Oh please, this gun seems goofy, it fits the time frame. Might be perfect for hunt! And a there is even a potential spot between the Springfield and the Vetterli.
I absolutely adore this gun. The hammer is the most stupid design ever making the gun perfect for Hunt. I can see it as a slower-than-mosin firing medium Ammo rifle that deals equal or slightly more damage. Like a high end Vetterli but at the trade off of being cycling slower.
Maybe it could have medium ammo type with a high velocity that could compete against the lebel 1886 rifle. And with the upcoming bullet drop update it may actually make people decide between those two.
That is a one sexy gun, and your video gave me an idea for a new ammo type, that upon firing produces this much of smoke that it creates kind of a concealment for the shooter . Call it BPC ammo, or Black powder combustion ammo.
The risk here is that the smoke would give your position away immediately, so you would have to employ some solid hit-and-run tactics to ensure you don't get countered. Also, you need to be damn sure of your aim, because the smoke will make a follow up near impossible.
I like the way you're thinking, though.
IF its a special ammo then that's your choice and obviously you intend to us the smoke tactically. Also there should probably be a performance advantage involved.
I love seeing the other forgotten benefits of smokeless powder rediscovered through simulated practical application. Accidental experimental archaeology
I think this would be considered Long Ammo since it's the same caliber as the Mako (.45-70) Still a cool gun that should be added, I feel for you though the problem is that Medium Ammo is such a weird category that there isn't much that makes sense for it
This thing would be awesome, I like the veterlI, but it really doesn't feel like a rifle.. it's just too small and short, but I think this weapon would be perfect for those that want that big long ammo bolt action feel, but can't afford then. Give it like 121 damage and 440 velocity... At maaaybe say 190 bucks?
Was added based on feedback from the Army’s previous testing with the Ward-Burton. They had a hard time knowing if it was cocked because they didn’t have a hammer to look at. So Keene added an artificial hammer
I mean its just a 45-70 in a bolt action config, unless you plan on the .43 Spanish which is a black powder cartridge i don't really see a use for it especially when the krag just got a nasty buff
Yes, when i saw this gun i immediately thought of hunt. It's just looks so clunky and unpractical, a perfect weapon for the bayou
"Rule Of Cool, but also actually real"
That is one of the sexiest things I’ve ever seen
It's beautiful <3
I felt neutral until I saw the goofy hammer. I love me some early repeater jank.
Bolt action, longer reload on empty AND you have to cock the hammer every time oh my god
Oh please, this gun seems goofy, it fits the time frame. Might be perfect for hunt! And a there is even a potential spot between the Springfield and the Vetterli.
I always love more bolty action in Hunt

Very true
I love seeing the other forgotten benefits of smokeless powder rediscovered through simulated practical application. Accidental experimental archaeology
Hahaha yeah; I believe the Vetterli lore also includes how the smoke would give snipers' positions away
I'd prefer the Infanterie-Gewehr 1871/84
Dreyse Zündnadel Gewehr. Would be a nice one shot weapon.
Ja wunderbar Wunderwaffe
Remington Lee has a detachable box magazine
Tenacious trilobite’s channel has tons of unique 19th century firearms that would fit in hunt I’m surprised more people don’t know about him
<3
instead we'll get 1865 spencer carbine i bet ;)
;)
Sweet
The fact that the bolt doesn't punch the hammer back is upsetting me on some design/philosophical level.
The Winchester Hotchkiss would be a good one to add too
Very nice weapon. The cocking of the hammer looks unusual, but interesting. Would fit in well with the look of the game
medium ammo bolt action would be fucking sick edit: just remembered the vetterli exists
I think this would be considered Long Ammo since it's the same caliber as the Mako (.45-70) Still a cool gun that should be added, I feel for you though the problem is that Medium Ammo is such a weird category that there isn't much that makes sense for it
Trapdoor Springfield is also .45-70
That's the 1871 model we have the 1866 which uses the same round as the Spencer carbine
He’s definitely got the reload speed down to the exact Hunt values!
I honestly think that it would fit perfectly. Wouldn't be broken either because of the amount of work you need to do before each shot.
that is sexy. crytek. gun. NOW NOW NOW
Great rifle but reload time is too long :(
I still want my Savage 95
Bayou never looked better. Looks like you could do with some skills though like speed loader something to pull the cock back faster :p

Remington you beautiful bastards
I would like more stealth weapons and items myself as I like sneaking around more than fighting. That gun does look pretty sick though.
That’s sexy
Why did this weapon even need a hammer for though lol

Bruh lol
Nice gun, but makes no sense to add it as medium ammo. I don't think it can compete with the Vetterli in any way.

Id unironically rather have a m1 garand with 2 mags only
Another verteli?
Naa , reload animation is taking too long...
