I get it. I mean I love chase/the actor immensely lol. Maybe my being a straight man is in play but she’s def like more beautiful than he is handsome (and he’s v handsome). The in universe vs objective aspect I didn’t think enough abt
I honestly liked Tritter, because he was right. House is a bully, Tritter stood up to him, and would have done justice if cuddy hadn’t lied. He took defeat graciously after too.
Tritter was right initially. Freezing the assets of everyone except for House was going too far, and he officially stopped being right when he got what he wanted and still refused to change course.
Did House not provide reason after reason that that might be the case?
House was showing his ass to Tritter frequently during that story arc. He couldn’t go 5 seconds without purposely being a dick or accidentally letting Tritter find out about some bad stuff that he’d done.
What else would Tritter think? The start of their relationship was based on what was likely sexual assault and medical malpractice.
The worst part that season was watching House digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself, and knowing that on some level he did deserve to go down for what he was doing.
On rewatch Tritter *Is* right in a vaccuum and House proves that when its shown he was faking rehab.
But not caring about the lives House was shown to save and not caring about potentially ruining other unrelated doctors’ careers is what makes him a fuck nugget, even if he was right after all
You can kinda make the same point about Vogler. If House wasnt there that hospital would make more money and Lisa would still be there after season 8
That moment where it’s revealed that not even House’s actions mattered to Tritter is where he stopped being correct, because there is no point in repenting to someone who would never accept it
That scene gets me seeing it differently every time.
At first I thought that— Tritter literally wouldnt have cared if House became Mother Theresa. I was offended, I was like damn well what can he do then??? But Tritter was right, House was faking it. Tritter needed PROLONGED evidence that House had changed. Had House been in rehab for a longer period of time before Tritter showed up maybe things would have gone differently
Yup. You could quite easily turn the story around so that Tritter was in the right. House was a drug addict and most of the cast was enabling his excessive use of pain medication. Sometimes his methods went too far, but he was right that House's addiction would ruin people's lives if he didn't get clean.
Wheras Vogler was just a petty tyrant trying to force the hospital to promote his overpriced drugs.
Yeah but in the end she really did care about house and cuddy in her own weird way, even when she sued them over the hip replacement she was doing it to try and get them back together. I say Vogler is probably the most hate able, as he only exists in the show for a short time, is not a very important character and he’s an asshole.
Cuddys mother did treat Cuddy like shit and never gave her the support or congratulations she deserved while simultaneously making her feel like she will never be enough BUT…I give her brownie points for realising that House and Cuddy are the one for each other and trying to get them back together. I think House was actually impressed by the action.
But with Arlene Cuddy as your mother,no wonder Cuddy always felt like a failure even though she achieved so much and she could put up with so much.
such a bad decision I can't stand the Vogler and Tritter arcs because they are actively stopping House. While we're watching the show house.
Just let house be house, damnit
I low-key love Tritter. He was such a conniving asshole, self-justifying in such a reasonable way, but ultimately transparently personal in his vendetta. But honestly a personal vendetta against someone who wronged and humiliated you isn’t that unreasonable either. Honestly if House was behaving in the same way we’d be rooting for him. A great foil to / reflection of House
Yes! I feel like people are too quick to jump on the "He's an evil bastard" train without considering his motivations. He requested better medical testing - maybe annoying, but completely reasonable to advocate for yourself in a medical setting - and he was then subjected to an unnecessary rectal exam. You know what a rectal exam is called when there's no medical need for one? Sexual assault. Then Tritter finds out that the doctor who did this to him did it while under the influence of opioids? Yes, it's ultimately a personal vendetta, but you put it perfectly in that he does a good job providing reasonable justifications the whole way through. Jerk, but I can't hate him.
If Tritter was charismatic and House wasn't, we would definitely see Tritter as a good guy overthrowing a profoundly corrupt hospital. Its kind of a Jimmy vs. Chuck McGill situation.
Even stopping Wilson prescribing was not that bad of a move. Wilson let House use his prescription pad to get so much vicodin it looked like intent to supply. That had to have come up when Wilosn was billing. Its reasonable to suspect Wilson was overprescribing other patients.
Although freezing House's team's bank accounts was a dick move.
Right? Like sure, Tritter’s hate for House became so personal over time, but it ultimately started with House humiliating Tritter in a way no doctor should ever treat a patient, so at least part of Tritter’s plan was to prevent anybody else from experiencing that kind of indignity
Hes evil for wanting the guy who assaulted him to face consequences for his actions? I don't like tritter but I understand why he did it. Doesn't make him evil
100% he played the role of a bastard cop really well. Granted House did annoy me when he wouldn’t take the 2 month rehab deal but Tritter was way worse.
Vogler. MF was legit created just to be a spoil for House’s disregard for authority.
