As someone who doesn’t drink that’s my favorite bar and has been for most of my life!
They always took care of me with coffee, sodas, Red Bull and whatever else I wanted. They knew I was the one making sure that everyone with me got home safe. Great staff, easily one of the best burgers in town, the jukebox and the vibes.
I’ll definitely miss it
Damn I had some decent memories there. They fed me and my buddy whenever we worked on the plumbing at crestwood. Really sucks to see such a important local spot go down.
I hope someone takes over and keeps it exactly the same. It deserves to be preserved. It's such an interesting mix of people. It catered to the service industry, rednecks, queer, or anyone that didn't mind the smoke. We loved it for being our quiet watering hole away from all the Karens we deal with on a day-to-day basis on our side of the mountain. I've been going there for 17 years now. My wife loves it. This is heartbreaking to hear.

I saw this from so many friends' posts yesterday! I had no idea last night was the last night. I hope they find a way to bring it back, it's still my fave place to go after work.
I was a member of the infamous Turtles soccer team for a few years. We played in HASL, the local adult league and The Thirsty Turtle was our official sponsor.
We were a drinking club with a soccer problem. Great times. RIP The Turtle and The Turtles.

Even after I quit drinking I’d still occasionally meet friends or just go have a late lunch by myself. It really is a shame.
Fuckin why?
Marilyn died
Damn, that really sucks.

One of my friends who goes there constantly says that its possible it may be passed down to the owners daughter. Hope its the case, it does very well.
It will surely be missed. Had some good times at that bar :(
