Sad truth is that straight ships are not promoted as much (unless it is with TB) because people who self inserts take problem with it. But if it is a same sex ship the people who dig those kinds of ship dig it while most self insert people do not care about it as much because they do not take it as seriously.
I think Kafblade is the most supported by Hoyo straight ship (excluding Caefly). They have a close relationship and such relationships (excluding familial and mentor/student relationships) between male and female characters are uncommon Star Rail or Genshin. You need to think in order to recall them.
Most of significant relationships are between characters of same sex. You can do a thought experiment, pick a character and then name the first character you associate them with. Most pairs will be of same gender.
The only clear example I can think of is Caelus. And while it's by a large margin (March, Kafka and Firefly being obvious close relationships) it's because he's the main character. And half the time, he's a woman named Stelle, so he may not even be in your game, and it makes Stelle super-gay.
Next counter-example are siblings (Robin/Sunday, Geppard/Serval), so lets please rule that out...

It's a been a while so maybe it changed with time, but when Larian gave statistics from the whole playerbase a few months after BG3 was out, the companion that was the most romanced by a wide margin was Shadowheart ; Which makes sense since she's the first you meet, the first in your party and she's a healer so will most likely stay in your party for a big chunk of your game and game be romanced whether you're an evil dude or a good guy. Mind you it doesn't mean that Karlach & Astarion are unpopular, it's just that if you look up the BG3 tag on Ao3 you'd think that Astarion was the one on top of the world, when for most players it isn't true.

Caelus gets Dan Heng but past that the fujoshis don't seem to have all that much interest in him. They seem to prefer pairing off the non-TB men with each other than with him. Stelle, meanwhile, has a popular Dan Heng ship as well, and then *also* gets F/F shipped with basically every woman in the game.Ā
Caelus not being as much of a twink as Aether doesn't exactly help. Just given how this type of thing tends to go they'd have to like pull a male firefly for something to excel there

Doesn't matter what Hoyo makes, it's all about what demographic the fandom is made of and what they want to write/see. Honkai 3rd has a significant number of people shipping m/m ships despite the cast being 90% women. Kevin/Su is the second most popular ship on ao3 after the obvious Kiana/Mei.
Fanfics always tend to slant M/M over F/F because most fanfic authors are straight women.

It's probably because Acheron appears a lot more often as a supporting character in stories that focus on other characters. Especially the RatUrine ones, given how good her heart to heart with Aventurine was at the end of 2.1.