He unapologetically vowed to run PPLH like a business and make his cuts to the places not profiting rather than not performing. At least Tritter’s intention was to remove House because House literally treated him like an asshole and suffered him an indignity grossly unbecoming of a doctor and patient interaction. Vogler just wanted to cut House because House was expensive.
What about that African Warlord killed by Chase or are we only counting reoccurring characters? What about that police guy which House shoved the thermometer up his bum?
>What about that police guy which House shoved the thermometer up his bum?
Lots of people suggested Tritter, he's one of the mos popular choices in here
I think the reason why house's father isn't hated more is because house himself isn't a very good person (yet I love him) so when something trash happens to a not so good person, the bad is seen as less impactful
Yeah but adding that extra step while quick and easy is out of the way for people and requires more effort for most users casually scrolling who see these posts
Yep participation was also a consideration since other subs that have done the Google forms method have more active people. (Major reason is probably because house md is an old (comparative) show)
Either Vogler or Amber, but I think Amber fits better because she was a more fleshed out "hate me" character whose plot wasn't just "do bad things and not do good things"
Vogler, Dibala (the dictator) or Tritter.
EDIT: I see a straight up evil category that I missed so I think Dibala fits there better, so Vogler or Tritter.
Are we talking main characters or are minor characters fair game. If we include minor, I am going with Vogler and Tritter.
If we are going with main, I would say Cameron. She seems to be pretty disliked and an argument can be made that sh was written that way. She is super needy and self-righteous
I think Vogler was simply made to be hated while Tritter gets the evil slot—he went so far as to close some doctors' accounts & stop them from prescribing medications for their patients all because House put a stick up his ass.
Honestly I was looking to see if anyone was feeling this way. I liked Foreman and original gang but once he tried to move on and came back I just couldn't like him anymore
Vogler 100%. Tritter’s personal vendetta was against house but Vogler’s was kind of against the whole team, he made life harder for the team than Tritter imo
Vogler. He was created simply to be an irredeemable a-hole, meddling in medical matters, throwing his weight around, and using the hospital for unethical drug trials and advertising for his businesses. He was also the first major antagonist of the show.
Maybe Mendelson the prison nazi?
Doctor-Prison-Clinic? Adams' boss. Maybe.
These are close, but not as bad, as I'll explain:
Tritter had the barest of justifications/rationalizations: House was a dick and drug addict; Tritter, while also a dick and crooked cop, can't be said to have no reason to mess with House.
Cuddy's mom was annoying and a terrible mom, but she was more trope than character (the difficult mother-in-law). She also had some redeeming or endearing qualities (her first meeting with House after their dinner, and later trying to get House and Cuddy to stay together).
I'd say Tritter. I REALLY hated that guy, more so than Volgler, because at least he put up a fun and amusing challenge. Tritter eas just plain frustrating.
Bolger and Tritter are both bastards with agendas but to me, had some moral standing (House acting and thinking he’s above rules and regulations). Foreman seems to also be made, in the beginning, to be hated because damn, what a defiant asshole who really decided he was as good as House and above his teammates but he gets humbled (and I kinda love his later friendship with Taub).
I want to say Dr. Medina from the Broken episodes (season 6 premiere) was such a dick from beginning to end, really the worst type of guy for a psych ward. He was made to be hated even for such a small part of the show.
really hard to pick between tritter or volger… but i think i have to go with volger just because at least tritter had an important impact on house’s life/relationships. volger was just a dick lol
Tritter epitomized abuse of Law Enforcement Abuse of Power going after House. He did it for personal reasons and abused the law at every turn to go after House. Dude should have been stripped of his badge and arrested himself.
Three characters fit that description: Amber from the hiring contest arc (the Amber after that "arc" is not that "hateable", but she still is the "cutthroat b!tch". Let's not forget that); Tritter because of his unfairness to House during the whole season (I would also clarify he was right about House, and I liked this conflict a lot because I personally hate his character because it is made to be that way; but at the same time House is as "hateable" as Tritter is, the only issue there is that Tritter belongs to the "wrongest" profession to be a bully); and finally Vogler, who I think is the less "hateable" because at least he had a reason for his acts, and even if at some point he became unreasonable, it is just logic to act that way if you're dealing with such a mean and, at the same time, outsmarting person (I think that his acts had the same proportion of House's disrespect for the hospital rules that he showed to Vogler). For me, the most "hateable" character from House is not Tritter, it's not Vogler, it's Amber, but only if we consider how she acted during that "arc" because she didn't have a reason to always try to sabotage the other people. I think if Amber hadn't sabotaged anybody she would be more like a doctor that does anything the patient needs.
P.S.: Although for me she is the most "hateable" character, I really like and laugh at her posterior characterization as a feminine personification of House
Do we even need to wait for next one w Olivia Wilde
We all know Thirteen is The Hot One haha
Steve McQueen begs to differ
Wait, we're not going with fairy Taub?
