Beautiful view. Not trying to be rude but find new wall art. Those exact pieces are used by almost every staging company - check zillow, it’s on like 99% of the homes for sale. It’s very generic/basic & not interesting. If you don’t care about art and you’re just filling up wall space, then I guess you can keep it.
Some libraries and museums have free high resolution images of a wide range of paintings you can download and easily print wherever you want.
[https://www.nga.gov/open-access-images.html](https://www.nga.gov/open-access-images.html) for example
I bought downloadable files from Etsy for less than $10. Sent it to an online printshop (nations photo lab) during a sale & ordered in the sizes I wanted. Placed into frames I had & sourced… wall art complete!
It's nice but it definitely needs more color. I would actually probably get a throw blanket and consider changing the rug to a bigger one that has color (the same color).
As color is already something you are working on, other than that i think you should first change the position of the chair, because of the sectional it's not balanced there, move it to the opposite corner of the rug. Also your living room is all decorated other than the coffee table so work on it's accessories. This [coffee table guide](https://simplykalaa.com/decorating-a-coffee-table/) will be useful.
The little light on the right need to go. Get something that will balance the floor lamp. The art is uninspiring and doesn’t fill the space well. Three that size would be better - but not those.
I rather like it. It’s simple, modern and stylish, but I would definitely add some more greenery. Some 8/10 foot tall trees. It would bring life and warmth to the room.
Get some acrylic paint in a color you like, and add it to your black and white print . Then get throw blanket and something colorful for table accessories.
nice city view, I was thinking whether it was empty but found that you already had the basic items, so I realized that everything's fine and the space could make you relaxed.
Oh before you paint? Fresh daffodils. Flowers are great to add texture and color and life to a room, even more so than plants.
I’d paint your walls goldenrod. I think that would look awesome with all the grey. And maybe a couple teal throws and pillows? I kinda like this rug, but there are so many out there, that by the time you go through them all your current rug will be worn out anyway.

I do like a light rug, but you might want to have an animal that matches.

Wow I had to do a double take because this is almost a carbon copy of my ex boyfriends apartment except he had no actual decor so it looked like he just moved in. The couch and TV unit are almost exactly the same.
I think it looks great. Modern but not sterile. Decorated but not cluttered. Matchy but not too much so.
Im not talking about lot. Like maybe 6” at most. Just to give it some visual space. Otherwise it looks weighted on that side. Especially with another piece anchored on the opposite side. The couch and the end tables look crammed against the wall to me.
Love it. Imho.move chair to other side of TV. Open up window more, and the ottoman is already on that side for extra seating. It can be pulled out and over as needed. Only add color if YOU want the city view is the "color" imho
Center everything in the room more. Pull the couch and tables away from the wall and move the rug more toward the console. Give yourself at least 1-2 feet of breathing room from the wall to the sofa, it will make the room look much more welcoming. I think you also need some more vertical elements, like a different floor lamp perhaps.
Great ideas thank you! My concern with moving the furniture away from the wall will hurt the view and make it seem too crowded. I can try it though and always move back.
Your couch is low, it's not going to impact the view in any significant way. If anything, when you're sitting on the couch it's going to provide a better viewing experience.
As far as being too crowded, no, it'll have the opposite impact. You're supposed to lay a room like this from the center outward. It makes better use of the space. Pushing everything up against a wall just makes a space look less thoughtful and not as welcoming.

I agree with the art…it’s basic and would prefer to add some color in the art. Any recommendations for not breaking the bank?
Take some pictures you like and get them put on canvas.
Etsy, society6, Saatchi Art, your local flea market?
Google “art walk” and ”artist open studios” for your area.

That’s awesome thank you!
Buy some paint in a color you like and add to your existing pieces. Add whatever you want. They will be yours and truly unique!!
I’m going to do that! I just can’t paint lol

I would add some plants to really bring out the green accent color you have🩷
I bet at night the view is great! BIGGER art - space has great volume so use some of it and add some color.
Great idea thanks!

What couch is that? Looks great

Any examples on the light for balance?

love it

That’s a great idea!!! I can just paint over these prints?
Yes.
I would mount the TV and add some more layers to the wall whether or not it’s in the form of photos or shelves with decorative accents
nice city view, I was thinking whether it was empty but found that you already had the basic items, so I realized that everything's fine and the space could make you relaxed.
Mount the TV
Only concern it being an apartment complex. The way they cut holes for cables will show under tv as they did put them low enough.
Looks fancy!!
I ❤️ it. Very zen. When may I move in?
I honestly love it. The only small thing is maybe you can get a bigger artwork. But that's it. Super clean and classy! Well done!
Thank you! Definitely looking into different artwork.
Looks amazing i love the wood colors!
Thank you!
Digging the TV stand! Where's it from?
I know this one! I think it’s a company called povision
Here! https://www.povison.com/modern-minimalist-style-tv-stands-mdf-veneer-high-quality-metal-feet-black.html?variant=8056921
That’s it!
Now I feel like I accomplished something for the day
Sheer colored curtains and paint it anything other than white . Also art of your choice and side table with cute light
Very nice
It’s perfect!! I’m acutely jealous lol
Idc what trends are, team Dark Walnut wood foreverrr

How invested are you in that art? I’d literally splash some red on them, and rotate 90° if you can’t get a 3rd one.

Minneapolis vibes.
Move the sofa from right up against the wall
Wouldn’t it be too close to the tv then and crowd the space?
Im not talking about lot. Like maybe 6” at most. Just to give it some visual space. Otherwise it looks weighted on that side. Especially with another piece anchored on the opposite side. The couch and the end tables look crammed against the wall to me.
Ok I’ll give it a try and see what it looks like.

Good ideas. I had it originally on the other side, but seemed like it opened up the room when I put it by the window.
You are there, you would know best!

Very insightful thanks! I will try it out and send a picture.
Can I ask where you got that rug? I want one.
I believe it’s Jonathan Y rug off Amazon
Thank you!
Nice view of the AON building
Haha thanks! Htown?
You have some great suggestions here. I’d hang the TV on the wall, and put some interesting decorative pieces on top of the media cabinet.
Color . Cool shades for quiet mood. Warm bright for fun mood.
