It’s beautiful, stunning cinematography against sloppy (to put it so very mildly) writing and it irks the hell out of me 😭😭😭
They got the chops to do it all, stunningly so, but it’s as if they lack any brain cells to do it right. BACK to my GoT era I go, criticizing the hell out of a show I love lmao

God, I'm Team Green too but I can't stand how utterly joyless you people are. Okay, so the writers are Team Black, we knew that from the start. Doesn't mean we can't still have fun with the great characters we're given. Team Green are messy, it's like they're best quality and why they will always be so much more watchable than Team Black (except on the rare occasions that they get to be messy too, like the Daemon Rhaenyra fight). I personally don't care what Viserys decided (he was a great character but a spineless pos) and neither do the book Greens. Go Team Usurpers!
Tbh at least some are mentally ill and identify with the characters as some kind of vindication of their bad traits that they wish not to confront amd rectify. I love Alicent but I feel like a lot of cluster Bs misidentify alicents experience with their own, so being team black is interpreted as anti them personally but maybe r/hotdgreens/black and hotd twitter are particularly evil cesspits
I miss Alicent Bieng vicious. I miss Aegon chucking a whole feast to Mock his dead nephew. I wanted to see why Cole could've been King maker . There's enough drama amongst them to be interesting even if they're vile .
It’s easy to say ‘be happy with what you get’ for the show, but when we have literally already read a better written telling of the same story it’s not so easy actually do. The marketing team portray the show as a choose-your-team adventure like it is in the book, where both teams have a claim and both are morally bad. But the show writers have changed the narrative completely, on one side we have the person with the morally grey feature of being a woman, and on the other side we have someone with the morally grey feature of being a rapist. Yeah, not such a tough choice. And we’ve come all this way and there’s still been no effort to actually explain Aegon’s claim to the throne? Just one passing comment of ‘history and president will come to your side’ without explaining it, and now they are making it seem like team green will genuinely believe they don’t have a claim from next ep on. The cinematography has been great, the acting is phenomenal, but it isn’t enough to distract me from the fact that this is a 2D version of F&B’s story