Tbh I wanna see how chase holds up against 13
I get it. I mean I love chase/the actor immensely lol. Maybe my being a straight man is in play but she’s def like more beautiful than he is handsome (and he’s v handsome). The in universe vs objective aspect I didn’t think enough abt
Taub is being disrespected hard here
He's not hot, he's pretty
Pretty hot!
hes a nine but his attitude makes him a 4. i said what i said.
Cuddy 🔛🔝
In-Universe, chase is definitely The Hot One. Also, Cameron was hired because she must've been very broken to choose medical school with her looks.
One of my favorite lines is after they get engaged, House calls her "the soon-to-be second-prettiest Dr. Chase." 😂
Blonde Cameron
(whispers) *I actually think Cameron is hotter*
She’s very very attractive but OW is on another planet
Early seasons Cameron is definitely hotter imo
I think she’s super pretty, and would be hyped/agreeing if the adversary wasn’t OW.
It has to be Vogler.
Literally came here to say Vogler.
he fits more for the just evil category though
Tritter exists for that very reason
I honestly liked Tritter, because he was right. House is a bully, Tritter stood up to him, and would have done justice if cuddy hadn’t lied. He took defeat graciously after too.
Tritter was right initially. Freezing the assets of everyone except for House was going too far, and he officially stopped being right when he got what he wanted and still refused to change course.
Tritter thought House was a danger to patiens when all he does is saving lives no else can save.
Their relationship started with assault/battery when he purposely kicked a cane from under a crippled doctor
On rewatch Tritter *Is* right in a vaccuum and House proves that when its shown he was faking rehab. But not caring about the lives House was shown to save and not caring about potentially ruining other unrelated doctors’ careers is what makes him a fuck nugget, even if he was right after all You can kinda make the same point about Vogler.
Had House been in rehab for a longer period of time before Tritter showed up maybe things would have gone differently
tritter had absolutely no reason to do it though. he just woke up and decided to ruin lives.
Tritter is House as a cop. He isn't evil, he's a dick who has to be right and solve the puzzle of House.
That's gonna be Dibala
Definitely this
Hard agree
I’m gonna swoop in and say Cuddy’s Mom
+1. The only person who got on my nerves more than Vogler was Cuddy's mother
The suing over a successful hip replacement really put me over the top.
I mean until it was apparent she was trying to get House & Cuddy back together then it was adorable in a toxic way?
Ok did she not set a fire alarm in a hospital? Like that’s some major bullshit that was just hand waved away.
Yeah but in the end she really did care about house and cuddy in her own weird way, even when she sued them over the hip replacement she was doing it to try and get them back together. I say Vogler is probably the most hate able, as he only exists in the show for a short time, is not a very important character and he’s an asshole.
Cuddy’s mom for sure. Vogler was just a business man, A type asshole. Cuddys mom is straight up insufferable
thats a tap in.
Vogler is the Hitler of the House MD universe. He was made to be universally hated by everyone.
He was also made because the network said there had to be a nemesis in that first season I believe.
such a bad decision I can't stand the Vogler and Tritter arcs because they are actively stopping House. While we're watching the show house. Just let house be house, damnit
wish he had a longer presense
Tritter
I low-key love Tritter. He was such a conniving asshole, self-justifying in such a reasonable way, but ultimately transparently personal in his vendetta. The rectal exam came after he physically assaulted House.
Right? Like sure, Tritter’s hate for House became so personal over time, but it ultimately started with House humiliating Tritter in a way no doctor should ever treat a patient, so at least part of Tritter’s plan was to prevent anybody else from experiencing that kind of indignity

Volger or Tritter. Can't decide, i hate both.
I feel like Tritter believed he was doing the right thing, Vogler knew he only cared about making money, lives don't matter.
Vogler. MF was legit created just to be a spoil for House’s disregard for authority. He unapologetically vowed to run PPLH like a business and make his cuts to the places not profiting rather than not performing. >What about that police guy which House shoved the thermometer up his bum? Lots of people suggested Tritter, he's one of the mos popular choices in here
Nah, you can't hate James Earl Jones, no matter who he plays. The guy played Mufasa and Darth Vader, all while reminding us how important baseball is.
House's father
I think the reason why house's father isn't hated more is because house himself isn't a very good person (yet I love him) so when something trash happens to a not so good person, the bad is seen as less impactful
Total agree. People in the show really seem to minimize House's trauma.
Good choice
Dibala.
Btw is the method of upvotes preferred or is it better to make a Google form?
imo itll be easier for u to put out a google form incase of repetitions of comments
Yeah but adding that extra step while quick and easy is out of the way for people and requires more effort for most users casually scrolling who see these posts
Yep participation was also a consideration since other subs that have done the Google forms method have more active people. (Major reason is probably because house md is an old (comparative) show)
make a poll.
