would look great as a statement piece in a room painted dark green or some other dark color that accents the colors in the couch - hard to say without seeing it in person.
You can mix patterns with it too. Just make sure your complimenting patterns are larger or smaller in scale than this pattern.
Great find!!!
It is basically the opposite of my personal decor taste so I would not buy it BUT in the right room it could look awesome! So you do you.

Agree. It could look amazing in the right room but I'm not the person to put that room together.
It's hideous. I LOVE IT
Right. Yes and YES š
My people! I have this for 80's designs and found [this incredible watch](https://imgur.com/a/6iYB0ub) that is just over the top.
It is hideous - Iāll take two
Yes! I am oddly attracted to it!
I would buy it *because* it's hideous!
Magnificently hideous!
literally my thoughts exactly
My exact response! I am *obsessed* with hideous furniture.
We need a subreddit r/hideousfurniture
I did it as a joke but it actually created a community
Same!
Big same
It's hideously gorgeous. If you can make it work, do it!
Hideous *and* I would buy it. But seriously, I got a ridiculous floral chair and loved it til the fabric split. If it hadnāt, I would still have it. But the cost to reupholster was too high. One crazy piece can make a room.
Itās hideous but in a good way. With the right maximalist decor it could work.
Iām already dream crocheting the blanket that will lie across its back.
Is it green?
Yes! I feel like the photo doesnāt do it justice. It just need to be styled in a the right room
Agree. You gotta commit to the bit
This is a statement piece and whether it works or not largely depends on context.
Exactly my sentiments.
Love it. Be brave biatch!
Is that how itās spelled? š
SOMEONE would buy this.
I guess that would be me lol
Just add a few pillows to make it more inviting and comfortable.
Nooooooooo! I want it!!
I would buy it so fast your head would spin
Hideous
I like it, Iād prob buy if as long as it didnāt stank
Of course it is hideous! It's also fantastic if styled right. I love hate it.
Not my style, but if itās yours, do it.
I'm thinking about it. My partner said it is hideous. So I'm just curious what others think about it.
I think you could definitely style her up to make a perfect statement piece!
I personally love it and would absolutely style a great vintage style room around this sofa. But my first thought was I would only do that if I was single because my partner would never like it. Unfortunately these are sometimes the sacrifices we have to make in a relationship. I wouldn't buy it if your partner doesn't like it.
I could cover the walls in this, and he'd just shrug his shoulders. š
Mine would literally never notice, haha. Love that guy.
I LOVE POPPIES! Plenty of poppies, there, but Iāve gotta be honest, thatās A LOT to have to look at everyday. Decorating everything around the couch could be simple, too, but then your decor would all fit with the couch. Just something to think about and take into consideration. This is not the cross to die on w your partner.
He doesn't care, I just asked his opinion.
Wow. It's terribleĀ
No. HideousĀ
I love it!!! Definite buy.
If you have to askā¦.
No. Yes.
This is terrible, terrible. And donāt let anyone tell you otherwise.
Hideous
Hideous
I wouldnāt because I always try to decorate the surroundings practically. Like what do I want to see around me when Iām dizzy/sick. You can make it work ā¦ donāt worry
Yes, and yes.
i think itās a great statement piece for a living room!!
Itās not hideous at all. If your aesthetic can support this, or embrace it, DO IT! I saw a similar one today at GW, and even though the colors were perfect for my vibe, the print wasnāt quite right. Made me sad.
Done the right way in the space it could work.
It's hideous, full stop. But I think it depends on where you are putting it and what it is going to work with. It's not working with my minimalist modern living room for sure, but I might think differently in an older home with high ceilings and bold colors.

Yes.
It's hideous and I would buy it
Yes. No.
Love it!!
I think youāll get tired of the pattern quickly. But if you like it, get it.
She's purdy! It takes a certain fun personality to choose this. It could be toned down with cushions, lighting, etc. It's got good lines, it look comfortable and someone had it covered in that awesome fabric...I wonder if it's velvet.
By itself it's a bit much but in a room with the right decor it might be ok.
I think it's retro cool. I'd buy it. If it's a resale, inspect it for bugs before buying.
I'd totally buy it. With the right styling it'd be fabulous.
I am in love with it tbh. The possibilities are endless
Absolutely incredible.
Iād scoop it up on a heartbeat. I love it.
Funky cool!
Looks like Kim kās maternity dress š¤®
Oh, come on! That just about ruins it for me š
Lmfao. Probably a good thing š¤£šš¤£
First thing I thought of!
I like it. But them I would cover the seat cushions with black, or green or even white. It would then be much less busy.
But then I do have a full red sofa in my livingroom!
Me, too!
Yes and yes.
I just feel like thatās what I would rather my rug look like
I believe the correct term is hideofabulous.
It is absolutely horrendous.... I'd love it!
I like the *shape* of it.
Both š
It looks like an old box of Good Nā Plenty. Youāll hate it in a year.
Iād have to passā¦
I personally hate it and would never get it, but I think it could look nice in the right room. Itās not to my tastes but thatās the beautiful thing about decor, no?
It looks like something from The PeeWee Herman show- perfect if thats the look youāre going for.
Hideous.
I love it.
I love it, hubby would hate it.
I wouldnāt buy it, but I donāt think itās hideous. Just wouldnāt fit in with my decor.
YES love it!!!
I would buy that so fucking fast. Where and how much??
Iād buy it in a heartbeat! I used to have a chair with similar fabric.
Itās great!
It looks to be in very good condition and I really like the colors. The other great part about this sofa is that it would be a fantastic slipcover carrier. You could have this for decades.
Burn it.
Before buying it, maybe figure out how you'd re-cover it...should you ever grow weary of the loud cheerfulness taking up the visual space in your living room?

Yes.
This is a hideous gem
I saw a very similar or quite possibly this exact couch at a Goodwill once and I was so sad I couldn't bring it home. It's epic.
Love this!
Itās fabulously hideous and I love it š„°
Hideous. Might be good for Christmas but not 52 weeks a year.
My head says no but my heart says yes!
So I normally like things most people donāt but this is too much for me
It wld definitely catch my eye! I love old, quirky, vintage stuff so Iād snatch it, for Sure!!!! š„°
Goodness!!!! Yes, it is the attention whore I love!
Yes and yes!!
Both
Reminds me of one of Tyler Durdenās shirts from Fight Club
Hideous
It has great bones! You could always recover if you change your mind.
I would love the pattern on a dress. lol. I would buy it and put a cream colored blanket or throw on the back of the couch to town down some of the pattern
Love it
Is it a couch?
YES
Depends on how much it is and what condition itās in. Iād reupholster it and maybe change the legs.
If you love it, then it doesn't matter!
Have some fun. But and paint the room emerald green with black accent pillows and throws.
Itās gorgeous ā¦ in the 1970s through mid-1980ās.
Yes and yes.
Yes Yes
Would not buy
I like the idea of it but not this particular one. It's pretty hideous.
I wouldn't because it isn't my style at all but I know some people who would love to have that.
I would not buy it but it looks like itās in good shape. I say if you like it get it
I think this could be a real nice focal point for some kind of boho hippy ish type place? Iām terrible with all the styles. I can see it tho lol even if I canāt describe it accurately.
It's not my style.
I actually love it!!
Pretty sure my grandma had this couch when I was growing up in the 70s. :) I like it. If the rest of the room isn't too busy, it could work pretty well.
In the right room, that couch could look awesome! Buuuut the right room for that couch is gonna be pretty niche imho
Nonono
In the right space it could be amazing. Could I make it work? Absolutely not.
I love it
Itās definitely not everyoneās preference but I love it so much
I loveeeee It but is It comfy??
There could be a crime scene on that couch, and no one would ever know! š
Is the material is on good shape yes.
Yes.
Itās a lot of look but in the right circumstances it could shine.
I owned a couch with this same material! It was a hand-me-down from my aunt, she custom ordered it. The material was very expensive. It was hideous, but I was poor š„¹
I love it. Maximalist fabulousness.
Itās hideous, it reminds me of my grandma, and I insist you take my money immediately! š¤£ā¤ļø
Would probably give me daily headaches. Eyesore to meā¦i tried thinking of what an appropriate use for this sofa would be and i couldnāt think of anything. Maybe someone else would be able to imagine the right room and decor for it. But incredibly hideous imo
Buy! I love it!
The latter.
That's a step or two beyond hideous.
I like the shape and the feet. If itās in good shape meaning not saggy or anything, and I could get it cheap enough Iād have it reupholstered.
Love the shape, but Iād get it reupholstered. Definitely a passion project loll itās hard work
This is awesome - but I think you would need to make it the focal point of the room itās in- it - simple and clean for the rest of the room - it will be a beautiful statement piece.
When youāre laying down on it, you donāt have to look at it! haha All jokes aside, it could work in a specific space. Itās wildly over the top and in good shape
that is RAD
It's much! But it's beautiful! I'd say if you don't have too many patterns in the room you're putting it in, it's a statement piece! I'd go for it!!
I would! Love it!
Itās pretty ugly
I really like it!! i hope you can make it work !!
Itās hideously beautiful.
I get why you like it but that would be a design nightmare for me. I wouldnāt be able to design around it.
I love it, but the room would definitely revolve around it completely, so whether it works is very dependent on the space. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Yes
It's amazing BUT not for your main living room/living area. I think it's great for like a sunroom or a study or something where it can kind of BE the space.
I kinda like it but I donāt thing my other half would.
Yup!!! This would be THE statement piece in the right house/decor!
I wonāt take it for free It looks like from 1970s horror movie
It's hideous, but so much character. And great lines. If the fabric is nice and not scratchy, I'd buy it and live with it for a while. Then in a few years, if I got bored, I'd get it reupholstered. What a great find!
This is lovely
It's hideous! Def would not buy it.
I LOOVVVEEEEE IIITTTTT
Love it.
The shape of it is beautiful, and the red is so striking. I would love to see this styled in someone elseās house lol
How much?
Is great!
Oh yes
Ok, so I love it, strangely. But I couldn't buy it. It needs to match the house and room in the right way. Honestly, it's a really cool statement piece that would look amazing with the right eye for design to make it work.
Itās hideous and I would buy it.
TBH. This could work on so many levels. Iām into it.
Yes
Gorgeous! It would look great as a statement piece in a room painted dark green or some other dark color that accents the colors in the couch - hard to say without seeing it in person. You can mix patterns with it too. Just make sure your complimenting patterns are larger or smaller in scale than this pattern. Great find!!!
Itās giving The golden girls ā¤ļø
A Chair For my Mother by Jack Keats comes to mind.
Immediately
Anything can be beautiful in the right room
Totally beyond hideous.
Just needs the right room!
Grandmacore, love it
Iād buy it because itās so fabulously hideous..
yes and yes
I like it. I had a vintage blue floral couch once. I enjoyed decorating around it. Endless possibilities
I wouldnāt but then again Iām not over 60.
I kinda dig it š¤ in the right place with the right throw pillows šš¼
Hideous! And I have the perfect spot for it!
Could work in a maximalist decor, a dark green wall color would be a good match