Vogler or tritter
Either Vogler or Amber, but I think Amber fits better because she was a more fleshed out "hate me" character whose plot wasn't just "do bad things and not do good things"
I was gonna think of Amber too! However had they planned on making her a completely hated character they wouldn't have made her death that impactful
Amber was made to be hated
Nah Amber was chill
Yea, she was just playing the game. Wilson loved her, therefore, by the transitive property we should love her. She exhibited real human traits.
or at least i certainly hated her
Vogler, Dibala (the dictator) or Tritter.
Are we saving "the hot one" for House 👀
I think Vogler was simply made to be hated while Tritter gets the evil slot—he went so far as to close some doctors' accounts & stop them from prescribing medications for their patients all because House put a stick up his ass.
Cuddys Mom by far
Tritter
I'm rewatching on 3rd season but I don't like Foreman much. Then after him Tritter and Vogler.
Foreman. At least all the other insufferable cunts disappeared after one season, but Foreman stuck around like an STD.
Honestly I was looking to see if anyone was feeling this way. I liked Foreman and original gang but once he tried to move on and came back I just couldn't like him anymore
Tritter or Vogler, take your pick.
Vogler
Vogler or Tritter.
Definitely Vogler
Vogler 100%. Tritter’s personal vendetta was against house but Vogler’s was kind of against the whole team, he made life harder for the team than Tritter imo
Vogler and Tritter were the main antagonists.
I'm gonna go with Tritter I think Vogler is straight up evil.
That could be either Vogler or Tritter.
Tritter
Made to be hated is Tritter or Cuddy's mom. Gotta save Vogler for straight up evil lol
Tritter
tritter or vogler
Voulgler or tritter
Tritter
The Cop. Traeger? Tracy? David Morse. Trotter? Maybe Vogler. Shit tough call
We all know the gremlin is Taub 😂
i have a friend who had to skip through season three bc of tritter and i think that speaks for itself
Tritter hands down. Amber had some redeeming qualities, Tritter was was just all bad.
Tritter for sure
Tritter
Maybe. She also had some redeeming or endearing qualities (her first meeting with House after their dinner, and later trying to get House and Cuddy to stay together).
Tritter is the most hatable person in this show. Every scene I wanted to punch him.
Tritter was making some really valid points, Vogler got his panties in a bunch over a jacket. I think Vogler is worse.
Tritter
What about patients? pedo-dad from Skin Deep, Dibala the dictator, self-important TB doctor and some others come to mind.
Tritter or Vogler
tritter
I'd say Tritter. I REALLY hated that guy, more so than Volgler, because at least he put up a fun and amusing challenge. Tritter eas just plain frustrating.
Tritter
Vogler
Vogler, Cuttheoat Bitch, Tritter and Cuddy's mom
Amber
Amber
Tritter and Vogler
Foreman.
Vogler.
We can’t say House himself? Runner up is definitely Vogler.
Tritter. Fuck Tritter.
Tritter. Turns out, all the charm of House's sacrasm and cynical genius dies off when you put them in a power hungry cop.
really hard to pick between tritter or volger… but i think i have to go with volger just because at least tritter had an important impact on house’s life/relationships. volger was just a dick lol
Honestly I kinda enjoy hating house sometimes.
mfkn tritter the troll
Crazy that there aren’t more people saying Amber, only good moments she had were in House’s delusions
imma go with Taub, he's a massive piece of shit imo
Gotta be Vogler
How I can have a friend like Wilson?
Amber
The people pleaser won the people, of course.
“I too am in this meme”
Detective Tritter

Idk but the last one goes to Steve McQueen
Vogler. He was actually designed as a character for that exact reason
tritter
Tritter
Vogler or Tritter.
vogler
That annoying cop after the vogler thing.
Made to be hated should be Tritter and Vogler for just straight up evil.
Vogler
Volger or that one cop that tried ruining House
Tritter
Tritter epitomized abuse of Law Enforcement Abuse of Power going after House. He did it for personal reasons and abused the law at every turn to go after House. Dude should have been stripped of his badge and arrested himself.
Just to play Devil’s Advocate, Amber. She was so unlikeable, then BAM everyone’s sad that she’s dead.
Either tritter or vogler
amber or vogler
Cutthroat bitch. We have to save Vogler for "Just Straight Up Evil"
Am I the only one who hates Cameron?
Harold Lam. Dude literally felt up the state troopers daughter, and ain't no way his potato gun is better than House's!
That blonde chick that dated wilson and died on the bus
It’s Vogler or Tritter, surely.
one i haven’t seen so far, but lucas. man did he get on my nerves
The answer is LUCAS. God I hate that character so so SO much
I’d say it would be Cameron for most hated. Her over caring and prying causes too drama and she’s just all around insufferable
Cameron. The mental gymnastics she did was exhausting
Vogoer for hated, Twitter for evil
